I’d like to know if it is possible to pull data only for a selected list of movies and tv shows and only feature these on the site?
Can news be linked to a movie/tv show and perhaps be shown in a new tab on the specific movie page?
Also is it possible to show trailers from another site other than youtube such as vidmeup.com?
Lastly I noticed that the Writers and Directors to not link to their People profiles and the aspect ratio of the posters that show up in the search box look off, can these issues be fixed?

What do you mean by a selected list of movies exactly?
News can’t be linked to specific movies or tv shows currently (at least not without code modification).
Trailers from different sites should work as long as they have embed option.
Writers and directors don’t have a separate page currently. As for aspect ration where exactly does that issue occur?

Basically I want to add only specific movies for example 2012, Harry Potter, and The Matrix but not all the movies in a specific genre or year.
The aspect ratio issue occurs when I type something the the search box and the search suggestions show up.
Yes, you can fetch only specific movies from imdb or themoviedb.
As for the aspect issue, on what browser does that occur?

Thanks, it looks much better now. I noticed that people do not show up in the same search box drop down that appears…is that a bug?
Also I have one more quick question: What are your future plans if any with this script? Any new developments or features planned? Like linking news to movies or series or adding multiple videos?
It’s not a bug, that auto-suggest only works for movies and series currently, full search page will look for people too though.
As for plans, we have a bunch of updates in mind although we don’t like to give out a list of features we plan to implement in a future as some of them might need to be scraped for one reason or another.

There’s not much we can do about the number of calls unfortunately as it’s required to fetch all the movie or series information.
would it not be better to call them in bundles of like 25 50 75 100 in turn more people could use it because they dont need the extra sql requirements? or using a cron to fetch them in numbers?
and please do not take offence or get annoyed by my comments, i know very little about coding just have seen it done in similar scripts and think it was good.
That is how it’s done already, the error your are getting is caused by a inserting a single title into database, that’s why we can’t do much about it, there’s no way to optimize it any more at that point unfortunately.
It would be nice if you can add inifity scroll for mobile devices

Hey there! I was testing profile page filters and pagination and found what I think are bugs. When you add more than 10 Watchlist/Favorite items to your profile they stop being properly ordered. The second bug is after 18 items and you turn to #page-2 and refresh then you can’t go back to #page-1 I’d also like to ask while I’m here if you plan to add a delete button to items on profile? And will a better review system be implemented or replaced with a comment system for that matter like something I’m typing on here with replies.

As for other question, there is a comment system already, you just need to enter your disqus shortname.

There are some other criteria for auto-showing them in categories (like minimum number of votes on metacritic, release date etc) to avoid pulling in irrelevant movies. You can attach them to categories manually though.

Hello, Somehow i have added a category named latest on homepage , I have set it to update automatically and show latest titles. I have also cleared cache , It is still showing nothing. Any idea?
It will auto-populate only when you have enough titles in your database. You can attach them manually from dashboard as I mentioned though.
i already have 200 titles , And shouldnt it show latest titles from them ?
It’s latest tiles as in the ones that are playing or have recently been playing in theaters not the ones you have added recently.

Make sure .htaccess file got copied over properly from download to your server (main folder to where you uploaded mtdb)
i copied exact file in folder, when i open mysiteurl.com/install it is showing internal server error

I fixed it. Both settings “no” 
I like the SLIDER option, but are we able to make it more than 4 features/movie? If so, how? Also, I cant find a way to change the order of which feature/movie shown, unless remove them and re-add in the order preferred. One more thing about the slider, how to add a delay option to make it auto-slide to next feature/movie? BTW – Love the script. I would recommend it.

Now i have other problem. I can’t login. Its like I’m logged in, because i see Dashboard in menu, but when i click on Dashboard it redirect me to Login page.
