Hi just a pre sale question, can I add options to this panel. Slider etc?
Also if I buy a normal version can I use it on my themes on themeforest?

Thanks so much for your interest in ProPanel.
Yes you can add an unlimited amount of options and pages to the panel. It comes with samples of the 10 option types which can simply be copy/past throughout your custom panel. Very easy to generate powerful options.
In order to use within a ThemeForest theme you’ll simply need to purchase an Extended License. Please also note that the Extended License is only valid for a single theme so if using again in future theme you’ll simply need to purchase 2nd Extended License.

Does the new extended license terms means I cannot use this item for in a Themeforest template for resale?

The updated Extended License allows for an agreement between author and developer for usage in “in-stock” items (ie themeforest templates)

I bought it. And I want to use it for my WordPress theme.
My WordPress theme is a Child Theme from Twenty Twelve. Really difficult to use, you should set up to be able to work well on the child theme.

Hi, this panel looks great. I’m thinking of buying it. I want to add a section to the ‘Homepage Settings’ tab where a user can input text (including html) which will appear on the homepage of the site, or use your dropdown list to replicate the text (and html) from that page.
Does this panel allow for features like this to be built?

Yes you can create an unlimited amount of Tabs (ie. Homepage settings, footer settings, etc) and each tab can have an unlimited amount of options.
All options are stored in a variable so you will simply retrieve the values from the Options Panel, save it into a variable, and display anywhere throughout your website.

Thanks so much for your ProPanel purchase.
The ProPanel itself can’t make changes to the actual style.css file however you can output your styles within your theme’s header.php file.
1. Please follow along the included Documentation file (documentation.html) for setting up your ProPanel and options.
2. Once you’ve created your color picker you can output the value to your theme like so:
1. open up header.php
2 store the value of your color picker into a variable
$sample_color_field = get_option('yourtheme_sample_color_field');
3. Lastly add CSS before the closing </head> tag within your header.php file:
<style type="text/css">
<?php echo 'div#banner{background-color:'.$sample_color_field.'}'; ?>
</style>
That’s about it. The sky’s the limit!

Currently the ProPanel is only built for Themes. If you are skilled with PHP /Wordpress Coding you can indeed modify the code to optimize it for Plugins.
Here are some notes for modifying for Plugin:
1) The requiring of files will be different and the path will have to be changed from theme to plugin.
2) The enqueuing and registering of all admin scripts and css will be different, as it will have to be changed from theme to plugin.

1. You can create Google Font option using dropdown, image select, text field, etc. You would just follow the quickstart guide for Google Fonts and instead of inputting the font name you would replace the font name with the variable from your Options Panel: https://developers.google.com/webfonts/docs/getting_started#Quick_Start
2. No plans for sub-menu at this time.
3. No plans for import/export at this time.

Hi 1) Does your Sterling theme have an RTL stylesheet or do you know anyone that flipped it to RTL ? If I am proficient in CSS do you forsee any issues in flipping it to RTL ? 2) You say the theme is woocommerce compatible, does that mean you give support to the theme in matters that are connected to to integrating it with the woo commerce plugin? Thanks so much for your interest in the Sterling theme.
As per your questions:
1) Sterling does not come with an RTL stylesheet however we don’t foresee any issues with implementing RTL .
2) Sterling is fully compatible with WooCommerce. We are able to give support in terms of how the Sterling theme interacts with the WooCommerce Plugin however we’re not able to provide support for only the plugin itself. WooCommerce is very much plug-and-play and there are many resources out there on the web so it is very unlikely that you’ll have any issues using the plugin.

1. The Homepage is fully customizable page that can be created with shortcodes and HTML code.
2. Yes. The background image is set to the body element so it only appears if you’re using the boxed-layout design version of Sterling.
3. Sterling comes with 18 predefined color schemes. These are simply professionally designed color options for users who prefer not to come up with their own color scheme. We also offer a color-picker tool built into Sterling’s custom Options Panel which allows you to create any color scheme you’d like.
4. You can see the color choices on the Live Preview Site. We’ve recently added a styling options tool to the demo site. You may need to re-set your browsers cache in order to see this new tool on right side of the screen. http://themes.truethemes.net/Sterling

I want to buy extended license for this framework, can I sell my theme outside themeforest marketplace ?
Yes indeed. The Extended License allows for you to sell outside of the Envato Marketplaces.
Please note however that the Extended License is only valid for a single application. Anytime you create a new Wordpress Theme you will need to purchase an additional Extended License for that theme.
