Hi there, I have Pre-sale questions:
I have a task and want to know if I can solve with this plugin. I must create a event tool: - existing users importing from excel or csv - user have different categories for assignment to different admins - user frontend login to completed his profile and answer the question whether they participate or not - frontend pages for different admins to list and edit all user data only of his own categorie and filter - frontend excel or csw export of userlist
Can I do this with your plugin?

Also bei den unterschiedlichen Admins sehe ich ein Problem. XLS und CSV export sind aktuell ebenfalls nicht vorgesehen, werden aber mit einem nächsten Release des Datatables-Plugin (ist ja Bestandteil) ergänzt. Also ganz ohne Programmierung wird das nicht klappen.

Vielen Dank für die Rückmeldung. Bei den Admins mache ich mir noch nicht so viel Soregen, da man das evtl. auch mit einer Filterung lösen kann. Ich denke dass es hierbei eher um den Komfort und nicht um Zugriffsrechte geht.
Also ich habe bisher keine Erfahrung mit Gravity Forms, daher frage ich mich viel mehr ob das mit dem Login der einzelnen user funktioniert damit die Ihre Daten berabeiten können. Ist das denn überhaupt möglich?

Genrell kann Gravity Forms das nicht. Die Funktion wird über das List&Edit Plugin hergestellt, aber auch nur für Daten die bereits als “Eintrag” in der Gravity-Forms Tabelle vorhanden sind. Ein Tool zum Importieren von Daten existiert bislang leider nicht (ist aber in Arbeit). Die Frage wäre, wie die Daten vorliegen. Als SQL-Tabelle oder als Daten im Wordpress-Benutzerprofil ? Für das Benutzerprofil wird es in kürze (WE) eine neue Lüsung geben. Für SQL-Tabellen wird die Lösung noch 2-3 Wochen auf sich warten lassen. Dann kann Gravity-Forms als Front-End für SQL-Tabellen verwendet werden.
Ich habe heute Morgen noch einmal mit dem Kunden zu den Anforderungen gesprochen. Zusammnfassend wäre optimal folgendes geplant: - Import der Teilnehmerliste (Kundenliste) von csv in die Gravity-Forms Tabelle (wenn das überhaupt machbar ist?) - Login Seite (frontend) für die Teilnehmer, die dann weitere Felder bearbeiten müssen und speichern. - Login für die Admins (frontend), die eine Liste mit allen Teilnehmern sehen und bearbeiten können. Die Liste müsste man dann nach einem bestimmten Feld filtern können, damit die verschiedenen Admins die Kunden filtern können, für die sie zuständig sind. Das wäre Variante 1 – Hälst Du das für machbar? Abweichende Variante 2 wäre die csv-Liste als Wordpress Benutzerprofil zu importieren und dann im frontend darauf zuzugreifen. Der Rest muss bleiben wie bei 1. Hälst Du das für machbar?
Machbar ja. Aber eben entweder mit individual Programmierung für den Import und das Filtern oder warten auf das Datatable-Frontend-Plugin. Das Login im Front-End geht ja auch schön mit kostenlosen plugins (mein Favorit ist da immer das ‘Sidebar login’.) Kannst ja mal über mein Profil eine Nachricht schicken, damit ich per eMail Antworten kann.
Also vorab erstmal besten Dank für Deine Unterstützung. Wie Du schreibst dauert das Warten ja nicht allzu lange und das wäre auch kein Problem. Aber ich bin mir nicht ganz sicher ob ich Dich bzw. wir uns richtig verstehen. Ich habe dann ca 500 WP User Profile mit zusätzlichen customfeldern. Diese können ganz normal über ein FE-Login von den Usern bearbeitet werden. Für die Admins (Kundenbetreuer) kann ich dann mit Dem Plugin auf diese Userprofile zugreifen, sie ebenfalls bearbeiten und filtern?

Also 1. User können Ihre Profile, inkl. Custom-Fields im FE bearbeiten = JA 2. Admin kann alle User-Profile im FE bearbeiten = würde ich einbauen 3. Liste der User ( je Admin ) mit Link zum Editieren = NEIN. Da überlege ich mir mal was.
Hallo, ich komme mal zurück auf unsere Diskussion. Der Projektstart hatte sich ziemlich lange hingezogen, da der Kunde auf die Idee kam mit uns zahlreiche Datenschutzvereinbarungen abzuschliessen. Deshalb hatte ich mich auch weiter nicht mehr gemeldet, da ich mir nicht sicher war, ob das überhaupt noch was wird. Jetzt ist aber alles geklärt und dieses Thema ist für mich acuh für viele andere Projekte interessant. Du sagtest ja das da ich Kürze was weiterentwickelt wird. Gibt es denn hier was neues? Leider noch nicht. Mache gerade alle Plugins fit für Gravity Forms 2.0. Bis Ende Mai dürfte aber alles durch sein.
I just purchased and installed the plugin but simply can´t find out how to put a list to a page. Is there a shortcode? I also couldn´t get the add-, edit- and delete-buttons to be displayed, although I set the options in the form´s settings. Neither putting this to ‘Icon Button’ nor to ‘Text Button’ seems to take any effect. Can you please help???
At the plugin directory there is a sub-dicretory /doc with a full documentation. The shortcode is [gravitylist id=?], where id is your form-id. The addnew, update and delete buttons are only visible at the list-view.

Thanks for your quick reply. Everything now works fine so far. But I have one more question: Does the form for editing the entries have to be on the same page where the entries were stored? Or does it only have to be the same form? I ask this because clicking on the ‘edit’ or ‘delete’ button under the form doesn´t save/delete the entry. All that´s displayed is gravity´s little red rotating loading sign until the end of time…

Ich kann aktuell keinen Fehler finden. Die einzelnen Seiten kann ich natürlich nicht kontrollieren. Die “GFEDIT” Seite muss die Seite sein auf der auch das Formular mit dem [Gravityforms] shortcode eingebunden ist. Ansonsten bitte über das Profil eine Nachricht mit den Zugangsdaten senden.
Da ich das Anmelde-Formular in einem Tab anzeige, die “Profil bearbeiten”-Seite aber andere Tabs haben soll, sind es zwei unterschiedliche Seiten. Deshalb meine Frage, ob die Seite dieselbe sein muss. Das Formular ist auf beiden Seiten natürlich das gleiche. Ich schicke gerne mal den Zugang rüber. Vielen Dank.

Hi ! Sorry about my late reply. The ‘admin-only’ setting works only with the Gravity-Forms Backend. If a field is marked as ‘admin-only’ you can edit this field only at the GF-Backend, so it’s only for the admin.

Is it possible to show the entries to the current logged in user? For instance I have a page where a user uploads some content. Below the form we want to show their previous submissions. But not be able to see submissions by other users.
There is a setting to restrict the record display only to the user who saved the entries.
Hello, I’ve seen you just add datatable.net supports. Is it possible to use the export functions of datatable.net easily to export a CSV or Excel file with filtered datas?

I have a form where people choose a products and purchase, however if the user chooses his mind, i can’t change the products and total…
will this plugin allow me to change the products what the user purchased after they submitted the form and of course to adjust the total? Thanks!!!!
This will work. But only for the form. This will not work with a Payment-AddOn.

The Plugin Release 2.0 will be out in about 2 weeks. This will support the current GF and WP releases.

Does it also support custom post types and fields the demo page is not very clear is their a demo admin panel

There isn’t an admin-demo. Do you mean custom-post-types as posts that will be created with GF ? This isn’t a Problem. But the current release doesn’t support custom-post-types as post where the form resides.
Hello, is possible to only display the forms that are active? I am using the Date Start and Date End restrictions of Gravity Forms so is important than only show to be available to delete the forms that are still ACTIVE in date restrictions.

Hi I need to know if this plugin helps to change the layout of the entries. At the moment i need to print out 14 pages every time people do an inquiry on my website as I have a big inventory list for them to fill in. I hope I can change the entries layout to 3 our 3 columns so that i don’t have to print out 14 pages every time. If this plugin cannot do this then what is your recommendation for solution.

No. There isn’t support for this from GF
There seems to be a conflict with the latest version of Gravity Forms. When this plug-in is active, it prevents e-mail notifications from being sent out from Gravity Forms. I’ve tried Activating/De-activating several times and it is this plug=in that does it. Can we get a patch?
Is it possible to create lists like they have in Forbes with different user-defined parameters? For example….like this Would it be possible to have filtering based on the form elements… like age or salary ?. It would also be okay if I could achieve something like that together using a combination of plugins that you can suggest?
When editing an entry, are you using the gravity form to edit them or its a separate form? I have some calculations in gravity for and some gravity form plugins. Will this affect when editing an entry? – will purchase if this is possible. thanks

Hello, Is is possible to display in Edit-Mode only the fields that have “Show Field in Entry List ” selected? I have a case where the email field is hidden in the Entry List table, but when I click on Edit button, the email field is available for editing. And even if I don’t want to change that field, I have to copy the inserted email address into the Email Confirmation field and then save my changes.
