hi. How can ? fix the image and use your system to on it. Because if monitor has changed, marked shifts in
I didn’t got exactly what u mean, can u clarify?
sorry. its mean in turkish “Arkaplan? Ekrana S??d?rma”. fit background image to screen what can ? do? ? use google translate to explain “giving different images on different computers and shifting boxes.”...
some letters u use are foreign and r not display on my machine i just got question marks, ex: “fit background image to screen what can ? do? ?”. it’s impossible to know what u mean this way. also what do u mean by “shifting boxes”?
i guess u mean responsive images , u just need to check the responsive option in the editor to be able to serve different image sizes using the same generated code
Hi. Really looking forward to using hotspotter. Would I be able to use hotspotter on an svg or canvas rather than an img? Thanks
Sure u can , i have already tested it. but the Editor is only used for the usual img tags.
Though you can use the Editor for positioning spots & editing tooltips content, then u just replace img tag with your canvas or svg when u get the generated code!
Brilliant. Thank you. This plugin rules!
thanks
Hi, The plugin looks great.. Before i buy i just need to know if i can define custom spots that are irregular in shape.. maybe like outline a country?
Thanks
you can’t use it to directly create irregular shapes like HTML maps , only regular shapes u can use images , custom styles or markup as spots.
Thanks for your interest.
Hi before i purchase your code, would like to know if it will work within a as i understand it will have js calling. Because i tried putting some js code within my slider frame, the js does not work.
i didn’t got exactly what u mean , but u need to include jquery with the plugin & run the plugin
all instruction are in documentation, also you will have email support. thanks for your interest.
yes i understand that it requires the plugin to be called in the head section. just hope that it works when i place your code within a content slider. cool script you have there
will most likely purchase your script.
glad you liked it!. the google question is outside the scope of the plugin, sorry i cant help with it
I have found one way around.. I added an extra class to the button with an image as a background and added the size etc. Then added a Mercury around the trigger name. So there is no text, but the button has a background image.
Unless there is an easier way?
you can use the provided api to trigger or untrigger the spot using ANY element, just bind event to the element & make it trigger or untrigger any spot.
suppose u have spot with id=”test”, to trigger it from image use
“same applies to DIV” or better bind event from separate script, finally plz use email for support questions “use the contact form in my profile”
<img src="URL" onmouseover="$('#test').hotspotter('trigger')" onmouseout="$('#test').hotspotter('untrigger')" />
I would like to use an ‘image’ for the control spots with Java, e.g. use alt=”Mercury” in the image as the java trigger.
At the moment it works using the text as the name of the trigger. Is it possible to make it work with images for the Java button? Or as a DIV (With anything within the div the trigger?)
Thanks
Hello,
I’m wondering if I can embed YouTube video into hotspot?
Hi Drew, you can’t add the video in hotspot but you can add it in the tooltip
- create a red spot & edit it’s tooltip in the editor along with your spots
- click “Get Code”, find the div with class “red-spot” which have a the needed tooltip associated with it
- remove ‘class=”red-spot”’ from this div , add the video iframe code u got from youtube inside this div
- change “data-coord” attribute in the changed div to be like ‘data-dim=”w, h,0”’, replace w & h with width & height of the video iframe
- change iframe width & height attributes to 100%
- Done!
i have already tested it with major browsers, if u got something wrong , email me and i will sent u an example.
remember that the Editor won’t be able to load any customization u add to generated code.
Nice product here- I’m delving right in.
Now, is it possible to put a delay on the mouse hover time for the popup? I will be having dozens of hotspots and a hover popup delay would prevent boxes popping up as the user moves the mouse all over the image.
Thanks hperlman@usgs.govunfortunately it require custom coding and i am not available right now. still i will be happy to support default functionality, thanks for ur interest.
I can not get it to work. I created the code using your editor in the preview it looks perfect but when I copy the code to my page with the java code links before my </head> and using fire bug i see no files missing when the page loads yet the background image loads with no hotspots nothing at all
plz email me URL of the page
I fixed it . in your code you did not include a link to jQuery you need to add that to your plugins folders add it to the instruction snip it. This will save your from having to deal with stupid questions like mine
Also needed your help we are moving this to a c# application and so the map can point to products and the html that is renders from the database. But we are running into some small issues and was wondering if you could send me your contact info I do not mind paying you extra to get this going with. Please specify your time zone too so that I can coordinate with my developers
good to hear u have fixed it , i left jquery inclusion for user to choose whether they want to get it from any CDN or local server, but i will add google cdn in docs to avoid any confusion.
sorry i am not available right now for freelance work , but will be happy to support any questions regarding Hotspotter.
I need your help with something. We are using C# to bring content but the issue is if we put the code on the page it loads but if we put it inside of your hotspots t deos not it works if we change the display:block it works but if it is set to display:none it does not execute the code that would render the data.
Can you give me a java scripts or something that would load the content then hide it an on hover it would display the already preloaded data
email me URL of the page, plz use email for support questions u can find a contact form in my profile page.
Just to add i have used the data-imgdim but has no effect
Can i say great plugin!.. I have 1 issue that i need advice on.. I am using a image spot and using the editor have placed my images over it and selected the responsive. Now the rollover worked and the main image resizes to the browser but the hover over does not.
If i refresh the browser when loading the test site in another screen size the main image is fine but the rollover is alway lager than what it should be though it does resize just not correctly
thanks pauljq, i have spotted the bug & fixed & tested it with major browsers, now image spots will scale & reposition as expected, it’s now in Envato review queue!
if u dont want to wait for review, email me and i will send the patched version
Thats Great!!! I have email you Thanks
Not following the installation process described in your main documentation page. Add jquery and plugin files where? Insert what code from the editor, just the html? Where is the unique javascript created from within the editor?
i didn’t got exactly what’s your problem, but as i said in docs you will upload the files in “plugin/minified” folder , then include the css & js files in your HTML , run the plugin “just copy & paste the copy i provided” finally u will be able to copy & paste HTML generated from the editor in this page.
email me if u got something wrong, i will be happy to help u.
i got ur email & tried to reply but yahoo returned a not valid user id, try send another email with ur currently active email in it.
Purchased this script & very happy.
MichaelAsgian : ” Having the ability to save/load in works projects is a must for my use.”
seconded by me.I also need it. Because it is really will make this plugin rich in feature. You : “i am already considering it, i will add it as soon as possible.” I am waiting this your update.
glad u like it. The load feature was implemented , try it in live preview
Looks great and I would consider using this tool for a few projects. Having the ability to save/load in works projects is a must for my use. Any intentions into bringing that up?
i am already considering it, i will add it as soon as possible.
email me from my profile page & i will notify you when finished, thanks for your interest
Great
Hi this is almost exactly what I want but I need to implement it into a gallery (to have multiple images like this)
How hard would that be do to?
Thank you, I would be willing to implement it myself into any of the other millions of galleries, but what worries be most is that the coordinates might overlap on each slide. so I would have all of the coordinates showing up on all of the images.
I don’t have the code yet though so I haven’t tested anything and can’t be sure.. Just a guess as to what the problem might be.. Looking forward to your email.
look at my profile page , you will find a contact form
Hi,
Can you save a project (image) with hotspots and get back to it a later time to update it. Instead of starting all over because you can not save the project you are working on?
thanks bc
unfortunately you can’t save, but the generated HTML is still intuitive & easy to work with.
if it gathered more interest i will implement it.
Now you can also Load images!
ok i bought the scripts .
can you please be more specific and advise when i use aim the window appear with tooltip hot to change backgroung from black to white
thanks for your interest.
Hi Very nice work,
i was wondering on “aim” if i can change the background colour from black to white and how
thanks
thanks, sure in the accompanying css file
Nice job. For sake of uniqueness I have some suggestions:
- Elliptic, arc and polygonal spots. For instance it will be great if one can spot half sun with arc and planets with ellipses in your example. Workaround with b-radius is possible though, to make circle spots.
- Merge all rectangular spots into one, with a type and/or display property. I think those rectangular spots are confusing.
- I think those shapes are rarely used , adding them will make the editor interface cluttered with rarely used shapes. remember that i must hold balance between overly simple and overly engineered design!. also a simple workaround already exist either with ‘b-radius’ option as you mentioned or with using image spots with the latter you can practically make any shape!
- May be you have got confused with the combination of ‘on-hover’ spot and ‘active-on’ option, i am working on a suitable way to fix that. For merging spots , although spots “start” as rectangle shapes they have very different styles when viewed on image & when hovered over them
