Any chance this will ever be responsive?

I’m not planning to make this responsive soon.

In your Current Live demo when we go Last slide and than again pull round bar than its again able to left side , but in your Downloaded zip when we go to last slide and try to pull round bar to any slides than its not working , can you please guide for it so it works for us.

Just add this css rule:

.timeline-draggable {z-index:9999;}

in the plugin’s css file. At the bottom should be fine.

Is there a guide to using this somewhere? I can’t work it out. I think I’m missing the html file – It wasn’t in my zip.

Nice itmeline Can it be set to show the current month at start/load?

yeah we’re using jQuery 1.7.2..

I have other JS on the page which isn’t working correctly and was wondering if this could be the cause?

Cheers.

It’s unlikely that the other JavaScript is causing this. Are you running jquery version 1.7 or later?

Hi, I purchased this today, and noticed that the iPad issue are not solved yet. The issue with the disappearing titles – Do you have a solution for that?

This issue is on my list, it’s just that I’m a little overwhelmed with work now. Sorry about that.

Really nice script :-)

Is there a way for it to automatically scroll?

Thanx Tony

Hey,

Sorry, that feature is not built in.

Ok, thanks

hi really like the script

one small point is i and other where drawn to click on the timeline itself other than the date above

is this possible

Hi Nickys,

I’d like it to be possible on the timeline when the page loads that a ‘current date’ is selected.

On your demo, the page loads with it on 2008, but in my scenario I’d like it to load on 2010.

Also the selected state been selected in a ‘red’ color and the line behind the current date is also ‘red’ to know where we are up to in time.

I’m looking to buy a timeline script today so you prompt response would be very much appreciated.

Thanks!

I’m afraid those features are not built in.

Have a look at my other timeline scripts, they might do what you need.

Hi Nickys,

I’d like to get this plugin!

I like to use it to show steps in the project, so instead of the year, I just want to have for example number 1-8 at the top. Is this possible with the current code?

Thanks,

Kim

That’s possible, yes. The numbers on top of the timeline are just div tags and you can put whatever you want in there.

Hello, I am a newb. So this is a basic question. Could I bring this element to a word press theme? Or would that installation be tricky?

There is already a wordpress version of this plugin. Just look in my portfolio, the item at the top.

Hi Nickys thanks for your prompt replies.

Yeah I understand our functional requirements are outside the remit, we can do stuff, our coders though are more php oriented. But its not a massive issue to do, the requests as per my original questions.

I think the more important requisite for us would be to prevent users going to step 2 from step 1, until a certain function has been performed, and so on and so forth.

Apply a check of sorts, so that reverse stepping ( step 2 to step 1 is fine.

I will look deeper at your source code and compare it with what we think we want, and proceed accordingly.

Will purchase though, I am back in office later and will run an order thru.

I suppose callback events would be the go, but not sure how we could fire them

If you’re talking about a callback when you move to a certain event, there is already such a function, you can easily add your custom callback function inside.

Oh and noticed on your demo, if we use on ipad, when we slide the slider… the title above the slider disappears.

Yes, I know that. Sadly my working machine broke down and can’t fix anything, probably for another week.

Oh and one more question ..

1. can steps be controlled via next / prev links / buttons ?

2. can steps be disabled ?

1. No, but if you know what you’re doing it’s a 5 minute job to implement. 2. If by “disabled” you mean you can’t go to the step – no, there is not such functionality.

Hey Nickys , this is just what we are looking for .. almost….

Loads of questions, but anyhoo ….

1. if we set timeline to say 600px do all of the steps, automatically reposition themselves to their particular increments ?

2. are increments dictated by

  • spans
  • 3. what would the absolute possibility of say step 0 to step 1 , becoming a loader of sorts .. so step one, becomes a uploader, and the timeline 0-1 becomes a graduated fill and then upon success, the slider displays step 2.

I know its a big ask, but you are far more accomplished than I am.

Lastly, if steps are created by

  • elements, can the content be loaded via ajax, so that on page load that content isnt loaded.

    Cheers Steve

  • 1. I believe you can set the width only before the script has loaded. If you want the width to dynamically change, that will require some customization. 2. The increments are dictated purely by the total width divided by the number of events 3. First you will have to implement functionality for the slider to “jump” to a certain step. When you have that, the loading animation from step 0 to step 1 is a matter of adding a div and animating it. But we might be talking for different things here. 4. Right now it works like this – on page load the script gets the height of each content box. When you go to a certain step it resizes the container to that height, because the content is positioned absolutely in a different element. So if you change the content, the calculated height will stay the same and I can’t guarantee the results. Changing the content isn’t hard to do, but making it look good – I don’t know honestly, will have to look in the code.

Hope that answers your questions. Sounds like you will need lots of customization and that’s something that most authors around here charge for, including me. That doesn’t mean that I won’t answer questions – on the contrary – I will be happy to answer and to guide you what must be done. And if you need my services I will gladly take the job.

    Cheers

Is there a limit to how many items can be included in the timeline?

No, there’s not. The limitations are purely aesthetic, it will get ugly if you had 200 events for example :)

    Awesome scroller.

Anyway you can make the text above the circle buttons stay showing at all times?

Let me know if possible. Thanks!

I sent you a message via your profile but havent had a response. Please get back to me when you can. Thanks!

I was off for the weekend, answered your email already.

    Worked perfectly!

Thanks for your timely response. Again, awesome scrollbar.
