Hi there. I’m having issues accessing AI settings and some other stuff. I tried via your support desk, but there is no option to select AI Agent. Here’s the link to the Laravel log file I downloaded from Logs > Error.

This seems to be due to unsupported mysql version. Make sure you have at least mysql 8 installed.
Ok, thanks! One additional question: can this AI agent be used without the LiveChat addon? We don’t want to use the LiveChat addon; we’re hoping for more of an internal AI that can help our agents. For example, while replying to a ticket, they could quickly launch the AI to see the best or suggested answer, links to docs, etc. Sort of like RAG, rather than a chatbot.
It has some additional functionality like conversation summary, translating and enhancing replies etc. But it’s mostly intended for use with livechat addon currently.
We’re looking into adding functionality for help with replies, similar to what you mentioned, with a future update though.
Ok thanks, that’s great to hear. Also, it wouldn’t be bad if the AI could auto-reply to the tickets rather than a ChatBot bubble on the website. People tend to find those chat bubbles a bit annoying, as they expect the AI bot to be talking to them, so this way, you sort of hide it.
I’ll see if we can implement this with a future update as well.

How could i modify the default agent prompt?
Hi,
You can find the prompt files in “modules/ai/resources/views/prompts” folder. Be careful when editing those though, because removing placeholders or changing the structure might break some functionality for AI agent.
Hi, I really like your AI Agent & Chatbot Addon for BeDesk and I’m considering using it for my project. Before purchasing, could you please confirm the server requirements? Will it work smoothly on a regular shared hosting plan (PHP 8.2+, MySQL 8, cron jobs available), or do you recommend using a VPS/dedicated server with a continuously running worker for best performance? I just want to be sure I choose the right hosting environment for real-time chatbot responses. Thanks a lot for your help!
Hi,
BeDesk does not have any special requirements for the server, it will work on shared hosting (as long as minimum php and mysql versions are available).
For realtime responses you will need to enable websockets, but you can use pusher or ably 3rd party service credentials, that way you don’t need to enable them on the server.
The demo does not show the AI agent and chatbot addon.
How can we demo this?
