The MonsterTools work on all type of hosting but on shared hosting you will have to use third part API for several tools. All the PDF tools, Image compressor, Keywords tools and more.

Yes you can create your own tools. If you are familiar with Laravel and PHP then it will be very easy for you to understand the structure.
A new tool can be anything either use third part API or make it work with simple JS, it’s all up to you.

The API depends on the type of hosting you have, if you are using VPS or similar hosting then there are only few tools that require third part API for example HTML to PDF, keywords tool, domain authority and few others.
On shared hosting you need third party API for several tools. Almost all the PDF tools, image compressor, few others and all the mentioned tools above.
