Hello,

Is it possible to add more fields to the location description? For example, if I wanted to add a FAX number – how can I achieve that?

Hello kparks0914,

Thank you for choosing Elfsight Google Maps!

Unfortunately, adding custom fields to the location description is not supported in our plugin yet, but you can add you FAX number to Phone field after the comma.

I am using gTranslate (https://wordpress.org/plugins/gtranslate/) to translate the front-end of our website into several languages and it works great. However, when I try to translate on a page where we embed a map using your plugin there seems to be a conflict, because nothing gets translated:

Here is a link to a staging site (the map is towards the bottom): https://cryopak.turchette.com/contact/ This is an error I get:
Uncaught ReferenceError: google is not defined at googleTranslateElementInit2 ((index):600)

I have a feeling this has to do with the google maps API key and how gTranslate handles calling Google’s translate API?

I understand that plugins sometimes just don’t work together nicely, so any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

I found a solution, I added the shortcode to it’s own page with no header/footer file. Then I embedded it using an iFrame. This seems to fix the issue. It’s not ideal, but it works.

Hi! Since I’ve updated to version 2.4.2 I cannot open the widget page. Message: Oops, something went wrong – An error occurred during your request process. Please, try again.

What can I do?

It was a caching issue. Fixed. Thx

HI… does you plugin arrange locations automatically based on distance, without me clicking the location icon, or will it only list the locations based on the order that i added them in?? https://hearingaidlabs.co.za/new-map/

Hi WebB2016,

Thank you for choosing Elfsight Google Maps!

We would like to inform you that our plugin displays locations in the same order you’ve added them. However, you can easily drag and drop the locations to change this order and adjust them the way you need.

hi there, is your google search able to search by a city and a radius, to show all markers in radius of 30 km for example? and is every marker able to link by its own url?

Hello amiseo,

Thank you for your interest in Elfsight Google Maps!

Our plugin supports two types of search – by name and by location.

In the documentation it says you can modify the style of the map and other items like initial zoom and such. Where?

Sorry, I found it. Didn’t;t see it in the instructions and operates a bit different then other dashboards but works fairly well. Thanks

Hi, I wanted to know if Import/Export feature will be available soon. The first time this feature being requested was 3 years ago. The someone else asked the same thing too 2 years ago and has been answered it will be available a month’s time from the date he asked. But now I will ask again, when will it be available? I am revamping a site and this site have 35 branches.

Hello Elfsight, Hope that you are doing well in these challenging times of COVID19. I have created a map with multiple locations, but face the following 3 issues: 1. There is a default location infobox open on launch, this takes away attention from the other locations. I need them to be closed by default. 2. Any location selected, it gets centred on the map, and the infobox content above it goes out of bounds of map, thus content is not seen entirely. 3. Map is not draggable, even with the disallow dragging check box unselected.

Hello ggnmst,

Thank you for your interest in Elfsight Google Maps!

1. You need to turn the infobox off for all your locations.

2. In order to fix this you need to increase map’s height or optimize the infobox content.

3. Please message us via https://codecanyon.net/user/elfsight providing us with the direct link to your site’s page with the plugin in question. We’ll look into this issue in the shortest possible time.

Hi Elfsight Team, just reading through the comments here because we need some good working maps plugin to show about 200 locations worldwide. During the last three years you have been asked here to add an import function for your plugin. Still not implemented yet? Any info on this? Thx
