Hello, thank you for your great plugin. We bought it last week and are really happy!
Two feature requests thought which would help us: 1 having “Automatically Tax Exempt On CART” (like for the checkout) would be great 2 having the possibility to manually exempt customers in the backend on a more granular level (choosing the state).

- Product tax status set to taxable, see screenshot: https://ibb.co/MC70b5T Note: If I set product tax status to None, then no tax for all users that is not I want.

Either you can remove or reject the tax status. After than then can submit the request again.

Thanks. I see that. But it’s still a bit confusing. Users default to Pending, and then if I save their account for any reason at all (i.e. I have to change their password or something) then on the submit for approval page, the form does not appear and it just tells them their account is pending.

Sorry, my bad. I forget to publish the form field, that’s why the [wte-tax-exempt-request] not displayed. After publishing the form, it works now. By the way, The Claim tax exempt button still not showing in Checkout page. Pleas help.

From the front end, The request tax button should be always displayed on Checkout page for all tax status users, or only displayed for Reject and Pending status users? Approved users will not see the request button?

I can see the Tax Exempt button in My Account page https://ibb.co/h8xQNb9 , but does not show up in Checkout page.
Good news, The tax exempt request check box shows up in Checkout page. https://ibb.co/Jmm2WmG . I tested it by registering as an new user. It means no plugins conflict to me. By the way, the approved user still need to check the exempt check box to get tax waived. My opinion the approved user should automatically get tax waived. Please advise. Thanks in advance!

The tax exemption doesn’t work when tested from the admin site (adding order for the same customer). We can see the problem from Clicking the “Recalculate” button but the tax shows up. (https://ibb.co/ZSjV0Gh)
It works when tested from a customer frontend entry. Hope tax exempt feature also takes effect from admin site.

You can exclude tax by customers not for the specific products, if you want to exclude tax for the specific products only you can remove the tax class for the products.

Is there a way to add a file upload to the tax exempt request form so that the customer can upload a copy of their non profit paperwork?
Also what user roles can approve or reject tax exempt status?
- I have managed to insert the form fields, but if they display incorrectly, messy.
- I can’t show the tax exempt button at checkout.
- I have done a test using the form and at the end it shows the note: “Your request for tax exempt is in pending for admin approval.” In English and I had configured everything in Spanish.
- How do I accept or reject requests?
- It would be great if it allowed you to upload a photo ID to verify the status and upload the document that is 100% real and active as a company, reseller, etc.
- I have received an email notification after sending the test request. How can I insert the fields in the notification email?

Would be excellent if it allowed you to upload a photo ID for verification of status.
Does this actaully add a button some where in the users profile we can turn on and off? Or is it does only when they submit and we approve? Meaning it has to go through the form process and cannot be done manually?

The button & the form with custom fields comes with the shortcode, you can place shortcode on any page or my account page. However, admin can exempt tax for any customer without tax exempt request, but if admin want the customers to request then you can use shortcode.
