Hi I have already had several failed plugin purchases, it is super frustrating for me it does not achieve what I need
This seems to be close to what I need!
Context: I have a store running where I sell cheese and ham by weight, I need every variation (100g, 250g, 500g, 1000g) to deduct the correct amount from inventory. But when testing the demo of this plugin I see that the stock should be applied to the attribute and not to the product. Would I have to create an attribute for each product to make it work for me?
Is there any way to do it? Currently I work with a snippets that makes the discount correctly from each variation, but does not avoid overselling.
If I buy the plugin could you configure me to work for me? Or could you check the snippets and correct it so it doesn’t oversell?
Thank you very much!
Hi @mtmundarain,
It sounds like what you’re looking for is variable stock. This is something that Attribute Stock offers, but only if managing your stock at the attribute level. By this I mean you would use attributes to manage your stock inventory, and your products would only be used for the frontend content & pricing. It’s not currently possible to use Attribute Stock to update stock quantities in the product listings themselves.
In order for this to work, you would need to create an attribute stock item for each stock item you are selling (not necessarily each WooCommerce product), e.g. Cheese A, Cheese B, Ham A, Ham B, etc. How you set up your products after this is up to you, as long as they use the correct attributes.
The over-purchase prevention is actually one of the most complex parts (due to the way WooCommerce works), so it’s not something that can easily be added to the snippet you’re using. You would need to hire a developer to add it in for you properly, or you’ll likely run into a bunch of issues.
Thank you! I should then create attributes for each product in my store, is there a way to do it in bulk? Doing it manually can take a long time.
Thanks again
Bulk generating attribute stock items is planned, but unfortunately not implemented yet.
For now the best way to add many items is to create one item and then duplicate it. By opening the duplicate link in a new browser tab, you can quickly duplicate a stock item several times. This is definitely not as quick as generating in bulk, but it’s much faster than adding items one by one.
I’ll think about it. One last question: How much would it cost to develop something like this?
The bulk generating feature or a custom variable stock implementation with correct over-purchase prevention?
A couple hours of development for the former, days/weeks of development for the latter. The exact cost depends on the rates of the developer you hire.
¿Y cuál es su tarifa para desarrollar el tema de la prevención de sobrecompra?
Unfortunately we don’t offer custom development as a service.
You should try it, so apply your plugin and you will have a super-plugin! I’m going to buy it and use it while I find who develops the other part! Thank you very much! Wish me luck!
Thank you @mtmundarain. If there’s anything else we can help you with, feel free to contact us via the Support tab. Best of luck!
Hey, one pre-sale question:
Lets say I have 3 Products Product A Product B Product C
And one Product D which is combiend with Product A and B
So, now when someone his buying Product D, the plugin has to deduct the qty from Product A and B.
Is this possible?
Thank you
Yes it’s definitely possible. There are some caveats to be aware of though, depending on how your products are set up.
If you’d like me to set up an example for you on our demo site, feel free to send us some more details about your products via the Support tab.
yeah i send you a message.. this would be amazing!
Hello. Is WooCommerce Attribute Stock fully compatible with WooCommerce 4.3 ? Regards.
Hi @LDHCH. Thanks for the purchase!
We’re currently in the process of testing on WooCommerce 4.3. If we find any issues we’ll have them fixed within the next few days.
Hi again @LDHCH. You’ll be happy to know we’ve just released v1.3.6 which has been tested with WooCommerce 4.3
Hi
I have a question Can this plug-in group product sales in pack and cut stock? ex. have products (A B C) and want to group into (Group1) and have products (D E F) want to group into (Group2) and create Group1, Group1 to Attributes
After purchasing Group1 products, all Stock products will be cut stock according to Group1 purchase amount
Tnank you
Hi @weerapol,
Yes you can definitely do that. Though it’s worth noting that product stock quantities are not updated directly. Your products will simply “use” the shared attribute stock quantities instead.
Feel free to send us some details about your products via the Support tab if you’d like us to set up an example for you on our demo site.
Thank you for the quick response. I remember sending the details to Support.
Hmm we don’t seem to have an email from you. Do you remember when you sent it, and if it was from the same account?
Update: Your email just came in
There is no real use for the lite version as far as I can see, but I’ve tested my stuff on the demo environment, and it works really well. Excellent work.
Thanks very much for the feedback and purchase @diederikk! Glad to hear the full version is working well for your needs.
The lite version is definitely not as useful, but it’s great for tracking stock that’s not directly related to frontend product stock. In fact we’re using it in production on a fairly high traffic site to track a large amount of stock items that need to be re-ordered from suppliers when they get low.
It really just depends on your needs in the end. But thanks for taking the time to leave us a comment. We love hearing from our users
@MewzPlugins – Thanks for your thoughtful and quick reply. Sounds like this plugin might indeed be overkill for my site. I greatly appropriate your honesty.
No problem. I hope you manage to find another solution that works for you
Hi @bg2002,
With so many products using separate stock inventories, you would need to add an attribute stock item for every single product. Each product would also need to be assigned an attribute term to distinguish which product matches which stock item.
At the end of the day it would work, but it would take quite a bit of time to set everything up accordingly. I’m happy to help and offer some solutions to make it a bit easier to set up, but it’s worth mentioning. There’s also unfortunately no other plugin that I know of that does “variable stock” like this, or else I would probably recommend using that instead as attribute stock might be a bit overkill for this.
If you’d like me to set up an example for you on our demo site, please feel free to send me some details of your products via the support tab.
Hello, I have similar need as the faheemahmed. My shop has 100+ products with the same set of variations but each individual product would need its variations to deduct from the individual product only. From your response to faheemahmed, it looks like this is possible, but I couldn’t figure out how to do this on your demo site. Do I need to create new attributes for each product? Will this work with the variations I already have set up for my products?
Hi I’ve a presale question. I’m selling 30 different products. Each product has 5 different varitions based on their quantity. Varitions are like “Single pack, Value Pack, Jumbo Pack, Economy Pack and Ultra Saving Pack”. I want to control each product inventory from single source. So if someone buy variation “Value Pack=6 boxes” of product “A” which has 100 boxes in inventory in total should be decreased by 6 and the remaining inventory for that product should 94 boxes. I’ve tried your demo site. The only problem I think in my case is that each product variations name are same but their inventory depends on their individual product. Please let me know if there is any solution available in your plugin. Thanks
Hi @faheemahmed,
Sure, you can do this fairly easily. You just need to make a new attribute that you assign to each of your products at the product level (not used for variations). You can then use this attribute to control which products match which stock items.
If you’d like us to set up an example for you, please send a message from the Support tab so we can reply to you directly.
I sent you a direct message on support tab but still waiting for reply. Thanks
Sorry for the wait (different time zones). I’ve set up an example for you and replied to your email.
Hi, i have a lot of variation products and every variation has a stock number set. I need delete any variation stock number after i install your plugin or it will overwrite them? Thanks
Hi @Pixolab,
Attribute stock works independently of product stock, so yes if you want to only use attribute stock INSTEAD of product stock, then you ideally would want to disable stock management on all of your products.
To quickly do this on all of your products, I’d recommend using a free bulk editor like this one: https://wordpress.org/plugins/pw-bulk-edit/
Excellent plugin!
This is an awesome plugin! I would recommend it to everyone. It is so well think and easy to use, the paid version is not expensive at all and it is a game changer. I am able to manage my stocks without having to use an external stock management software. You can go for it!
Thank you for your awesome feedback @jeremy38540, and of course for the purchase. We’re very glad to hear our plugin is working well for you!
Hello how are you doing? I have a question … I sell ice cream, which has two formats: 1 liter and half a liter.
create the attributes: flavor 1 liter and within this agreement all the flavors and add the stock to your side.
I did the same with half a liter.
then create a product called: 1 liter ice cream pot and attributed the flavor of 1 liter
my question is … I made a purchase but this does not lower the stock from the attribute (flavor)
Hi @elkoteluigi
Thank you for purchasing our plugin. I’ve replied to your support email so we can get this sorted out for you.
Question: is it possible to manage backorders too? I sell stock and backorders. Can I manage variation stock for products in stock and backorders (they are limited: I set up the number of backorders permitted with a plugin)
Hi @MelanieDewart!
Our plugin internally limits a product’s stock to the lowest available attribute, so it works with backorders and should theoretically work with any other plugin, as long as that plugin operates on product stock in the correct way (according to WooCommerce).
There is of course a chance of incompatibilities between the two plugins. If it’s something we can fix in our plugin we are happy to do so, otherwise we will approve a refund for your purchase (as per the Envato refund policy).
I’m so impressed! The plugin manage the backorders too… I set up the stock per attribute and when someone buy a product that is not in stock but backorders permitted, it decreases the stock and prevent to buy more than permitted… PERFECT!
Thank you for reporting back and for the purchase!
I’m very glad to hear it’s working well alongside your backorder plugin.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out again if there’s anything else you need.
Just a question: if we can set up how much attribute stock is reduced per purchase (decimal values), would it be possible to set up reduction of stock per product? I sell handmade clothes, the attribute is the fabrics. If 1 item for baby is sold, that would reduce by 0.5 but when a adult item is sold that would reduce by 1… ?
Unfortunately product specific matching isn’t currently supported, but you’re not the first to request it. We’re looking at adding functionality for this very soon.
Would you mind sending us a message via the Support tab above so that we can get some more information from you about your specific use case?
Do you have a demo
Hi @yiguangfeng. We do not have a demo set up yet, but you can install the lite version from the WordPress plugin directory if you’d like to test it before buying.
The stripped-down version didn’t seem to have any effect. I set up half a day and couldn’t add or subtract inventory at all. It didn’t have any effect
Is the stripped-down version just advertising? Not working properly?
The lite version is fully functional except that it does not prevent purchasing when out of stock. Please email us at help@mewz.dev so that we can assist you with your particular use case.
bought it … Good Luck With Sale!
Thank you @NineSixOne! I hope you find it useful
