Hello, our plugin compatible with latest WP version. WordPress show this for all plugins, author must update this info himself in plugin update. Plugin does not need any updates. We add new functions only for PRO version, free version support latest WP version and will not be updated with new features.

This plugins work with any theme that does not changed default WooCommerce widget HTML layout. Also make sure you disabled “show quantity in categories” option in widget settings.
HI! Have just purchased Expandable categories and downloaded the zip-file. However when I try to put the unzipped content in WP-pluginsfolder I still havent the pro-version only the light-version! Whats the procedure for installing???
You need to delete free version first and then install pro version.
Presale Question: Right now, one of my biggest issues is that the category widget on my shop sidebar displays only on the main shop page. When a visitor clicks a category, the category page (ex: office category page) does not display the sidebar with the category widget. Will this plugin fix that issue for me so that the categories are displayed on every single shop page, from main shop to category page to single product page?
Your issue related to your theme. Our plugin just change default WooCommerce widget behavior.

Just purchased, thank you. Question – Parent category vs. children… is there a way I can make the parent a non-link/placeholder? Meaning – if there are sub categories/childern – I want to force the accordion to open and have the viewer select a choice – NOT – have them click on the parent and then go to that parent category page. I have attached a screenshot further describing my need.

You should disable this in WooCommerce templates and files (ask theme developer or woocommerce for help).

Our plugin does not add any widget. It just change default WooCommerce Categories widget behavior. All default categories widget features will work the same as before.

Your video does not have any relations to WooCommerce categories widget and even does not show it. WooCommerce categories widget is RIGHT/LEFT sidebar widget where you see list of categories. This is not a categories blocks with images in the content like in your video. Check our plugin demo site sidebar with expandable menu – this is what our plugin do.

Hi guys, looks like a very clever tool! Just tried your demo site on an iPad, and it simply reloaded the entire page when clicking one of the arrows to expand the category. Any idea why?

Preview site is just a demo with some free theme and our plugin. Maybe this is this theme issue. You need to check our plugin with your own theme.

Our plugin will expand closing category if you go inside any subcategory inside it, for example http://wp-plugins.dedalx.com/woocommerce-categories/product-category/clothing/t-shirts/black/ . Expanding category before going inside it is not a correct way.
For me it’s logical to show deeper options… If I see t-shirt, I would like to see those options of black and white. I didn’t ask you if my request was a good idea for you or not… I have asked you it was possible.
Our plugin created to HIDE deeper options. WooCommerce already show all deeper options expanded without our plugin. Our plugin created to hide all categories (not to show). If you want to show all categories you does not need any plugin.
You may consider my bad idea as a feature request. You may be surprised by other people who would appreciate that same feature. WooCommerce is expanding everything and that’s not what I am looking for. I am just looking to go from that Category the viewer is navigating and deeper.

For Product Categories, can the menu always stay expanded, actually open already expanded when entering the site?
I don’t understand your question. If you want to have all menus expanded you does not need any plugin (woocommerce show all categories expanded by default). This plugin will open top level categories automatically if you visit some category inside (deep level), but it can’t remember all previous categories that you opened before.
An example is a Products Category list that has subcategories. When you enter the site, all product subcategories are closed. I’m looking for a way to keep them all open.
Of course all categories closed when you enter your site, this is main feature of this plugin – keep your categories closed and give users ability to open it. By default woocommerce show all your categories opened and you don’t need this plugin.
I’m sorry but I must not be explaining correctly. I am using the Flatsome theme (see http://flatsome.uxthemes.com/product/lucy-slim-jeans-noisy-may/?left_product), if you look at the left sidebar categories, women has sub-categories underneath and they are not expanded until you click the Women category, click Women to see what I mean. Men has subcategories too. I would like these all open all the time.
I think I understand you now. This is related to your theme and can’t be fixed by any plugin. Flatsome theme does not load subcategories until you go to root category in menu (they changed default woocommerce widget behaviour)..

For theme like you show (and many other woocommerce themes) you can add this custom CSS to get subcategories opened: .widget_product_categories ul ul { display: block !important; }

Hi, I think it similar, but our plugin more simple and in this case more faster (it does not load additional resources, css/js files, images, shortcodes, etc like your plugin). If you don’t need additional features that have your plugin and need just expandable categories our plugin is better (it will not load your server and your site will be much faster).
