Ah !! good idea! this very well made, love it!
Thank you, tavolucas. Glad you liked it.
Sound good but nothing on the live demo page.
Thank you for browsing the plugin. As I have mentioned in the item details page, please check it on mobile, or resize browser window to around 700px width to see the panel. The panel is intended for mobile view
Okay, I have enabled all demos for desktop version too. You can check now.
Thanks to make it working on desktop. I recommend you add more style, more icons for it
More icons means, for the toggle button?
more color please, i see the menu have only white color.
Thank you for browsing the plugin. I will try and add that option.
Why this plugin do not work on my site?
Please help me check what is wrong.
Please check your email.
Is there a way to only show this on one page vs the entire site. Thanks
That feature is not available right now but I am planning to add it in future updates. Users can select on which pages to show the panel via plugin settings.
Hey there! Is it possible to use this menu only on the mobile view? so that the normal sidebar remains on desktop?
Yes that is possible. You can set viewport width inside plugin settings. See screen shot. For example, if you set the width to 480px, the panel will show only on devices which have 480px screen or below. On live demo I have set this to larger size. so that visitors can see the panel on desktop too.
I’m wondering if there is a way to enable the widget to be open upon entering the page, forcing the user to close it, which would teach the user how to access the menu.
Yes that is possible with some CSS tweak. If you purchase the plugin and need help, I can assist in this.
Hi! I’ve purchased this, and it is not showing up on my website.
Thank you for purchasing the plugin. Did you set up appropriate settings inside Settings > xPanel? It will be required to choose a sidebar or convert existing one. In latter case it will also require providing a container ID or class name in settings. If these doesn’t work, please send me your site URL and login details at xconsau[at]gmail[dot]com. I will set it up.
If I use this for mobile only (following the viewport width), will this display the sidebar associated only with that page? ie, I have some pages that have NO sidebar, and others that have different sidebars (based on page content). It will honor the pages’ sidebar, correct?
Also Q #2: Have sidebar set to sticky on scroll in larger than mobile width. Shouldn’t be any issue with that interfering with mobile display of xPannel??
Thank you for browsing the plugin.
1. If you choose to convert existing sidebar into side panel from Plugin settings, pages with no sidebar will not show panel. But if you choose to register new sidebar exclusively for the sidepanel, it will show on all pages (whether they have sidebar or not).
2. It shall not have any issue, as the sticky scroll will be only for desktop version. So you can match the viewport width and set it same for the xpanel too. For example, if your sticky scroll applies for width greater than 768px, you can provide the same in xpanel plugin settings too. That will prevent sticky scroll in side panel.
Right now I am working on an update in which you can disable side panel for selected pages, posts or WooCommerce shop archives. If you can wait a couple of days, I can confirm if this feature is successfully implemented or not.
Can’t see any sliding panel whatsoever. Sidebar just behaves as if plugin isn’t even there (at any viewport width I adjust the desktop browser too. Also confirmed nothing on phone.) Tried turning off ALL plug-ins and reverting to 2016 basic theme. Nothing. Any suggestions?
Also tried deleting plug-in and reinstalling. Still nothing.
Thank you for purchasing the plugin. Did you configured sidebar inside Settings > xPanel. It will be required to choose either existing sidebar or register a new one. In latter case, you will also need to place some widgets inside the newly registered xPanel sidebar.
If you have chosen to convert existing sidebar into side panel, make sure to provide an ID or classname selector inside plugin settings. If this doesn’t work, please send me your site URL and login details at xconsau[at]gmail[dot]com.
I tried existing sidebars. I tried registering a new one in xPanel settings. I tried creating a new one by hand. I tried turning off all plug-ins. I tried re-installing xPanel (But none of the other plug-ins) I tried removing my theme for one of the default ones. Nothing… until about the third time I stripped the site down to basics… then it appeared. I slowly added back plug-ins a few at a time and confirmed functionality. Finally got everything turned back on and theme back in place (back to the state when I started), and it was functional.
Don’t think it was a plug-in conflict, as I have exactly the same set enabled now. It wasn’t my theme. Don’t know why it didn’t work the first two times I stripped the site. (Only difference was I didn’t disable/enable them all at the same time.)
But it works now, and works as advertised. No problem with sticky sidebar. Only some styling issues from the theme, but CSS fixed that.
Have both this tab and a collapsable menu (from theme) on mobile. Unfortunately, the tab sits on top of the menu when it is expanded. I need to ensure the tab sits at a layer below the menu (The tab should’t be accessed anyway when menu is expanded, but right now it is covering up some of the links.)
I tried targeting some of the divs, but wasn’t working. Do you have guidance on targeting just the tab so it isn’t the highest z-item on the page?
Can I have your site URL please. I will check and suggest appropriate CSS. Or you can add the following rules inside theme’s style.css file:
/* Sliding panel */
/* Toggle button at bottom */
Increase z-index value as per requirement.
Thank you! Most helpful (and saved a bit of hunting on my end). Two small issues I noticed and the overlay mask had to be placed under the sliding panel, and the sliding panel itself had to be placed higher than the sticky menu. So two more changes:
Yes that would be the correct CSS. I hope it is working correctly.
Hi, why is the Sidebar is not working on my site?
Thank you for purchasing the plugin. Kindly check if appropriate sidebar is assigned inside plugin settings. You need to either choose from existing sidebars, and provide a container selector, or assign new one using plugin setting. If this doesn’t work, kindly send me your site login and URL at xconsau[at]gmail[dot]com. I will set it up.
The sidebar doesn’t show, can you help me? I followed your documentation.
Thank you for the purchase and feedback. Kindly make sure you have provided the sidebar container selector inside Settings > xPanel > General > Sidebar container selector. If teh selector is provided and it is still not working, please send me your site URL and login details at xconsau[at]gmail[dot]com. I will set it up.
I just sent the email, thank you mate!
The issue has been resolved. The sidebar container selector was wrong, which I have corrected inside plugin options.
Hey guys, you are the best ones here. Left right now a 5 stars feedback. Thank you
Thanks very much for the feedback and rating. I’m glad I could resolve the issue on time.
Make the xpanel below the mobile switcher
Can I have your site URL please. I will check and suggest appropriate CSS.
Just bought your plugin. It’s the perfect solution for what i need but when i tried to make it work i just can’t. I Followed the documentation did everything but it seems i didn’t do something right.
Thank you for purchasing the plugin. Kindly send me your site URL and login at xconsau[at]gmail[dot]com. I will check and set it up.
For example #8 on your demo page, the sidebar doesn’t convert into a sliding panel, it still displays on the bottom of the page when viewing on mobile.
Thank you for browsing the plugin, and also for reporting broken link. The correct link is this one. Kindly check by clearing all browser caches.
Thanks for the fast reply.
The theme I used previously has a built-in mobile sidebar feature (when a page is being viewed on small screen, it automatically convert the sidebar widget into a slide out panel). However, I recently changed to another theme, and the current theme doesn’t have this feature, so I am looking for a plugin to do this.
the above link you provide has the sidebar widget content in the slideout panel when viewing on small screen, but when viewing on larger screen size like desktop, the panel position does not stay in the correct place.
I noticed you set in the css @media only screen and (min-width: 56.875em), I was wondering if I can set the plugin to automatically display the sidebar “normally” on large screen and display the sidebar as a slide out panel on small screen (I use chrome in different size to check the plugin behavior)?
To be more clarify, here is a mobile slidebar example from the theme I used before, http://blaszok.mpcthemes.net/default/product/leather-jacket/
The panel displays correctly in desktop too. (Kindly clear browser caches to see the change, as there was a small CSS addition on live demo).
You can set viewport width inside plugin settings. i.e. if you set 480, then the panel will be converted to sliding sidebar only for mobile devices. On desktops it will show in normal way. On live demo, I have set this width larger to show on desktop too.
Themes also have their own styling on sidebar and widgets. In some cases, it requires to override those styles by adding some extra CSS. If there arises any such issue, I will help with the CSS.
I will try it first:D
Thank you for purchasing. Try it and feel free to email me at xconsau[at]gmail[dot]com if you find any difficulty in setting up the panel.
Do you have video for easier understand how it work? My theme had sidebar on right. Can i use this plugin to create sidebar on left. and still keep my theme sidebar on right. It mean that i will have defaul theme right sidebar + left sidebar which work similar menu, only appear when click on icon on right?
I mean: I want to use this plugin as EXTRA slider sidebar without make me lost theme menu + theme sidebar
Thank you for browsing the plugin. Yes you can keep existing sidebar and add an extra sidebar as sliding panel on left or right side. I have created a small video which shows creating an extra sidebar as side panel, and then shows converting an existing sidebar as side panel. I hope you will get some idea.
Really nice and very clear how plugin work. Thanks. But is it only allow create the only 1 widget xpanel? Can not have 2 or 3? And also can not change icon ?
Thank you, Julia. Yes, currently it only supports one widget area and one panel. You can not have different panels per page. But in that one widget area you can place as many widgets as you want.
In order to have different widgets per page, you can use the Widget Logic plugin which allows conditional loading of widgets. It works nice with xPanel.
Icon can be changed with some CSS if required. I will help with that.
Thank you, please consider for your sale better allow user create multiple panel slider, make roller slim for beauty and allow user choose icon. some another can do this. Best sale to you.
Thank you for feedback.
