I found jobs site http://www.jobsforyour.com , Did this site use WP job Hunter?

Hello,

However, the site you mentioned using very similar methods like WP Job Hunter, it doesn’t seems to be a WordPress website.

If it even using it, then the code has been highly customized since I found several difference. eg.: Company details on the job pages.

Hi Pantherius,

A pre-buy question.

I have a working job site with local jobs (jobs posted by companies by manually entering them in). I want to add job listings from Indeed to fill up with more jobs.

E.g. when some fills in the search module on my site (www.graduateships.com) I want it to display both the manually entered jobs and the jobs from Indeed that fits the requirement (Industry and location). So showing a mix of indeed job ads and manually entered jobs.

Do you know if that is possible with your plugin?

You’re welcome!

Sure, with code customization anything could be achieved.

got it – and without code customisation would it be possible just by using your plugin?

Thanks :)

If you would like to display the jobs separately, from your existing jobs (different page/post) then yes, you can simply use it.

Hi,

We’ve moved the site over so it is now live and the jobs aren’t displaying, the error message we are seeing is ‘WP Job Hunter: No matches” this was working before and there are live jobs on the indeed account.

After testing it seems as the plugin is only showing up sponsored jobs from indeed, how can we fix this?

thanks

The content of the Indeed API feed controlled by the Indeed company. I’m not sure all of their jobs that you can see on their website are available by the API as well.

The WP Job Hunter just a “bridge” between your website and the Indeed API, therefore I can’t say anything about the content you get via the Indeed API.

Unfortunately, I’m still didn’t get the shortcode you exactly using.

Pantherius

Thanks for sorting this out for us. Excellent plugin and great support

You’re very welcome and thanks for the kind words!

hi there i have presales question 1) can this support high traffic?

2) if i want to limit the job search to ONE state in USA say OHIO, can this plugin automatically ONLY show jobs in OHIO only/?

3) if a user clicks on aay a job title ‘accounting’ can this ONLY bring OHIO location jobs? (without the user putting OHIO in the location box or specifically haviing to search for OHIO jobs

4) this plugin sold in envato will be responsive? (my theme where i will install this will be responsive)

5) can i BACKFILL jobs for my site with ohio jobs before i launch the site? or install the plugin and wait for a few days / week to get jobs filled?

6() is the jobs pulled automatically or cron job or?

7) can an affiliate make money with indeed, simplyhired and carrer etc doing this?

thanks Serendipity

Yes, it’s true. The plugin definitely built for this purpose.

ok one final question before buying. can i do the above per job title/city/country and get the jobs from both indeed AND simply hired in ONE page? or not feasible? almost like aggregating the jobs from different sources for the SAME job title ‘php developer’ / new york /usa in one page. from more than one source

However, you can display them under each other with different shortcodes, but it is not possible to mix them as one result.

Can the plugin call in the jobs from only ONE company?

Yes, find a job with a specific company example here.

The location still required.

hi there i bought the plugin and followed instructions but the page looks messy. please see http://theadvicehub.org.uk/cvv/. also how do i set up the cron job or alternatives. thanks

Hello,

The plugin using the theme’s style to display the job content. Just checked your website here: Manager Jobs in Miami

This is your theme’s default view in case the entries doesn’t provide images. You may check it with any different theme or the template can be completely customized in the wpjobhunter/templates/jobs_template_indeed.php

However, the jobs can be recorded in your website’s database, some of the job service providers doesn’t allow this kind of caching. If you even would like to do, please check the Auto-Update section in the documentation here.

Setting up Cron is an advanced feature, that needs some knowledge with hosting. Since there are thousands of hosting panels, therefore I can’t provide you a step-by-step guide how to set up the CRON on your hosting. Please contact with your hosting company or use the alternative solutions, that has been mentioned in the documentation above.

hi there thanks for getting back to me it’s clear and clean when you search miami but when you use london or northhampton it is distorted see link https://postimg.org/image/4kqhppccz/ can you advise the alternatve for cron because i dont understand the step you have written please break it down for me please because i have no CODING knowledge thanks

You’re welcome!

The issue still related with your theme. I’m tried it with London and Northampton and didn’t see any issue, like on your screenshot.

Please contact with your hosting company if you have difficulties with setting up Cron, because I don’t know your hosting configuration.

hi.. would you like explain about option integrate with jobroll theme.. i cant find any doc refer to it?

Hello,

However, this option still available, it is no longer supported. It might works well, that means the Auto-Posted jobs are automatically added to the theme’s job post type. Since the Auto-Post jobs feature doesn’t supported by the most of the service providers (job caching is mostly not allowed), therefore this feature will be deprecated.

Hello, I would like to know about the plugin is compatible with themes for sale on ThemeForest, which suggested the theme to match this? I want to create a business portal where users and companies posting their jobs, but I also want to earn with affiliations,

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

However, the plugin can be used with any theme, it won’t use the theme features since it has been developed by different authors.

That means, the jobs coming from the plugin will be separated from the jobs that coming from the theme. If the theme offers categories, then it is not possible to organize the jobs from the plugin into the theme’s categories.

Hi, Does this job feed provide auto post to facebook group?

Hello,

No, it is not a feature at the moment.

Regards,
Pantherius

That’s too bad. Is there a way to achieve this by combining it with another plugin?

Certainly, it can be achieved by code customization. Alternatively, if you use it with Auto-Post, then you may use any 3rd party plugin to share the job posts on Facebook automatically.

Pantherius

Will this work with any theme? I got this theme http://www.sydneyparttimejobs.com.au/

Hello,

However, it is work with any theme, it won’t use the theme features, like job categories, etc.

Important update to Indeed’s publisher terms

“Dear publisher,

We wanted to inform you that Indeed has recently updated its terms of service relating to its publisher program. Effective March 3rd, for Publishers new to Indeed, Indeed will no longer offer the following affiliate products: 1) job search boxes, and 2) text links, both of which allow publishers to refer traffic directly to Indeed. As of April 1st we will no longer compensate Publishers currently using the aforementioned publisher products as well as those displaying Indeed organic jobs via the API or Jobroll. Indeed will continue to work with publishers who have separately been approved for sponsored jobs using our job search api.”

How will this affect your plugin? Will it still works?

Hello,

The plugin using the official Indeed API. Regarding to the information above, the official API doesn’t changed.

Pantherius
