Been using this plugin and it’s great. I have a huge glossary list so it had me thinking… do you plan on adding a search box feature that allows one to quickly find a term? This would be SO awesome!

Hi there, thanks for purchasing my plugin.

I am already thinking about adding a search filter in glossary list but not sure when will it be live as I am too busy now a days in providing support to my clients. As soon as I get free for few days I will start work on this feature.

Thanks, WP Instinct Team

Hello.

I couldn’t find detailed documentation. I don’t know what is wrong but i can’t show alphabet view in the page. can you please help me. https://pavlovolimon.ru/wiki/ I couldn’t achieve following things: showing alphabet, giving editor access right editing history and rollback.

Hi there, thanks for purchasing my plugin.

You can find plugin documentation in package file you download from CodeCanyon. There is a User Guide menu too in admin for detailed instructions.

Regarding glossary terms listing, make sure that you don’t enable Glossary Archive option from plugin’s settings panel. If it still doesn’t work for you then please email me your website FTP and Admin access on wpinstinct@gmail.com so that I can provide you proper help.

thanks for reply. it worked now.

I have existing posts in my blog page, i want to link those posts with wiki page so it can be filter based on the alphabetical order. is it possible? if so how can I link the glossary with existing posts?

An other question, can I use the glossary page like wikipedia? giving multiple access right for users like editor, moderator etc. and show the history of the editing and roll back to previous edit etc.

1. You can use post_type parameter within shortcode so it looks like:
[wpg_list post_type="post"]

2. No, it doesn’t come with wikipedia like options.

Case-sensitive, yay! Can this plugin also:

(a) handle apostrophes in the terms? e.g. BUYER is different from Buyer’s Broker which is different from Buyer’s Agent, etc.

(b) link abbreviations and synonyms to terms. e.g. Contract is the same as contract is the same as CONTRACT all of which are different from CONTRACT TO BUY AND SELL REAL ESTATE (RESIDENTIAL) which is abbreviated CBS ?

OK, I found I can successfully use a post type extender to do what I want to do. Yay!

Thanks so much for this great plugin, BTW. :0)

Great! Let me know if you need my assistance anywhere else regarding my plugin functionality.

Also leave 5 star ratings if you like my plugin and support. Thank you!

Thanks for 5 star ratings!

Hi there,

I’m an early adopter of your plugin and I’m really satisfied of it. But I have a little feature request : can you maybe add 2-3 lines of code in order to give us the possibility to “Linkify term each X occurencies”.

I’m using your plugin with the “Linkify term limit’ set on 1. But on long article, it will be nice to linkify again a term after each X occurencies. If set on 5, then your plugin should be able to linkify the first occurencie of this term, the 6th (1+5), the 11th (1+5+5) etc.

Do you think it’s possible?

Writing this post, I’m thinking of another feature like that, an alternative which provide the same kind of feature but a bit different : “linkify term after each X words”. By this way, we would been able to linkify terms periodically during the user’s reading, without linkifying all the terms.

What do you think of it? This will greatly improve the user’s experience imo.

Hi there,

Thanks for purchasing my plugin. I would be more than happy to help you. I am understand your concern very well but not sure if its possible or not. I will surely think about working on this in feature updates but in case if you need it now then please email me your website details with me and I will start work on your server directly.

You can email me your website FTP and Admin details at wpinstinct@gmail.com.

Hi, is there a way to customize the layout of the glossary post/page? I’d like to choose a custom sidebar at the very least. I was also hoping to use my Visual Composer to design the page more nicely but I’m not seeing the editor options.

Hi there,

Thanks for purchasing my plugin. I would be happy to help you. Please tell me if you are trying to change the layout of glossary details page or glossary index page? If its about glossary details page, then it should be your theme which should allow Visual Composer for custom post types too. If you are good with WordPress theme coding standards then you can easily change its layout by creating a new file in theme called single-glossary.php.

Email me your website FTP and Admin details on wpinstinct@gmail.com if you want me to help you on this.

Hello!

Presale question: I have installed “crack” version of your plugin to test it. Now I’m satisfied, so I’ll buy it.

But before, in the future update, it will be possible to have a custom “back to” link? I explain. Now, if I add back to index link, I come back to “full” index, with all categories. But, I have 4 categories (insert into 4 different pages). If I click on the “back to index” in the Cat C, I come back in the Cat A. So, it’s not very usefull.

Thank you so much

Damien

Hi there,

Thanks for showing interest in my plguin. I would be happy to help you. Regarding custom back link, plugin comes with few custom filter hooks by which one can easily update it by placing a small bit of code in current theme’s functions.php file. Once you purchase this plugin and share website FTP and Admin details with me then I can help you for sure.

Thanks, WP Instinct Team
