Where can I find my username and purchase code?

For the purpose of verification, please use your Envato-account username. You can follow these instructions to obtain your purchase code.

How can I create a welcome message like in the demo-system?

This is not supported out-of-the-box as it is included for demonstration purposes only. However, you can easily create this yourself by following these guidelines:

1. Open “wp-content/plugins/visitorchat/lib/Discussion.php” and look for the method “afterSave” around line 106

2. Look for this code:
            if (CEVC::i()->isDemo)
            {
                $firstMessage = str_replace('{Username}', $this->field('username'), 'Hello {Username}, thanks for giving VisitorChat a try. Don\'t forget to give the admin-dashboard a try by opening the following page in a new tab: http://visitorchat-wordpress.clientengage.com/wp-admin/ ');
                CEVC::i()->Message->save(array(
                    'message' => $firstMessage,
                    'user_id' => 1,
                    'discussion_id' => $this->id
                ));
            }
3. Change it to the following and edit it to suit your needs (or simply remove the IF-block around it):
$firstMessage = str_replace('{Username}', $this->field('username'), 'Hello {Username}, thanks for contacting us! How can I help?');
CEVC::i()->Message->save(array(
    'message' => $firstMessage,
    'user_id' => 1,
    'discussion_id' => $this->id
));

Finally, make sure you change the “1” to the user id of your administrator user.

After activating VisitorChat, the menu-item of one of my other plugins disappears. What can I do?

This is because the other plugin and VisitorChat have claimed the same menu position. However, it can easily be fixed:

Please open “wp-content/plugins/visitorchat/visitorchat.php”. Then go to line 1868 and change the number “100” to “167” or similar.

I keep missing the notification in the Windows tray. How can I make it appear longer?

The duration of how long the Windows notification is shown is determined by the operating system.

You can change this by following this guide.
