I think you mean Standalone version. The next major update will work everywhere including HTML, PHP and WordPress websites.

LC uses Google Firebase for all chat transmissions, managing operators online/offline statuses and user authentication. We’ve moved to Firebase real-time database from AJAX in 2015 (you could store your chat data into your own server, but not anymore).
Although Live Chat console does a lot of things, you can also use Firebase own admin console for more advanced actions like exporting chat data as JSON, disabling/deleting users, etc…
Why does LC plugin use Firebase?

Although your visitors can initiate chat and talk with operators through their mobile phones, operators must use desktop browser (PC or Mac) to join chat and answer visitors.

ok thank you the information, with respect to your product, I currently want it for a page that is only in html5, my question is as follows.
Can I install it in a subdomain for example chat.domain.com and in my domain.com just embed it?
Do you have any scrip generator to be able to embed it in my domain.com?
Another question to keep in mind, is that it mentions that this version can be installed in several domains, in fact I have other sites that have installed wordpress which I can install, that is why I want to know before copying it, as I mentioned before I am interested mainly for a site which is not installed wordpress.

Although you can install Live Chat Unlimited on any domain and subdomain, each website should have own chat console. So each subdomains will require a WordPress installation.
However, In the next major update, you will be able to run the plugin in HTML and PHP pages with a simple script (by copy/pasting). So you can manage multiple websites from 1 chat console.

Good reading the comments I read about an update of the LC3 before May, we are in June. Do you have an estimated date? Some functions we needed we saw that are included in that version and not in the current one.

hi, if i bought unlimited license, and installed it in 5 domains, can I login in one place to answer those 5 domains incoming chat? or I need to login each domain and reply each one?

Unfortunately, it isn’t possible right now. Each domain should have its own chat console.
Although there is a trick to do that, we usually don’t suggest it (like setup the same database for all your 5 domains). It is because your chats will be on the same list and there will be 100 simultaneously user connection limit for all your domains instead of each domain has this feature separately.

Hi! I wanted to make a suggestion. With the chat icon circle in the bottom right corner maybe the chat system starts talking to the person even before someone initiates. Maybe with a little pop up message that says “Have questions? We would love to help.”. I wasn’t sure if you already had this function or not but I have seen websites with this function and it definitely captures attention.

reason why user can select person is I can use this for matching platform for enquiries.
For example, I want to create matching or searching directory platform, I can use chat for interview one of lister not admin, like Language teacher, builders, chefs, or so on, and also admin manage who can be appear on selections.

two questions before buying:
1.) i have a customer who has different departments. can i solve this with this chatplugin? so maybe something like a pre-question: “Who do you want to talk to?”
2.) can i also give an answer via E-Mail and it appears inside the chat? (cause my customer isn’t familiar with doing this stuff inside a “backend”...
Departments feature isn’t supported yet in LC 2.0 yet. However, it is in our developer notes already.
Replying emails directly from chat console requires very different technology. That’s why we’re moving common SaaS console in the next major update to achieve complicated and advanced features like this.
For now, you can only reply offline messages (sent through contact form) from your own CRM like Helpscout. Because, LC send offline messages to your email. So you can keep continue talk your visitors.
The plugin has proactive invitation function?
LC 2.0 has no auto-message feature yet which is planning for the next major update. It is expected before new year.
