nice! i’ll buy this one…

Thanks! I hope you enjoy it and find it easy to use.

Thanks, Danyo

Hi, Just try this on your demo: add item to cart, refresh page, add same item. No message is received, 2 items in cart?

Hi,

This is down to woocommerce. It adds a variable to your url structure which is: ?added-to-cart

If you refresh the page with this still in the url, it will add the product to the cart again.

I hope this helps?

Thanks, Danyo

Activated but not working -a llowing me to add same product over and over – thoughts? Thanks!

Hi,

It doesn’t prevent adding the product again. It simply shows a message when you go back onto that product, saying that it’s already in your cart.

I hope this helps?

Thanks, Danyo

Looks great but I really would love if you can add the function to show also a message if a user already bought a product in a former order. In that case I would buy it in a second…

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion, i will look into this!

Thanks, Danyo

Hello, is there any way to prevent the user from adding the product again?

Hi,

Not currently but i could look into adding this option in.

Danyo

Hi, i download the plugin but the message doesn’t appear, check my woocommerce installation:

This is the cart page http://www.marchettidesign.net/shop/cart/ And this is the link to add products in the cart http://www.marchettidesign.net/shop/cart/?add-to-cart=12

maybe it’s my error.. tnx for support, Andrea.

Hi,

The message will display on the actual product page and not the shop page. You can see it here: http://www.marchettidesign.net/shop/product/fullby-premium-theme/

There seems to be a bug with this plugin.

When we add a product to an empty cart (any product) there are two messages—“product has been added to the cart” (default message) AND “this item is already in your cart” (this plugin message).

There’s supposed to be no “already in cart” message when the product is added to cart for the first time.

Core problem appears to be that youre testing: isset($_REQUEST['added-to-cart']) When I check $_REQUEST in the test case above, it has a value in [‘add-to-cart’]. So I think you need to check for that value, possibly in addition to this (possibly now deprecated?) value.

A more precise check would be to add this test to your FOREACH loop where you get product id and qty:

// detect if current product just added if (isset ($_REQUEST['add-to-cart']) && ($id == strval($_REQUEST['add-to-cart'])) ) $found = true;

And then modify your test later on so that no “alredy in cart” message appears if $found is true.

Ive made the above changes and it works correctly on my site now.

In the interest of future upgrades not overwriting my fixes though, perhaps you can apply the same fix to your master. If necessary I can send you my code, but i’d need a way to contact you (and your site has absolutely no means to do so, including a broken registration system that ensures no one can reach you other than via this form).

Hi,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Can you let me know which version of WordPress and WooCommerce you are using please? It would be great to test this, as i have not had any issues in thee past, and has not been mentioned by anyone else.

Let me know,

Thanks, Danyo

I am always using the latest version of everything. Woocommerce and worrpress are the latest version as of yesterday. Just make sure your system is current and you will have the same setup as mine.

Hi,

That is probably the issue then. This plugin has only been currently tested upto WordPress 3.6. I will work on this and get it tested for 3.9.

Danyo

Hello,

Is this compatible with Wordpress 3.9?

and WooCommerce 2.1+

Hi,

I have tested and all seems to be ok!

Thanks, Danyo

are you going to update this in a near future or is this plugin abandoned?

Hi,

Plugin is upto date as far as im aware. Are you experiencing issues?

Thanks, Danyo

Are there options to change the banner? even just a flat colored box with an alert icon would be nice.

If so I’m sold!

Just purchased the plugin BEFORE detecting last update was almost two years ago and it is only secured up to WP3.6. Does that mean the plugin is abandoned? Even if it works still for now it leaves a good chance it would cause problems with newer plugins and/or future WP udates. I am not sure if I will install it.

Hi,

No updates are required for this plugin at the moment and is still supported!

Are you having issues?

Thanks!

Hello Danyo, i buy your product, it did not work as demo, can you help me fix or can i get refund? Problem: I cliked product which already in cart -> did not have any notice that product already in Cart --> But when i add to cart again -> it show up my website notification that product successfull added to cart / and/ the second line is product already in cart. It ready bad experience. I think it should work like demo. Click to any product already in Cart -> Then that product must have notice that this product already in Cart—>NOT come out when i added again.
