Hi,

I followed the steps in the video tutorial but am having two big problems.

1. The image size while sized to 321×214 is huge, not showing the entire image.

2. I’m getting this failure code when loading the Gift Card Page: Notice: The “woocommerce_get_price” hook uses out of date data structures and is deprecated since version 3.0.8! Hi, just want to ask if this use case will work with your plugin: we have a woocommerce store for our online shop, we use wcpos for our stores and we have a restaurant which has another cash desk. Gift cards can be redeemed everywhere in our company. So can we use the plugin as a Gift Card management system? Can an employee in the restaurant set a Gift Card as redeemed via the backend without selling a woocommerce product? Thanks for your reply, David

Thank you for the question. We will explain more detail about gift card. With gift card, you only use it to pay a part of your total paid amount. You can use our plugin to create a gift card for customers in the backend and don’t have to sell any woocommerce product, yet.

The Gift Card Pro plugin is allowing the customer to submit coupon codes twice. I disable Gift Card Pro and coupons work as expected. It’s odd behavior and finally was able to replicate the steps a couple different ways.

First I add items to the cart and go to the checkout page where the “coupon code” field and “gift card” field exist in the same page. Then I am able to apply a coupon twice using these 2 methods:

1) Enter a valid code into the “coupon code” field and apply. The coupon applies as expected. Then type any string of characters into the “gift card” field and apply. The coupon will apply once again.

2) Enter a valid code into the “coupon code” field and apply. The coupon applies as expected. Then in the same “coupon code” field, type any string of characters into the “coupon code” field and apply. The coupon applies again.

When I disable Gift Card Pro, the issue goes away. Please help!!!?

Ok so I just had a terrible customer support chat on the magenest site regarding the fact the there was a major update, all settings are changed and yet there is no documentation!

They continued to repeat that I needed to buy support again, when all I need in fact is up to date documentation.

I really don’t understand how a plugin author would think it ok to release a major update without having the requisite documentation ready to go.

I now have an inoperable plugin which I cannot roll back to the last version as it’s not compatible with WooCommerce’s update.

You’ve left your customers hanging in the wind here.

Hi Just purchased the Woo Gift Card and have come up again some problems. Firstly when you go to the User Guide for the instructions for the set up, it does not exist which makes the set up hard to do. Then when you set up the card to do the custom price range for the card on the front end it comes up with problem which looks like the code is not working, which could be a problem quickly looking at it with the latest update to Woocommerce 3.0 and above that it is not working. Thirdly I cannot get the SEND TO FRIEND, EMAIL ADDRESS, MESSAGE and SCHEDULED SEND DATE to appear on the CUSTOM PRICE but it will appear on the FIXED PRICE but on the FIXED PRICE the product image does not appear but it does on the CUSTOM PRICE page so need the help especially with the User Manual

Hi, I’m interested but it seems there are some issues to fix before. Can you update us when they are fixed? Moreover, on the demo website the shortcode with [magenest_giftcard] not works, so cannot test it. Then a pre-sale question: PDF/Email to the receiver of the gift start directly after the customer places the order? Or only after payment? I don’t like that someone receives a gift card not already paid…. Thanks

Hi, maybe I was not clear: YOUR demo has an issue, the shortcode not works. If I go on demo page, and then click on Gift section, it shows only shortcode but not the script working.

I have been using this plugin with no problems for the past 2 years, With the latest Wordpress upgrade the plugin stopped generating giftcards after the Woocomerce sale. I updated the plugin to the latest version and it works but now I lost the custom pdf I had created and now it sends a generic image with some social media links that cannot be customized. How can I restore my custom email design? I have the “attach the pdf gift card” option selected but it does not work. There is no documentation for this update.

Unfortunately I cannot sympathize with you as you are not been very helpful. This issue is related to an update you released with no documentation and with mayor changes that alter the current functionality of the plugin. I’m not asking for you to fix my problem, I only want some documentation about the new features and changes on the current update so I can fix it myself or at least try. And just as a suggestion instead of dismissing the issue because it’s an old purchase, you could at least suggest some alternative even if it’s paid support. That’s not smart customer service. Really terrible release strategy.
