Attributes don’t seem to be appearing in the drop down menu, why is that?

In order for them to show up, the attributes / variations need to be applied to a product that is published. If its not assigned to any products, or assigned to products that are not published that attribute will not show up in the drop down.

Its saying products have been modified but the plugin is not updating/modifying my products?

For this plugin to pickup on variations they have to be added correctly in the first place. Woocommerce variations should first be created in the attributes section, then added to products.

Here is the step by step process.

1.) Go to Woocommerce > Attributes

2.) Create your attribute (Color)

3.) Click the “configure terms” icon to add terms/variations to your attribute (Red, Black, Blue, White)

4.) Once you have added all your variations, go to your product, select “Variable Product” for product data.

5.) Go to Attributes and select the attribute(s) you created (T-Shirts) from the drop down, click add.

6.) Click the button “select all” to add all variations to the attribute.

7.) Check the box “used for variations” and “show on product page” then click “Save Attributes”

8.) Go to Variations and click the button “Link All Variations” and it will automatically add all variations to your product. Or you can select them individually.

The plugin is timing out, stays hanging, or does not make changes once I click “submit/go”

INCOMPATIBLE PLUGINS We have found the “Table Rate Shipping for Woocommerce” plugin interferes, so disable that plugin before making changes. As well if you imported your products with the woocommerce CSV import, and you did not import them perfectly it can cause issues.

SERVER MEMORY ISSUE Another problem could be a memory problem with your hosting provider. You might have to contact them for support.

You can google “php.ini increase memory Wordpress” for some methods on how to increase your the memory on your hosting. We suggest to increase it to 256MB. Here is more info. http://docs.woothemes.com/document/increasing-the-wordpress-memory-limit/

You can view your currently memory limit under Dashboard > WooCommerce > System Status > “WP Memory Limit”

Another simple solution is to process less queries at a time, by selecting categories or sub categories to limit how many products are being changed.
