I am having an issue with the Alphabetical Search plugin when using the short code. When the page has multiple pages (pagination) the Alphabetical Search will not show up for multiple pages. Example page 2, 3 or 4.
Here is the page where I have the short code and it is working as expected. http://www.catalogdelight.com/alphabetical-catalog-listing/?letter=A
Here is the page with pagination with the shortcode not working. http://www.catalogdelight.com/alphabetical-catalog-listing/page/2/?letter=A
When I use the shortcode it does not recognize page/2, but it will work using the auto placement feature. I would like the Alphabetical Search to work only when the visitor is on the following link http://www.catalogdelight.com/alphabetical-catalog-listing/ page and the pagination pages associated with it.
Thanks again for your reply,
Can you please create a login for us and email on firstname.lastname@example.org and we will check what’s going wrong here.
hi, there’s an issue about your plugin when using the shortcode in the widgets area… after clicking a letter it sends to the same current path and adds the variable ?letter and shows “404 not found” but when the current page is /shop, it shows results, I need to be able to use this plugin in the sidebar of the single product page.
I know it’s an url problem.
Do you have any fix for that?
Can you share your site admin login details to email@example.com so that we can check the issue.
can I use this plugin with custom post types?
Currently it only works with WooCommerce products. If you want this for custom post types then you might need to get the plugin modified.
if you choose the option:
“Display only those alphabets which has some products” and you are in a category with zero products how can you hide the title “Text above the alphabets” The alphabet is hidden but the title still shows.
The category structure is:
Main cat => No products
Cat 1: No products
Cat 2: PRODUCTS
Can you please share such a url and we will have a look at it ?
Here is a url with no products but categories:
I checked the url but I can see the products there. Can you please verify?
We are working on a different issue. Check this category:
The title still shows even when it is just categories.
I realli need some help.
How can I show only products in a specific categopry
Every thing is running smoothly I rally like the plugin. I really need to show only products in a specific category.
Please let me know how to do this.
Currently, it’s not possible out of the box. You can hire someone from our team to get the desired feature you need.
Hi! Thank you so much for making this plugin, it’s exactly what I was looking for. Is there any way to remove the alphabet from the search results (when somebody searches for an item)? The reason is, often many items that are not applicable to the product they’re searching on show up (it may be 5000 items). Thanks, Ray
Can you please give me some specific situation or even an example of what you are looking for. It’s a bit confusing for me. Can you try to share some url and showing the things you need?
Hi. Is there any way to filter by category?
Currently there is no option to filter by category. If you want you can hire someone from our team and get what you need.
Do we have to hire you to better your plugin? I think making your plugin to be able to filter by category should be part of your plugin and not an extra that one has to pay you to get done. No. Sorry, we can’t hire you to better your plugin.
Actually what you are asking doesn’t comes under support request. Thanks for your suggestion, we might add this feature in future.
pre sale question:
hye, before i buy your best plugin. i wanna ask whether this plugin can:
1) can i add the alphabetical search in the menu area?
2) can i make only certain product brands shows in the menu?
1) Sorry but currently you can’t do it out of the box.
2) It doesn’t show up brands. It displays as per products.
