Is there a plan to support Abandoned Cart functionality in the future?
Yes, we plan to support all or at least most of the new MailChimp ecommerce features that were made available with their API version 3.
Thank you. Do you have a timeline for this update?
We don’t have this planned yet (some other stuff needs to be done before that) but I believe we are looking into 2-4 months.
There’s an error in the latest version:
2017/01/13 19:23:13 [error] 7000#7000: *556619 FastCGI sent in stderr: “PHP message: PHP Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /wp-content/plugins/woochimp/woochimp.php on line 3372” while reading response header from upstream, client: XXXXX, server: XXXX
Thank you for sharing this – it’ll be fixed in new version soon.
Is there maybe a little help possible?
How can I transfer the user_role to mailchimp too? I can find in “User Properties” the User ID for export but not the role. This would be helpfull for Mailinggroups, because we are working with different customer-roles like also subscribers. All not registered customers normaly are the “guest” role.
Unfortunately it’s not yet available, however we’ll consider adding this in future – that you for your feedback!
Any idea why this isn’t working? We added a function which is adding in _wp_postmeta the role of the user as meta_keyin the field “_user_role” for export in your plugin. Then we defined a custom-order-field with this new field but it will not be transfered to MailChimp. Any idea why this is not working? Other meta_keys from woocommerce itself like “_payment_method” are working well.
Could be that you saving this meta a bit too late, so when WooChimp tries to read it, it’s not yet available. You’ll need to debug this step by step and find out whether or not the value is there when it’s needed.
Just wanted to let you know that I have stopped using the plugin since it doesn´t provide me the API 3 connection and abbandoned cart… there is a free plugin that does the same available on wordpress repository and has the abbandoned cart option, is developed by mailchimp.
Hope this message hits you and you hurry up…
Thank you for your feedback. Yes, WooChimp doesn’t support abandoned cart functionality yet and we’ll do our best to implement this in future.
I have a multi-language setup – Each product (gift cards) have an english or a french variant.
In mailchimp, I have one list with two groups (english and french).
Can your plugin add people to the correct groups according to the variant they purchase?
Is that a variations of one varialble product or maybe different simple products? Is so, then you could add those products in condition, and based on those conditions set the specific groups to subscribe.
hi, the language is setup as variations of each variable product. Any solutions for this?
Sure, you can set the specific variation as condition and configure different sets based on that, that will subscribe users to different groups.
That’s fantastic. Could you explain how I can do that exactly? I didn’t see any way to set variations as conditions in the screenshots or the features of the plugin.
You just need to select this under “conditions” section of any automatic/checkbox set. Feel free to submit a support ticket to us if you need help in setting this up.
Is there an option to have an optin checkbox that is empty? In Norway its a requirement that people give active consent, so the checkbox for signing up is not allowed to be pre-checked.
Yes, you can set the default state of checkbox in settings – it can be checked or unchecked.
Just purchased the plugin and having some issues. I can get the checkout opt in to sent to a group within my master list, but when I try to also automate on the backend nothing happens. I’d like to have it setup whereby on checkout if a customer opts into newsletters they are added to Master List/Newsletter and at the same time (opt-in or not) have that email address added to Master List/Product Name for remarking purposes. Is this possible or am I missing something in setup?
Please submit a support ticket to us with temporary login credentials, so we could help you on your setup directly.
Just submitted. Thank you.
Waiting on ticket update for multi list group issues.
Thank you, please allow us some time to look into your issue, we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
I purchased this plugin and I cannot integrate my site with my MailChimp account. The response is “Integration not enabled or API key not set” although I have correctly copied a MailChimp API key. I am also the account owner in MailChimp and Wordpress. I recently verified my domain with valid DKIM and SPF records, would that affect it? Please help. Thank you,
To expand: I received error “More details: akamai_503(503): . Reverted to a previous state.”
We’ve seen such error when something is not correctly connected on server side – for some reason your server can’t reach MailChimp server and communicate with it.
Your API key could be correct, but it never reaches MailChimp, so the error is returned.
I want to ask something. Can I create separate list, according to product ordered?
Someone ordered SAMSUNG Galaxy J1, I want to create a list with name SAMSUNG Galaxy J1.
After that I can send him specific accessories for this model.
Waiting for your answer!
No, in current version you can only use the lists created on MailChimp’s side, there’s no way to create it from WooChimp.
Hi – I have just installed this plug in and I am trying to create a mailshot in mail chimp with product info from my woo commerce store – I cant see any option for this. All I want to do is send details of products to my mailing list on MC.
Please can you let me know how I can do this.
Have you configured and activated Ecommerce functionality in WooChimp?
That way order data with products purchased will be added to your MailChimp account, and then you can use it on MailChimp.
Pre-sale question: Can I create customer accounts in WooCommerce for any users added to a list?
Plugin actually works the other way around – WooChimp sends subscriber and customer data to MailChimp and adding those users there.
Hello, I’m searching for a plugin that offers me some functionality and I found yours. I would like to know if I can perform the following tasks:
01. Capture name and email of the user before entering the cart so that I can identify abandonment of cart;
02. Record customers who have not made the payment to send reminders;
03. Identify the customers who canceled the purchase to send incentives;
I look forward to receiving your reply, thank you!
Thank you for reaching out!
Unfortunately all those functionality is not yet available in our plugin, but we’ll consider implementing this in future versions.
Hi, I want to make sure I understand this before I purchase. I would like to be able to create multiple signup forms and assign subscribers to specific list groups. Does you plugin have support for that?
also does this support popups?
That mostly applies to our other product – Chimpy.
Hello, does your plugin use PayPal IPN? I am getting an IPN error for a URL that looks like this: https://mydomain.us5.list-manage1.com/subscribe/paypal-ipn?u= (edited to not include full URL). Does this look related to your plugin?
Thanks for input!
No, WooChimp is not related to PayPal in any way and doesn’t use their IPN service. IPN used as notification about payment status, and no payments are handled by WooChimp.
Thanks Kirill. I suspected this was the case, but wanted to rule out WooChimp as the culprit of my IPN troubles.
Sure, let us know if you need any other help from us.
What’s the difference between this and the official WooCommerce plugin? https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-mailchimp-integration/
We haven’t thoroughly tested WooCommerce plugin, but it looks like our plugin allows more flexibility in terms of different ways of subscribing users (automatic or checkbox), and the ability to create unlimited number of sets to subscribe users to different lists/groups based on different conditions.
Hello, is it possible to sync to separate MailChimp lists depending on the user shipping country entered during checkout?
Yes, it is possible – you can create as many sets as you’d like, and use different condition and list in each set.
