I have just bought the plugin WooChimp and I assumed that I can also add the purchased products to Mailchimp. But I find no way to do that.
At my shop, a customer always buys only one virtual downloadable product. I would like to send the name of the product as well as the link for download with Mailchimp to the customer.
How can I do this?
I believe you already opened a ticket about that, so we could help you set this up. In short – you can subscribe user and send ecommerce data to MailChimp, but sending emails and triggers for that are handled on the side of MailChimp.
Where can I find a list of the Custom Oder Field Keys and Custom User Fields Keys to use them on the installation “Subscribe On Checkout – Automatic” Page
Those keys are referring to post/user meta data and is used when you have some additional fields implemented on your site – it is assumed that you’re aware of those fields and know the keys used to update and retrieve them.
And there’s no way to list only “added” fields, as all custom fields are added in the same way (e.g. the ones added by WooCommerce and other plugins).
All the email messages will be sent by mailchimp? Replacing the basic transactional messages sent by woocommerce?
WooChimp can subscribe users on various conditions and then send and update the ecommerce datta.
On MailChimp side you can set different triggers related to that, and possibly even replace the emails sent by WooCommerce if you’d like to have it like that. But note that you’ll need to setup those triggers and disable the emails in WooCommerce settings, as WooChimp doesn’t handle any of that.
I would like to use WooChimp on a site with WPML currently using two languages English and Italian.
Please could you let me know how your WPML support works?
Many thanks in advance
There are only some labels from settings that are available though WPML, so you can translate them as any other plugin options.
Hope you’re having a good day.
I just bought your plugin but I can’t figure out how to setup e-Commerce integrations.
I saw that under the e-Commerce tab the plugin says this:
“MailChimp E-Commerce syncs order data with MailChimp and associates it with subscribers and campaigns. E-Commerce must be enabled in both WooChimp and MailChimp settings. Data is sent when payment is received or order is marked completed.”
I studied your documentation to try and figure out how to enable e-Commerce in the Mailchimp settings but I couldn’t find out any information on how to do it:
Please could you explain exactly what I need to do to get this setup?
Thanks a lot
Unfortunately that article is a bit outdated – as far as we know, E-commerce functionality should be available after you set that up in WooChimp settings.
If something is not working right, feel free to submit a support ticket to us, so we could check this directly on your setup (please include the temporary login credentials).
Are you saying that everything should be working as soon as I enter the Mailchimp API settings in my Woochimp plugin?
I just need to try and work out how to make sure that everything is setup properly in Woochimp and Mailchimp.
Surely this should be the most important aspect of your plugin?
Yes, from our experience it should work out of the box. To find out if it works correctly, just enable logging of all requests and then open the log – it’s quite readable, so you will understand if it’s working correctly or returning some error(s). In that case feel free to submit a support ticket to us.
In WooCommerce (with your plugin) can I subscribe customers like this :
Product A = List A
Product B = List B
Product C = List C
Yes, you can setup such conditions – as much as you need.
How to connect a product to a list? Do you have a tutorial?
You’ll need to create set (either “automatic” or “checkbox”), select the list there and then condition of specific product.
Thank you! Like this? https://postimg.org/image/8nz0zclox/
(I would like the buyers of “Affiliation…” to be registered to the list “1 formation du pack 10k”). It’s ok?
Yes, that looks correct. If you need any help in setting this up, feel free to submit a support ticket to us.
Hi! Is there any difference in terms of features between this and the official plugin? The official plugin is really unstable and gets out of sync, but I would like to know if there’s any feature missing in your plugin before buying.
Unfortunately we haven’t tested that plugin thoroughly, and can’t say what features are available there and which are stable enough to use, so you will have to compare those by yourself – just launch our demo, it has all the functionality open for testing.
I am looking to subscribe a user to a list based on an item/program they purchased through Woo Commerce. So say they purchase Product 1: They would be added to a Mailchimp pre-created list titled “Product 1”. I basically have 3 products I’m offering and each one receives a different set of emails. Thanks in advance!
Yes, that is completely possible and quite easy to configure. Feel free to submit a support ticket to us if you need any help in setting this up.
Are you guys planned to extend the functionalities fo the plugin with more e-commerce features like abandoned carts and product synchronisation? This is a very needed feature.
Yes, we have those features planned, but unfortunately currently there’s no ETA on those.
Can I use this plugin to add an email to a specific list only when a specific product is purchased?
Yes, of course – there are conditions available for that.
Pre sale question:
Im trying WooChimp Demo in this page and i see that all runs ok in side Wordpress but in MailChimp side when i cant create woocommerce automation, says me “Requires an e-commerce integration”
Isnt possible use mailchimp automation with MailChimp?
Most probably that no ecommerce data was sent yet, because in current version it’s only sent when there’s order placed and completed.
Hi, i have a multilangual website. With your plugin is it possible to send users in different lists according to their language? And send emails according to their languages
No, I’m afraid it’s not possible yet.
We use the latest version of your plugin (2.2.4) but an older WooCommerce version (2.6.14). Since installing the plugin. People who were already subscribed and now buy something in my store receive an a new status in mailchimp (Status= “transactional recipient”). Thus they no longer get my newsletter. I can prove that those people have gone trough an double opt-in process in the past. Is this error correlated with WooCommerce 3.x and API 3.x? Do I need to upgrade or does your plugin still support 2.x WooCommerce? Thanks for helping!
No, it’s not related to WooCommerce version. Please submit a support ticket to us with temporary login credentials, so we could look into your setup.
We are looking for a plugin that can add a user to a mailing list segment based on the product and order status. To explain, we would like users who buy X product to be subscribed to X segment but only if the order is marked as complete (rather than processing). This would then trigger an automated email from MailChimp when the user is added – is this possible with the plugin?
Yes, it is possible to set such trigger only on completed order.
Great, thanks for the quick reply Kirill!
Sure, no problem. Let me know if you have any other questions.
