can you take a picture to any food you want and know how much calories?
Thanks for your comment!
Well… yes and no. You can take a picture from your canera or photo library; you can select the food from the search results and add it to what you ate list. These results come from a food api along with cals and other nutrition info like serving size, carbohydrates etc. It is very possible to make a slight adjustment to set the number of cals manually. At this point it is calculated from the food items you added. However, the app does not recognize the number of cals from the picture of the food
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
thanks for fast answer and good luck.

Wow! Looks really cool!
Thanks wildsurfer! Dont hesitate to provide any further feedback.
Which database this project use mongoDB?
Do you have demo of this app.
This app uses Firebase. You can take a look at it at www.firebase.com. At this point, whatIate does not use any other backend. It is easy to customize the app to use your own backend.
I will go ahead and spin up a demo on Ionic view app and update the description with the ID. Here is a link to the Ionic view app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ionic.viewapp&hl=en&referrer=utm_source%3Dgoogle%26utm_medium%3Dorganic%26utm_term%3Dionic+view+app&pcampaignid=APPU_1_RKj7VtKPJ8X7swGx6puYCw
Ok When you finished with update give me ID thx
Also, here is the ID for Ionic view app: a56fa7c2
It is ok app. But you need to create more features… After 10 mins of use app it is little boring
1. I cant upload my profile pictures
2. I cant see who likes my status
3. I cant go to friend wall and watch his meals
I really appreciate your feedback, crosite! That is exactly what I am going to implement within next couple of days
Nice start, good luck with sales!
Hey PhoenixTeam! Thanks!
Great application. Well done guys!
Hey idealUI! Hope that it is make developers’ life easier a bit. Thanks and GLWS to you as well
Great job! GLWS )
This is a great app!
1. So this app can identify the food in the picture with some picture recognition algorithm?
2. How do we “teach” the app to identify more foods and what calories it has?
Thanks for your comment. To answer your questions, the app does not do any picture recognition. Im sorry to disappoint you with this . You may simply take a pic of the food or whatever. The calories and things of that nature come from the food search. You may search by key words or scan the bar code on the food container, if that is avail. After that you get some search results from the nutrition API and choose the options that fits the best. With that in mind, obviously there is no way to “teach” the app to identify more foods.
You brought a very interesting point, I will spend time researching picture recognition and how that can be implemented.
Again, thanks for the comments, don’t hesitate to ask if any other questions arise.
Hi guys! nice application! Looked in .apk and it looks awesome!
I think you need more functionality: searching by location, friends list etc…
Ionic is really powerful and interesting tool for small application.
Will wait for more updates!
Nice app, how i can contact you?
Any idea if the app will be available for Ionic 2 beta?
So far we have no plans for Ionic 2. We will let you know if smth changes with this.
Hello, could be a varietion of the app?, we want custom recipies that will be personalized for customer user, is there a way mo modify it to make it personal, is more like for a nutrition doctor
Sure! That is exactly what the app is for. You take a template provided and do all the changes you need or even re-factor it according to your specific needs. Since I am available for Freelance hire I can help you with the app customization. Please contact me if you are interested.
Nice to hear that, I will contact you soon, regards
how to edit user profile and delete or edit content
That is something that need further development. Since it is a barebone starter template application, it has ares that are to be developed according to your specific needs. Also, we are considering further app development, so the new versions would have that. There is no ETA on that at this point.
will it come with ios
Since this is a template for a hybrid application developed with Ionic Framework, it is able to be compiled for iOS and Android and other less popular platforms.
So, yes, it comes with iOS.
Thanks for your comment!
Well, this is awkward Purchased…. installing…. “This app uses AWS S3 for saving files. There is some pricing involved.”
Can you modify the code for me that it’ll use local storage or so?
Thought using this template would be way more easy than it is lol.
Or another option could be if you could mail me a full export (in html/css) of the site, maybe I can use that instead of the builder. But that’s depending on how it’s exported
I am sorry that you have an issue with your purchase.
>>> Can you modify the code for me that it’ll use local storage or so?
Since the app need to have some sort of the server for storing and saving data to other users, local storage would not really help.
There is a way to adjust the code to save pictures with Firebase instead of AWS S3. You basically need to get image from camera in base64 format and save it with Firebase. That said, the app code would need to be modified to read base64 in ng-src to represent the images in posts. Another way is to use your own server for that. Very doable. As for the “can you help me” part, I can commit some changes to your github repo in order to show that “images in base64” thing. Let me know if that is an option.
>>>Or another option could be if you could mail me a full export (in html/css) of the site, maybe I can use that instead of the builder.
Each and every file that you may need is already in the download that you get from codecanyon. We do not have any additional files or exports to that. You may find all that in the in www folder.
I’ve purchased it mainly for the layout. However when I open the index.html in the www folder, it doesn’t show anything but a white screen. Maybe there is a way to get a “static version” of the layout at least? So without the food functions/login and so on. That’d be enough for now.
Just to clarify, this is an Ionic Framework(http://ionicframework.com) template for a hybrid application. This is not a static HTML template. With that in mind, it is meant to be used in conjunction with cordova and ionic software installed on your system.
I would suggest to take a look at www/templates folder in order to see the static HTML files that are populated with data from backend(Firebase) and rendered by Ionic on a mobile device. As for the “static version”, I am afraid that I would not be able to supply that.
One other thing that I can think of is, if you are gone through the installation process, you may run “ionic serve” console command (make sure to change directory to the project folder) in order to see the app running in your browser and use developer console or page source to get the HTML. Hope that helps.

I’ve tried that, but can’t get it working Guess I’ve just purchased the wrong item lol, thanks for your support though, I’ll just move on on another project.
hello i have a problem with the app, when I filled in whole or modified any files that are located in the js / app.js and I’ve correctly entered the app.constant (‘firebaseUrl’, ‘https://YOURFIREBASEAPP.firebaseio.com ‘);
I configured all and I also changed the name of the file index.html
<Body ng-app = “Social”>
<Ion-nav-bar class = “bar-calm”>
<Ion-nav-view> </ ion-nav-view>
Now when I start the simulator in the compiler compiles without errors and without problems, and not stop there:
Now there some passogio I wrong thanks
do you have a git repository, so I can take a look at the app code?
hello thanks for the alert as I’ll send you the code. Skype

I am very sorry about the issue you are having with our app.
Do you have the app on github by the chance? That way I can take a look at the code and help fast.
I can do that but out the box it was blank and after I added keys it was blank in serve mode and after I uploaded it to ionic.
I don’t feel comfortable uploading my edited code to a public github location. What’s your email address?
Please mail it to: springate.nick (at) gmail.com
thanks! will send the zip that came straight from codecanyon

Hello and thank you for your feedback. We have tested our app last time a month ago and app was working fine with latest versions.
After your request we will include complete list of supported versions in our app to avoid issues like this in future.
If you are deeply unsatisfied with our application, you may request envato support to issue you refund (we don’t have controll over this process). Though we plan to update our app in nearest future and would love to send you updated app version.
What version of Ionic does it use?
Thanks for the reply. Any plans to update to version 3?
