Hi, Have just bought and installed. I’m struggling to find where and how I can have an image > click on the image > and a lightbox opens with some html content e.g. Title and Text.

I’m trying to do what I saw on your demo site.

Please can I ask how this is done? Thanks

Hi Again, I’m just styling the pops up now. I’m trying to set opacity of lightbox background to 50% and remove the colour that is appearing at the bottom.

In the settings I’ve found where I can turn off ‘Remove Backlight Effect’. I click No … so it changes to Yes … hit save … which reloads the page … and the setting is back to No.

Is this a known issue or a conflict with WPEngine hosting?

UPDATE – I’ve clicked the WPEngine button that is titled ‘Reset File Permissions’ and it now seems to be saving the options now.

I also found the Alpha setting for Opacity.

So all ok now thanks

Glad to hear you figured it out already. :)

When is the update planned?

The auto-update will only be available if you entered and confirmed your license key in the plugin settings. And WordPress is checking for updates incrementally every 12 hours, so the update would have popped up eventually.

For a manual update, simply upload the extracted folder from the .zip archive you downloaded via FTP directly onto your server, replacing all existing plugin files.

Your plugin settings will remain, as those will only be deleted if you actually uninstall the plugin.

And where can I see a list of changes to the new version?

The plugin includes an internal changelog up to the version currently installed, which you can access in the plugin settings. The settings page will also provide you with a link to the full external changelog, which you can find in the support forum:

A link to the full changelog is also provided in the item description here on CodeCanyon.

Do you know if there’s a way to play youtube videos on HD as the default setting? Youtube always serves them on 480px as default, (grrrrr !!!!)

Yes, by default, YouTube will always serve the video quality that best fits the height of the container the video is embedded in. That means, the smaller the video is shown on the page, the lower the utilized video quality will be, but usually no less than 360p, unless the uploaded video had a very low resolution to begin with.

The iFrame API does provide an undocumented video quality parameter, but YouTube can still overrule the requested quality if it determines that a different quality will work better for the particular container size. The quality parameter is more of a request to YouTube, but YouTube will determine the final quality.

I will see if I can implement a quality selection for the element with the next update.

Don’t you worry about it, you’ve been more than helpful with every request I’ve made. I was hoping for a “oh, yeah, just add this paramenter to the argument and voilá” response. I’ll find my way around it. Thanks :)
