Loving the plugin! I have a question about getting the ‘already subscribed’ screen to show. If a subscriber has already subscribed, aweber would normally take you to a ‘Already Subscribed’ page using one of their form.

However, using this plugin, if you subscribe again the page just hangs with the spinner spinning and does nothing.

I’ve asked a developer to have a look at it and he has asked me to ask you this:

“These blocks would work better if I could change the javascript code of aweber VC. Can you ask the developer that it would be great if they could add a body class on success or error. It’s a simple change actually but makes a great difference. Or they can change form.find(’.aw-success-message’) as $(’.aw-success-message’)”

Is this possible? Pretty please?

Thanks in advance,

Hi Richard,

I have fixed the bug. If a user has ‘Already Subscribed’ then an error message will be shown.

The plugin update has been submitted and it will be live within next 24hrs.

Brilliant, thanks so much, looking forward to trying it!

The signup box I installed on my site is not working now. I get a spinning wheel when I try to put in an email address. Please advise

Please send me the url of the page in which you have added the form.

Hello Sushil,

I just discovered another bug with your plugin. The custom field is not adding data sent into Aweber.

I created a “Phone Number” field in the form and also added this field to my Aweber list with the exact same name but this information is not captured whenever anybody signs up with the form on my website.

Could you please test the custom field and let me know when it is fixed? This is quite urgent because we have already deployed the form on the live website so we need it fixed as quickly as possible.

Hi Yemi,

This issue is fixed in latest release of Visual Composer Aweber Addon.

I just implemented this plugin for a customer this weekend, and it appears that users signing up from the plugin, are not having the opt-in logic via AWeber applied.

The contact form in AWeber has the opt-in confirmation option turned off (I have confirmed this) however all new subscribers receive a confirmation opt-in email. I confirmed this myself a few minutes ago.

Are you aware of how to ensure that process of signing up with your plugin adheres to the config details for the form? I did not see an readily visible option in VC to send over hidden form-data to possibly include the option to disable the opt-in message.

Thank You,

Just read the documentation and installed the plugin via Wordpress dashboard. Successfully authenticated my Aweber account in settings.

The problem is that when I try adding an Aweber form container or any of the other VC Aweber elements to a page, I get a spinning wheel like the VC element is loading, but it never loads.

I am able to add other VC elements to the page and they load fine. I can also add other VC elements inside the form container if I click close on the loading form container, and the other elements load fine.

Can you please send me login details so that I can check the issue.

Where do I send this information. In the ‘Email wpguides’ section of your user profile? or somewhere else? – UPDATE: I sent the info via email on your profile page.

This was the fix. edited – /wp-content/plugins/vc-aweber/lib/vc-aweber-map.php and commented lines with function vc_generate_dependencies_attributes
