Hi

Just purchased and installed, followed the instructions and selected the pages I want, clicked save then usertrack>>usertrack and I get the sites 404 page.

What have I missed please?

Hi – thanks for the quick reply: 2 sites are running the brand new WP4.8 and they don’t work, one that hasn’t been upgraded runs fine….

Thanks for the report, I am currently working on a very big update and didn’t have time to check the new WP version, will do after I release userTrack 2.2.0 (which includes 70% less storage usage, no jQuery dependency for tracking, reduced network usage and much more).

I will update my WP to 4.8 and see what’s the problem.

Does this plugin show the user ID if a logged in user is visiting the site?

Hello,

Depends on what user ID is in your case. The script can’t know what the user ID is, but what you can do is automaticallly add a tag to the user like “userid_1234” using JavaScript. For this you have to be able to get the userID in JavaScript and call the UST.addTag() function.

Hey, pre-sale question. Speed and proper optimization is of critical importance to me. Is this plugin on par with stuff like hotjar, etc. (in terms of not slowing down the website)? Thank you

Depends on whether you host userTrack on the same server or not. Anyway, the tracking should be more optimized than hotjar as the tracking is not as complex as the one done by hotjar. That being said, the impact of userTrack on your site performance should be very low (unnoticable) even if you host userTrack on the same server.

I’m afraid I cannot get this to work for the life of me – basically keep getting js errors all around (when I try to access the heatmap it just staggers there).

Hello support, I have a multisite with one primary domain. e.g. (site1.mysite.com, site2.mysite.com, site3.mysite.com etc) Should this be activated on the main mysite.com only with tracker.js installed on each separate subdomain or should you activate it ‘network wide’ which would in theory allow each subsite have its own recordings with the primary domain recording across domains (so to say)? Looking forward to playing with this. Thanks!!!

If I recall correctly only the tracker.js file needs write permissions enabled.

Hello – we have been using without a problem for the last two months… today we changed the setting from 1000 (default) to last 25 views/clicks and it broke the entire site. We uninstalled and reinstalled and same problem keeps happening. Any suggestions would be appreciated :-)

Currently the deletion is pretty slow as it has to delete all the data for the clients. I just recommend living the page open for a minute or so until all the data is deleted.

If that doesn’t work, try dropping all the tables in the database (even though they should automatically be removed when you uninstall the plugin).

When you change the limit from 1000 to 25 is there any data already stored that has to be deleted? Do you get any errors?

Plugin doesn’t work. Has never worked actually for me. Installed it on Wordpress website correctly and it displays “No data stored in database” every time.

Do you get any errors in the JavaScript console on your site? Did you run auto-setup after installing the plugin? Did you add the correct domain name to be tracked?

Does this capture keystrokes or can this be turned off? When a shopper is doing a checkout, any way to avoid capturing the input of personal information?

Yes, you can disable specific input of being tracked by adding the noRecord CSS class to the element. Also, by default, password inputs are not recorded.

So, something like this: <input type=”text” class=”noRecord” />

I installed the plugin, and logged in. I’ve setup the script to track my pages. However, when i visit the website, it still says “no active users” or users-online: 0?

I’ve already checked that the script is included in the pages i want to track, but it’s not tracking?

When i login, and click the “Run auto setup.” nothing happens, it only refreshes the page, and redirect me back to the userTrack dashboard?

Hi Tips4design Team,

I have two questions:

a) I’ve bought and downloaded the PHP-Script by accident. I know the refund policy, but maybe there can be an exception, since I haven’t any use for the Script.

b) I can’t get the wordpress plugin running. The Usertrack-Interface states: “There seems to be no data stored in the database, Tracking 0 domain, 0 visitors.” Changing the path under settings reverts itself to the old path. Also I think the path is ok. The url point to a Wordpress Installation in a subdirectory. New users can be added, but are not shown in the list.
