Sorry, me again.

Possibly related to the same issue above but the pricing table displays with none of the design elements visible.

Hi,

I just bought this plugin and after checking and reading if I’m missing something, I’m not able to see the plugin in the plugins options to activate it.

Like some user asked a few post before, I unziped the file I downloaded from CC, and the unziped the uPricing.zip which content all the plugin files including upricing.php, and place it into me plugin folder (in my local environment, using MAMP ).

I also tried with another wordpress environment and keep the same results, I’m not able to see the plugin in the plugin list.

I would appreciate any help.

Regards.

Hi,

please drop us a line via the contact form on our profile page and we’ll get back to you. If you can please provide any details about the second environment. We’ve had something similar to occur once with a different plugin, but we wee not able to confirm it on MAMP locally, as locally everything works as expected, so this might be a difficult issue to debug….

Im noticing that my pricing tables do not look the same…some text is off and hap hazard. Do I need to download this again? I downloaded about a month ago. Not sure if you released an update for 3.3

Hi,

please drop us a line if you haven’t already via the contact form on our profile page and we’ll send you an update.

Hey Ud, I’m using the wordpress plugin on my site

http://2pediting.com/started/

Why does my page look like this?

Is there an error in the plugin? I have not touched any coding or anything. Please advise as I need this page set up soon.

Thanks!

Hi,

it is not an error, it is just that your theme has style specifications for the same elements that are used by uPricing. Please drop us a line via the contact form on our profile page and we’ll send you an updated version that should work better.

Hi,

Where do I enter target=”_blank” so that the Buy buttons can open in a new tab?

Thanks

Hi !

I use GravityForms and include the uPricing Table as an HTML -Block.

In this case the plugin doesn’t know that there is a uPricing Shortcode at the post or page.

Do you think it’s possible to extend th following function, so the usr could set a custom-value for a post or page to overwrite your check-functions ?

/** * UDS Pricing Is Active * Figures out if uPricing is active on current page * * @return bool active/inactive */ function uds_pricing_is_active() { global $post; if (get_post_meta($post->ID, 'uds-pricing-table', true) != "1") if(function_exists('uds_active_shortcodes')) { $active_shortcodes = uds_active_shortcodes(); if( ! in_array('uds-pricing-table', active_shortcodes)) { return false; } } } return true; }

It would be nice if you could integrate this feature into your default code, so it will be included in every update.

hi,

yes you can force the function to always return true. Just add the return true; as the first line in the function.

UDS

I also reviewed that the plugin doesn’t support other languages. I could extend the plugin with this feature if you need.

Hi,

that’d be great if you want to do it.

I am thinking of purchasing this, but I would like to know if its possible to add more than 4 columns through css?

Hi,

the number of columns is not limited.

UDS

Has this been optimized for 3.3? Last time I installed it it looked broken, just waiting to see if it will work again on my new site. Thanks!

Hi,

make sure you have the latest version, and if you problem persists, let us know via the contact form on our profile page. It is most likely just an interference from the theme.

UDS

Is there any way to set up tooltips in the table structure?

Thanks

You can put tooltips on the feature names.

UDS

How do you go about doing thing? I dont see anything in the menu or the documentation?

Is there any way to set up tooltips in the table structure?

Thanks

Hello – How do I get to display a CHECK MARK or X in the tables?

Thanks

Hi,

there are images for this in the uPricing/images folder, you can change those if you want.

I just purchased and installed this plugin on a highly-customized site. I found that the admin area for Structure and Products exhibited ghost-in-the-machine type of behavior. Entire data fields under Properties->Label would disappear or reappear on their own, while data entered into one Product would get swapped with data in another Product.

To make sure this wasn’t being caused by my site, I installed uPricing on a brand-new, fresh install of WordPress 3.3.1, with no other plugins activated.

The ghost remained.

Here is a simple, repeatable procedure that anyone (including UDS ) can take to see this ghost in action:

1. Create new Pricing Table structure.
2. In General Options -> Name, enter “cat”.
3. In General Options -> Skin, leave as “Default”.
4. Under Properties -> Label, enter “Row A”. Leave Tooltip blank and Type as “text”.
5. Click the “plus” button under Actions (a new blank row will appear below).
6. For Label in the new row, enter “Row B”. Leave Tooltip blank and Type as “text”.
7. Click the “plus” button next to “Row B”.
8. For Label in the new row, enter “Row C”. Leave Tooltip blank and Type as “text”.
9. Click the “Update” button at the lower right corner.
10. You will see that both “Row A” and “Row B” have disappeared, and that only “Row C” remains.

Here is another procedure that will encourage the ghost to come out to play:

1. Create new Pricing Table structure.
2. In General Options -> Name, enter “dog”.
3. In General Options -> Skin, leave as “Default”.
4. Under Properties -> Label, enter “Row A”. Leave Tooltip blank and Type as “text”.
5. Don’t click the “plus” button to add another row, since we already know from the above example that the “plus” sign is possessed by the ghost. Instead, click on the “Update” button now.
6. You will notice that “Row A” is still there, and a new blank row has appeared, which is correct behavior.
7. For Label in the new row, enter “Row B”. Leave Tooltip blank and Type as “text”, then click “Update”.
8. You will notice that “Row B” is still there, and a new blank row has appeared, which is correct behavior.
9. For Label in the new row, enter “Row C”. Leave Tooltip blank and Type as “text”, then click “Update”.
10. You will notice that “Row C” is still there, and a new blank row has appeared, which is correct behavior.
11. Use the move Action (the up/down/left/right icon) to drag “Row C” above “Row B”, then click the “Update” button. Looks like it saved fine, right?
12. Now drag “Row C” above “Row A”, then click the “Update” button.
13. You will see that “Row C” has disappeared from the top row.

The above two procedures are only two of many, many possible procedures we can perform to summon the ghost.

This ghost has a tendency to affect only the data fields on the same lines where we have used an Action (move this row, add new row, or delete this row) button, in the edit Structure area, as well as the equivalent (move this product or delete product) buttons in the edit Product area. Workaround: I have found that most of the time (not all, but perhaps >95%), I will not awaken the ghost if I don’t use any of these Action buttons.

This is a very frustrating problem…having this ghost around. It makes it very difficult to modify existing Structures and Products.

UDS , please kill the ghost for us.

Hi,

thank you so much for such an exhaustive bug report. Please drop us a line via the contact form on our profile page so that we can send you an updated version for testing. I will look into it asap.

UDS

Hello. I just bought this plugin and was disappointed to find it so buggy. I cant get any work done when it keeps erasing my progress!

Hi,

please drop us a line via the contact form on our profile page and we’ll help you.

UDS

I purchased this item and set it up, looks good on IE but not on any other browser, Im currently using chrome it doesn’t look right. I sent you an email with my site linked a week ago an have gotten no reply.

Hi,

I haven’t been able to find you email. Could you please re-send via the contact form on our profile page?

UDS

hello, it is possible to integrate a color picker? i need many more colors…thx a lot, cheers Toni

Hi,

we’re actively working on the next version now, will integrate that.

UDS

Hello!

Is possible to add another call to action button in a table.

For example:

Call to action Link 1: www.mysite.com/readmyreview Call to action Label 1: Read Review

Call to action Link 2: www.mysite.com/checkout Call to action Label 2: Buy it now!

Is it any way I can add that in the table?

Many thanks,

Philippe

Hi,

currently not, but we’re working on an improved version and we might include this in it.

UDS

Am I correct in thinking that the data is being stored in php arrays and creating the html/css in a foreach loop?

I have been trying to add a CSS tooltip to the pricing table but then look at the code more.

Hi,

yes, this is correct. You could use the tooltip that is already there (stored in the title attribute) and generate a CSS /JS tooltip from it dynamically.

UDS

Great, got it working using [title]:after and some other css, thanks. One more question: Is it possible to ‘break’ the table into sections? For example: having a divide line where just a title goes and then more feature below.

Hmm, I’ve just noticed a flaw in doing it that way, the rest of the template now has the same tooltip. If I hover over the logo for example it shows it in the same style and on many other parts…

You can use a selector like .uds-pricing-table [title]:after to limit it just to the pricing table. The only issue I see is that I think older IE’s don’t support the :after pseudo selector and I’m not sure about the [title] selector either..

UDS

I changed the attribute from title to titlea and that fixed it. I forgot that when doing [title]:after it applies that to all the attributes lol

Cheers for the help, the table fits in very nicely with my dev site – I could send you a link if you wanted to see what I did with the tooltips.
