Is it possible to pinpoint an exact location of say, a tree or shrub?

You can zoom in as close as you want and click anywhere on the map to place a marker.

Before I buy, This plugin support search location by zip code?

Hi, Sorry, that’s not supported.

Hello, I would like to make the point clickable to a link. Is that possible?

Hi,

Sorry, that’s not possible – the Google API doesn’t allow it.

Regards

Hi, one question before I purchase this plugin. Is it possible to edit the information that the marker shows? I want to put there a short description of the place and a link to a page.

Yes, you can do that.

Is it possible to customize the markers with different icons?

Yes, you can do that.

Hello, we are a district municipality in Turkey. We want to use our Urban Renewal project.

Can we build and install our map?

Thank you.

Hello,

I’m not sure I understand your question?

Cheers

IS possible to eliminated this item form UBER MAP?

Hi,

Sorry, that’s not possible, the Google Maps API is adding this text to the map.

Cheers

WP 4.5.x ready?

Yes, it works in the latest WP version.

I really like this plugin! The fact that you can add multiple markers and that they’re animated makes this a winner! The preset maps are great and there are plenty to choose from.

You should really make a point that you can create markers with links by using the info windows. That’s a big deal for real estate. I see this as a great plugin for realtors.

I would like to make a couple suggestions that I encourage you to strongly consider.

1) Allow users to create markers based on address / lattitude-longitude / cities / along with the feature you already have *point and click.

2) Also change the default icon to automatically copy the previous marker, or allow us to select a default icon. So that when we create 100 points, we don’t have to continually go through the process of changing icons. (or maybe allow bulk changes)

Thank you for the feedback, I will make sure those two are in the next version!

Cheers

Does the plugin support “clustering” ?

No, it doesn’t, I’m sorry.

Hi great plugin. If I wanted to have fullscreen enabled as the default setting, Can I do that? Also, woul it them be possible to have the site menu and other things , like a jquery music player be laid on top? In other words, can I use the maps plugin as a kind of background for my homepage?

Hi,

Well, you can do this, but you would have to make those customizations yourself, I can’t assist you with code.

Hi, I have a problem with activation: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in…./uber-google-maps.php on line 126

Apache 2.2 PHP 5.2.17

You need at least PHP 5.3 for the plugin to work, the reason is that 5.2 does not support anonymous functions.

Cheers

Here is some more info on the function that is not supported:

http://php.net/manual/bg/function.preg-replace-callback.php

Quote, under callback>

You’ll often need the callback function for a preg_replace_callback() in just one place. In this case you can use an anonymous function (since PHP 5.3.0)

Hi,

Is it possible to set a marker and link it directly to googlemaps? So that no info-window is shown and the user is redirect directly to googlemaps?

Thanks, Chris

No, that’s not possible unfortunately.

Regards

Is their any function to change the default icon? I don’t find any solution in the settings?

Yes, there are options to use a custom icon from the editor.

Cheers

I need an option to change the default icon. I don’t want to change 100 markers per hand.

You can do that by replacing the icon image that is used by default. Or if you want you can specify your own image URL by modifying that in the JS.

Cheers

Hi,

do you plan an update for the new google maps api? In demo i get some errors: Google Maps API warning: NoApiKeys https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#no-api-keys util.js (Zeile 210) Google Maps API warning: SignedInDeprecated https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#signed-in-deprecated

And the load time is not really nice.

The demo shows these errors because it’s not using the same version of the script. About the page speed – you mean the loading of the map itself, or the loading of the entire page?

Ah okey i understand. The loading of the scripts in firebug. I think i would buy your script and test it. Is there an easy input field for api key? What if the plugin have a api field for google maps, too (like betheme)?

You will need to use an API key only if your site exceeds a certain traffic, which is a lot. Otherwise, I can tell you where in the script you need to replace it, there isn’t a field in the editor.

Cheers

Is it possible to add markers by coordinates?

No, that’s not possible unfortunately.

Pre-Sale Question: While I see you can have tooltips with custom content in them for each map pin. Is it possible to insert a wordpress shortcode into the tooltip to have some content shown which is generated by another shortcode? We use Events Calendar Pro from Tribe and they provide us a shortcode which allows us to display the next X number of upcoming events anywhere on our website. Our hope is that we could use your plugin to create a map with a pin for each of our chapter pages and then within the popup for that pin, display the next upcoming event for that chapter. Can you confirm if your plugin allows for the inserting of other shortcodes within the popup tooltip for a pin?

Hi,

The plugin used to support shortcodes, but it caused more problems than it solved for users, so I removed the feature. If you want to give it a shot and buy the plugin, here is how to enable it – insert the following line of code at line 128 of uber-google-maps.php:

$settings = do_shortcode($settings);

Cheers

Is it possible to add option to toggle satellite mode?

Yes but you need to change that in the plugin’s JS file – uber-google-maps.js. There is a mapOptions array on line 79 if I remember correctly.
