This is beautiful! Can you apply this directly to the body tag instead of just a select region?

Hi IamShipon1988,

yes, You can apply this directly to the body tag.

Overall very nice plugin. Only two things:

1) A suggestion It would be nice to provide a “beforeDisplay()” callback that allows us to work with the target and element before the menu is shown. This would allow us to dynamically manipulate the menu for that target instance prior to having the user interact with it which might sometimes be needed.

2) CSS issue When I began displaying the context menu for my implementation the disabled menu items weren’t grayed out and I could still hover over them with a blue background. After diffing my bootstrap.css with your included version I found that I didn’t have the following lines which I added and everything was perfect:

.dropdown-menu .disabled > a, .dropdown-menu .disabled > a:hover { color: #999999; } .dropdown-menu .disabled > a:hover { text-decoration: none; cursor: default; background-color: transparent; background-image: none; }

Thanks!

Hi iOTOS,

Thank for your comment, i will integrate a “beforeDisplay()” callback function into it as soon as possible.

Hi iOTOS,

I have integrated “beforeDisplay” callback function.

How do I change background color of context menu to show menu as black (bootstrap css – inverse)?

Ok, please wait a few hour.

Hi,

You can edit Context Menu css as the following example without damaging dropdown-menu css.

.bootstrap-contextmenu  .dropdown-menu{
    background: #1B1B1B;
}
.bootstrap-contextmenu  .dropdown-menu li > a{
    color: #BBBBBB;
}
.bootstrap-contextmenu .dropdown-menu .divider{
    background-color: #999999;
    border-bottom: 1px solid #666666;
}
.bootstrap-contextmenu  .dropdown-menu li > a:hover,
.bootstrap-contextmenu  .dropdown-menu li > a:focus{
    background: #DDDDDD;
    color: #333333;
}
.bootstrap-contextmenu  .dropdown-menu li > a > [class^="icon-"],
.bootstrap-contextmenu > .dropdown-menu li > a > [class*=" icon-"] {
    background-image: url("../bootstrap/img/glyphicons-halflings-white.png");
}
.bootstrap-contextmenu  .dropdown-menu li > a:hover > [class^="icon-"],
.bootstrap-contextmenu  .dropdown-menu li > a:hover > [class*=" icon-"] {
    background-image: url("../bootstrap/img/glyphicons-halflings.png");
}

Thank you for your super fast response.

I know this might sound strange, but can I have this work on left click and not right click?

I get it, please wait.

Hi any idea when you might be able to have this as an option?

Please send me your email. I will send you the source code.

also how would I go about adding a href to one of the links in the menu? I don’t see this in the documentation. thanks

Actually maybe u can help me a little further. Basically I want a link in the menu to spawn a boostrap modal popup. I forgot that I also need to have the data-toggle="modal" written in the anchor tag like this

<a data-toggle="modal" href="#groupModal"></a>

I can add the href like you mentioned above, but how do I get the data-toggle in there?

Hi, you must call a modal with id “myModal” via javascript.
Example:
var show_model = function(target,element){
            $('#myModal').modal('show');
        };

var menu = {};
menu['google'] = {text:'Go to google',click:show_model};
$('#demo').contextMenu(menu);
document reference: http://twitter.github.com/bootstrap/javascript.html#modals

got it! awesome dude…

I’ve put a table on my bootstrap page using table from datatables.net, I want to enable user to click any row which then display context menu. Could this be done with your context menu?

Yes, you can do this with context menu.

Can this be used off of the top menu in bootstrap, if so can you show it in a demo??

Can this work with left click or hover?

Sorry not submenu but menu itself on left

Sorry, It is not possible.

Any possibility of menu opening on left instead of right now? I know I asked this question few months back too?

Hi I send a support request to know how to programmatically open the menu, have you received it?

I have sent you an email.

and the email just say ‘sorry I’m very busy’? what kind of support is this?

You request a new feature and ask me “can you please implement it?” but i can’t implement it now. so I only way answer is “Sorry”.

What is your reason for not selling the extended license?

Because I can’t set the extended license for each my product therefore i don’t selling the extended license

Hello,

Please help. How do destroy context menu and delete dom?

Sorry, It is not possible.

Update as possible? planning an upgrade at all?

yes, Update as possible but I don’t have plan do it, now.

Hi, I would like to use the beforeDisplay() callback to change menu icon/text. I have registered the callback and it’s triggered but not sure on how to change menu items. Extract of my code below…

var beforeCallback = function(target,element){ $(target) // something here..... } $('#id01').contextMenu('beforeDisplay', beforeCallback);

Greatful for help

Hi,

Thanks for your purchased.

Sorry, You can’t change menu icon/text.

I purchased this today. Can you explain how I would make it work on dynamically added content? Currently if I add a new content via ajax, it is ignored as a selector. Should I be using .on or some other way?

Hi,

Fist of all, thanks for your purchased but you can’t add menu dynamic menu item.

Sorry about that!

Hi, Possible to show div instead of use JS to build the menu? Thank you.

Regards,

Gordon

did you test this with a larger amount of menu items?

nevermind, I just did: your context menu doesn’t deal with overflows (also not in sub – menus) nor its having any keyboard support.
