can it publish to iOS and android store? what is the procedure?
The Cordova files serve that purpose. You need to set up Cordova https://cordova.apache.org/docs/en/latest/guide/cli/ Then, all needed files are inside the item. You navigate to them and type “cordova build android” or “cordova build ios”. If everything is set up as needed, this will create a .apk file (for Android) or an .ipa file (for iOS). I have already put the .apk file in the item. To build for iOS, though, you need Xcode (therefore an iMac), which I don’t have.
After you have your .apk file, you must sign it before trying to publish it. I’m not familiar with that, but you can find some information here https://developer.android.com/studio/publish/app-signing.html
For iOS, this might be helpful https://developer.apple.com/library/content/documentation/IDEs/Conceptual/AppDistributionGuide/SubmittingYourApp/SubmittingYourApp.html
Can a basic chat between players be added?
Yeah, that’s the “Hello World” of Node.js. It’s very easy to do.
You need an input field to type and some HTML element in which to display the chat.
When you type a message and click a send button, this should be called on the client side:
Then, on the server, you should have an event handler for “send”
io.emit("receive", data); // data is the message in this case
After that, on the client side you should have an event handler for “receive”
document.getElementById("para").innerHTML = data;
And that’s it! The client sends an event with some data to the server, the server receives it, sends it to all other users connected, and then those users receive it.
It’s shown in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dOSIqJWQkXM I watched that when I first started with Node.js. It’s bit tricky once you start, but after you practice and play around a little, it gets real easy!
That’s great! Thanks for sharing. Is this something you would consider implementing?
A share score with Facebook would be a good idea as well.
Well, there isn’t exactly a score to share. And a chat would be redundant for such a game, it isn’t that lengthy or cooperative. If it were a MMORPG, that would be a no-brainer. However, if a buyer demands any of that functionality, I’ll add it, yeah. Thanks for the suggestions, though!
Hi, how easy is this to install on a vps? thanks.
Ummm, I don’t know, I’ve never done it. I guess it’s not so complicated. You just need to have Node.js installed and run the index.js file in the command line.
Any file is html5 src – doc
are you here
Oops, I’m sorry. Can you explain what you need? I don’t understand the question.
Have you considered adding a Facebook login and share score to Facebook?
