How to make effects “responsive”

Assuming your site is already responsive, it will probably have some CSS media queries where you can adjust the font-size for the effect. Here’s an example:

@media screen and (max-width: 640px) {

    .cj-fx {

        font-size: 12px;

    }

}

Then in the JavaScript portion of the html file, add a window resize effect like this:

<!-- Kicks off the TextFX2 Animation -->
<script type='text/javascript'>

    jQuick(document).ready(function() {

        // main animate function that you'll see in the original script
        var fx = jQuick('.cj-fx').cjFx('animate');

        // window resize
        jQuick(window).on('resize', function() {

            // just stop and restore
            // fx.cjFx('stop');

            // stop, restore, and reanimate
            fx.cjFx('stop').cjFx('animate');

        });

    }, ['Open+Sans+Condensed:700']);

</script>
