Hi again Luca! Went ahead with the purchase, just as expected – fantastic. Thank you so much for this admin theme, it really helps remove all the unfriendly distractions and helps put the focus on content. Thank you
Hey james! That’s great to hear, thank you! If there’s anything I can help you with, just let me know
First of all, before reporting the new issue, I would like to thank you for releasing the new update and for fixing up the old set of bugs.
As for this thread, I will dedicate it to the new issue.
When deleting any plugin or theme, not all options gets erased from the database or the server. The top coded plugins and themes usually run a destructor to clean up all the options before the deletion of the plugin.
Note: The name “destructor” is primarily used in other programming languages. In WordPress context, it is called an uninstall hook or method.
As implied from above, your plugin does not clean up the generated options after its deletion. In other words, it does not use any hooks for uninstalling the options. As a result, your new update did not solve “completely” the issue on my site since the plugin is still loading the options from the old records instead of the new ones. Not to mention that for best practices, any plugin or theme should not keep any records on the server after its deletion.
I have attached a screenshot that highlights all the options that are getting remained after the deletion of the plugin. Those results have been analyzed using the “Smart Options Optimizer” premium plugin. There are also some free plugins on the market that can analyze such stuff.

Note: In the image above, only the checked options are the relevant ones in our case.

As always, thank you for your time and work. I really hope you can address this issue in your next upcoming release. I would also be delighted to give you an awesome honest review on here and recommend your theme to all of my clients.
Thank you for the extended report. You make a good point and I will address the issue.
For now, you can reset the menu functions by clicking the “Reset to default” button. In the meantime, I will work on a destructor.
Thank you very much for your fast reply.
I’ll be tuned for the updates.
All the best!
I hope you are doing well.
The hyperlink color of your theme is dark blue. It looks extremely similar to black. Thus, when viewing the dashboard, it is becoming very hard to distinguish the links from the normal text.
The color (#364052) is not very clear as it is similar to black. I highly recommend you to pick another color or remove the line completely to load the default WordPress style.
This is just a suggestion based on clarity. As far as I am concerned, I have adjusted it by myself from the code. Before doing that though, I had to delete the option tables to load the newly customized one. That’s due to the lack of a destructor.
I’m tuned for the new upcoming version with the destructor.
As always, thank you for your time and work.
I just bought the plugin and when I try to activate, wordpress returns the message:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[’ in /home/myszka666/domains/inwestycjewinternecie.pl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/tamed-admin-theme/tamed-admin-theme.php on line 213
How can I fix it?
Can you send a new version?
I just send in a new version of the plugin(2.5.9). This should fix your error. If not, let me know and i’ll have another look!
Hi @lucawater, I am having the same issue as @ruchprojetos (see above) with the parsing error on line 213 of ‘tamed-admin-theme.php’ every time I try and activate the plugin.
Is there a way to upload the updated plugin without losing the settings of the previous version?
I cannot remove Comment, it shows it but no remove button. Please advise.
I don’t really understand what you mean. I can not imagine this plugin is the cause of breaking functionality like that, but you never know. Can you explain the problem more specifically, preferably with screenshots?
Aha, like that! Thanks for the update, i’ll have a look!
Some menu items do not disappear after selecting remove, 6 in total.
And some I cannot rename. Please advise.
Could you tell me which menu items specifically are giving you problems?
Shield, FWD Simple Coverflow, Ultimate, etc
Hi There, Love the look of this theme – just wondering when ultisite support will become available?
Rally like this theme. When will multisite support be available?
Still no answer? Are this product still being updated?
Does the theme work with Multisite? Is it compatible with PHP 7? And can the Menus be managed by roles? Thank you in advance!
