This will work with any wordpress template ? What is Cornerstone ?
Cornerstone is a page builder plugin by Themeco it is bundled with X theme: https://theme.co/cornerstone/
Great work! I am not using this plugin as a portfolio, but as an aggregate portal of my gated marketing content. I want to list all images on one page, tag each accordingly, and filter them using tags (not typing). But for each image, I need to add a title above it and description and a link below it. Also, I need to be able to specify the URL of each link. Also I want each image to be tagged by multiple categories. For example, a thumbnail image could be a screenshot of a product video demo. Therefore, it will be tagged as both “video” and “product demo”. When either tag is clicked, this thumbnail remains unfiltered. But when a “whitepaper” tag link is clicked, this thumbnail is disappeared.
Can I do that?
Yes, if you can set AND/OR relation as well. So if you have an image which tagged with “video” and “product demo” as well it will be unfiltered when “video” OR “product demo” filter applied. Actually this is the default behavior, and you can set AND relation if you connect the filter with each other (in your case you can leave it as default).
What about adding a title above the image and description and a link below it, and specify the URL of each link? Similar to this page: http://www.ibm.com/smarterplanet/us/en/?ca=v_smarterplanet
In your example, filters are through typing, can I click per-defined tags instead?
Of course you can use checkboxes/ radio buttons with predefined values and we will add font awesome icons in the next release as well.
Thank you, What about adding a title above the image and description and a link below it, and specify the URL of each link? Similar to this page: http://www.ibm.com/smarterplanet/us/en/?ca=v_smarterplanet
Of course you can put anything around the images, the only thing what you need to set “search_in” to the container, eg ”.ibm-inner-margin” in the IBM example.
Hi SWTE, i just purchased the plugin, and uploaded to my WP site. Where do i find the configration to create a page with filterable content?
Do I have to buy the plugin from http://codecanyon.net/item/swift-filter-jquery-content-filter/13065483 to make it work? Thank you!
No you don’t need the jquery version, because this version is already includes it.
You can add the filter with Cornerstone pagebuilder: http://i.imgur.com/6KUYfZx.png
Do you have X theme?
I don’t have Cornerstone pagebuilder. BTW, I am not using any cornestone related theme. Hope it clarifies. Thank you
In that case I think you need the Visual Composer version (http://codecanyon.net/item/swift-filter-visual-composer-ready/13179191) or the jQuery version instead.
Please contact to Envato for a refund and buy the VC or the jQuery version
Does Visual Composer work by itself to achieve my requirement, or I will still need Swift Filter – Cornerstone Extension? Thank you
Yes, you need only the Visual Composer version
Hi Swte, thanks for your support, i am going to purchase the Visual Composer version shortly, and see you there
You are welcome
Hello, can I sort items by class name? If so, how?
I am using the Cornerstone plug in, btw. I’d also like to know how to create a drop down with a selection of different filters. Thank you!
The current version can’t sort the items, it can only filter them. You can filter in the text, or you can use data-keyword attribute for hidden elements.
You can create dropdowns if you choose the dropdown for the filter type and you can specify the key-value pairs in the Values text box, eg:
I have some pre-purchase questions:
Thanks so much!
This plugin can filter only the visible content on your page, it doesn’t use ajax.
You can filter in the visible text or can add “data-keyword” attribute to your HTML elements. You also can use hidden elements for filtering. If you can add hidden elements or data attributes to your grid elements with Custom post types UI it will work.
Currently we can’t provide a test version, but you can check the plugin in action on the demo page: http://swiftfilter.swte.ch/
This version is working with Cornerstone plugin only which comes with X theme
Thanks a lot.
Hi. Just installed but it does not appear under elements in Cornerstone. Is there anything else I need to do than just activate it? Your demosite only shows for Visual Composer…?
It should appear in elements. Can you give a wp-admin access to check it? Please send it to email@example.com
Is it possible to use this to create two filters that cross each other? For example, a set of white papers may have different topics? I want to categorise them all as white papers but then sub-categorise them as about different topics.
Sorry for delay.
You can connect filters, so both of them will applied on content. That means the filters will have AND relation
Hello – would it be possible to use this plugin to create two filters? I want to use this for my company resource centre. I want visitors to be able to filter by topic first and THEN filter those results by format, such as PDF and video. Is this possible?
Sorry for delay. Yes, you can connect filters to each other, so they will filter the content with AND relation
Hello. Will the plugin work with Listify theme?
Yes, of course it is compatible with any theme.
A pre sale question, is your plugin compatible with WPML plugin?
Thanks in advance
Yes of course it is.
Hi, how is it possible to separate the items in a list without the tag on the end. Everytime i try to use the list element, it formats the itmes with the -tag
can you send an link to check it please?
This plugin looks awesome.
My only question is, if I want to be able to filter products by category can I chose which category appears when the page first loads or would I have to have all products load and then let the client select the category they’d like to filter?
Hi how can i get it work under Visual composer?
It is a Cornerstone extension, unfortunately you can’t use it in Visual composer
is version for visual composer too, and is possible full hide filtered result (instead opacity)?
At the moment there isn’t visual composer extension for this, but yes you can use fadeOut instead fadeTo to hide the filtered result
