How can I remove “sushichat” from the URL or change this to my own preferred slug? It would be helpful if you answered this question (which I see has been asked many times before) publicly, with instructions.
Currently it’s not possible with the system and knowledge of PHP is required. Sushi chat uses the register_post_type function https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/register_post_type
You can find this function in use in the inc/register-post-type.php file. Currently Sushi chat does not overwrite WordPress slug so you will need to overwrite it manually.

Beside group chat, I don’t see NO one on one private chat? Does it have it?
Why do I see couple of media (youtude) on the right side where the TIME locate, what area is that?

Private chat is available. You can do by clicking on the user list icon and then clicking on a user.

CPU resource varies. I can’t give an exact number at this time.

Question 2, A mean there’s like an expand panel, Full screen for the group chat, but what is the purpose for half screen? Is not like you can type in it which I tried it?
Also, is there a clear database feature, so it wouldn’t over load it from all the previous history input?

I’m looking for a webinar-styled group chatroom for my WordPress website and found Sushi Chat. Before purchasing, I had a few questions:
1. Can the sound be turned off?
2. Does it support group chats and, if so, how many users can participate at any one time?
3. Can the chatroom be embedded and limited to one particular page or post?

1. On the bottom right corner you’ll find a button to turn off the sound.
2. Just chat rooms at the moment. You can have unlimited amount of people in your chat as long as your server supports it.
3. The chat can be posted anywhere on your site that supports short codes. This includes posts/pages.

Users who register through Facebook, their avatars do not show up in the chat. Any idea why?

I just installed Sushi Chat and noticed that it conflicts with the Gallery element in the Avia Advanced Layout Editor of my Enfold Theme (by Kriesi); specifically, it interferes with the thumbnails and on-page alignment of the Gallery element. The thumbnails that previously showed across the bottom of a large image were now ‘stacked’ on top of each other in the upper left corner of the large image and the large image itself was dropped down on the webpage and layered under other elements (e.g. text).
It would be nice to have a solution as Sushi Chat is a great plugin that I would like to use with YouTube Live to create a webinar page on my website. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Stats are: WordPress 4.6.x, Enfold Theme 3.8, Sushi Chat 1.3.0. Upon deactivation of the Sushi Chat plugin (and only that plugin) the issue went away.

Good day, I would like to add 2 custom roles to the chat. How would i go about this. I have good PHP knowledge
You can edit the plugin manually. Edit the file sushichat/inc/admin/chat-center.mb.php file and you’ll find the roles manually set. You just add yours in the option and you should be good to go.
Hi there, is there a specific capability required and when adding to the chat-center.mb.php file should the roles be name or slug? I’ve tried both ways and both my roles have manage_options cap. I’ve tried user role editor and manually creating roles in functions and still cant get it too show. the admin and wp standard roles work.
Both my roles have 2 part names (Custom Role). I’ve tried custom_role, Custom Role, Custom_Role, Custom-Role.
The custom role should be the name. I suggest you do not use spaces as results may vary. The name is also case-sensitive.
Calling roles should always be in slug format so there is no confusion; Because we have custom defined roles on an existing site with many members there is no simple way to add this plugin.. since we use spaces in our role names. I have tried case sensitive, spaces, underscores, dashes and slug and none work for my any of my roles. this includes roles defined in functions and using Role Editor plugin.
Please could i have a solution to this. possible that i could have an updated code that supports slug on user roles as a space is always set as underscore in slug and lower case..less confusion.
Unfortunately, I do not have a solution for you. This plugin only uses the default roles at the moment. Custom roles are not supported and it has to be added manually.
i like this plugin but I have a concern, I have many users on the website and when one chats with the other they don’t always have website open… Is there a chance you would consider adding a email notification system too? So users know quicker when they get a message if they do not have the website open?

I have an issue with user role management. When I exclude Guest from chat access no one can access it (of course other roles are being marked and I test it on an account with suitable user role).

I test the demo and i saw the respond really slow.. can this be improved? and is it compatible with userpro plugin to show profiles?
The demo is a bit slow because I have quite a few things hosted so I set the refresh time to be low. The speed of the chat depends on your host. As for userpro, it is not compatible with the profiles.
