Hi, is it possible for the images to link to external urls rather than just loading a larger version of the image? Best, Frazer

Hi. Sure, that’s possible.

Hello, pre-sale questions. I am interested in the carousel (example 2) of Slider Pro.

Is it possible to enable left-right scrolling with keyboard arrows <- and ->?

Can the height of the scroller be higher (I guess so…)?

Can the text below each slider and the navigation dots be removed?

Thank you.

That feature is not built-in into the slider, but it can be added. You can find the code here.

Hello, Just bought the plugin. Wonderful! Could you please tell me where I have to add the code contained in the page you linked? And why not making is as a standard feature? Thank you.

Hi,

You need to copy that code snippet to the jquery.sliderPro.min.js file (wp-content/plugins/sliderpro/public/assets/js/), after the existing code.

My site is running PHP v5.2. Will Slider Pro run with this old version of PHP?

Hi,

Yes, I’ve tested it with PHP 5.2.17 and it’s working fine.

Hello, presales query…first please see ybpcosmetics.com , the first picture with the text and down arrow is what I want to create. Just one picture, with text and and arrow that goes to next section, and responsive so on Desktop full image is shown. On Tablet/Mobile, the sides of the image get cropped, and/or option to load another image for mobile. Also that handles Landscape mode well. Basically I need to make sure Image and Text look good on any device and orientation. But the main thing needs to be speed, I need a fast loading slide…Can your plugin do these things? Please let me know, thanks!

Hello, thanks for the honest info! But the main thing is that when reducing screen width, the sides of the image get cropped, and full height of image is retained. Like I don’t want the original dimensions of the image to be same across different devices…in my picture, the subject is in the middle of the photo and the sides are blank background…would a slider not be the right choice for this functionality?

...also in the future I may want to add other images

If you’re sure you will add more images, then you need a slider, but for just one image, a slider would be overkill.

Can I use this plugin in posts to replace the default native Wordpress [gallery] shortcode with the Slider Pro gallery format?

It appears you can attach all images uploaded to a post. Can you specify which attached post images you’d like to show instead of all images? Can you have multiple sliders within the same post made from selected images uploaded to the post? Or back to my original question, can I activate this plugin and have the default native Wordpress [gallery] shortcodes in my post automatically replaced with the Slider Pro gallery format?

Hi,

It’s possible to load images from a WordPress [gallery] into the slider, but this can’t be done automatically; first, you will need to add the [sliderpro] shortcode in the same page with the [gallery]. However, you can only add a gallery slider per post, because the slider will take all the images from all the galleries you have in the post and load them into a single slider.

I am interested in having this feature developed, where you can add a standard [gallery ids=”...”] native shortcode, and the Slider Pro layout takes over, with multiple galleries accepted per page. Can your plugin be further improved to include this functionality? For whatever reason, there are not so many plugins that work off the native [gallery] shortcode, and all of them have limitations. This added functionality would for sure make Slider Pro the best out there.

Thank you for the suggestion! It’s certainly a feature worth considering, but I can’t promise it will be released in the near future.

Best,
David

Is it possible to have thumbnail images in another row?

Hi,

You can’t separate the thumbnails from the slides, unless you create some space between them with CSS.

David
