I get this message with cloner.php:

Warning: shell_exec() has been disabled for security reasons in /www/htdocs/w01287a6/cms.wp-deals.de/cloner.php on line 11

You need to have the PHP function shell_exec() enabled on the server. You can ask you hosting to do this. If you have shell access on a VPS or dedicated server you can make the change to the php configuration file php.ini

Alternatively, my personal favorite option, is to set up and use your own Linux server at home and run this from Virtualbox(free), a Raspberry Pi, or any other computer for which Linux is installed.

I will help you with all of the steps to go forward.

Let me explain why you need to run shell_exec(). This function allows you to use Linux packages and commands for which the user has permission. With cloner.php, the shell_exec() function uses the httrack service to make the clone. The documentation explains how to set up httrack with various Linux packages so you can add a url and voila… you receive a cloned website.
