Hi! i want to buy your module for my store, but i need this to work on the search page too, as to say, if there is only one result on the search page, then it should show the product page. Ill wait for your answer!
This can be done! After you purchase the script, send us a message with your email address via our profile page so that we can send you the modified XML file to use.
We have updated our demo page located here:
If you search for “Samsung” you will see two products on the search page.
If you search for “iPhone” you will be redirected to the product page as there is only one result that appears for that search.
hello, you buy the module, I could send the modified file please?
Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can send you the file.
Im in real need of this extension, has this been tested on Version 188.8.131.52?
Yes, this module does work on 184.108.40.206 without any problems or modifications.
buying now thank you
Paid for and uploaded…Works Perfect!!!! Thank you
Glad to hear it! Feel free to reach out if you run into any problems with later version of OpenCart. Though we do try to always release new versions when needed so make sure you subscribe to be notified of any changes to the script through the “Downloads” section of your Envato account.
I would like to buy this extension but my requirement is as such…
Have got one category that needs to get redirected to another webpage…I just need to show some sort of transition redirection page and take the user to another page…
Please lemme know if thats possible…
Unfortunately, that is not possible with this module. This module simply takes you directly to the product page when the visitor clicks on a category name with only that one product in there, effectively bypassing that interim category page where the user would have to click on the single product still.
Please let us know if we misread the desired functionality and results you are looking for.
Hi I have opencart 1.5.6 Will this work on this version? I also need the single product in the search box also.
We do have a version of this script that works with 1.5.6 and also supports the “Search” feature. We are currently working to upload this version to CodeCanyon, however if you would like to go ahead and purchase a license and contact us via email, we can go ahead and send you the updated file.
Version 1.1.0 of the script has been sent to your email. Thank you for your purchase!
Im having some problems making this work. I uploaded the xml but the category page is still not redirected to the product page. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance!
Will you please email us at email@example.com with a link to your site and, if you have vQmod Manager installed please include any of the information contained within the error log window, or indicate if there are no errors shown there.
Great extension which does work. My only issue has been that it stops working when I switch on Search Engine Friendly (SEF) urls in OpenCart. Are you aware of this issue? If so is there a workaround?
Are you using the built-in search engine friendly URLs within OpenCart store settings, or do you have an aftermarket module that you are using for that?
We have used this module on several stores, both with and without the search engine friendly URL settings provided by OpenCart, without a problem.
If you are using an aftermarket SEO module that is converting your URLs for you we would have to look at that module and see what changes it is making that may interfere with our module.
Please advise so we can further assist.
Also, if you are using the vQmod Manager plugin, try clearing your vQmod Cache right after enabling the SEF URLs in the OpenCart admin and see if that remedies the problem. We have seen the cache interfere in several strange ways before, but a quick clearing can fix any issues should it be related to that.
Thanks for the quick reply. It’s the built-in search engine friendly URLs I’m using.
I’m not using vQmod Manager but did just try switching the SEFs back on again. Then using FTP I deleted all cache files vqmod/vqcache, and checked again in the front end. The system had reverted back to not redirecting straight to individual products, instead going to category pages.
I then switched SEFs off again, and all is now working as expected (i.e. if a product is clicked on then the user redirects straight to the product). So the issue is definitely SEF related.
Could you please let us know which version of OpenCart you are running, as well as a URL to your site. You’re welcome to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you do not want to put this information public.
OK I’ve emailed you directly on this…
For anyone who experiences this type of issue. The solution is that once SEFs are switched on you also need to add SEO keywords to the categories data tabs too…
I’m so happy to hear everything is resolved and running as expected! Thank you for sharing that helpful information about the Search Engine Friendly URLs as well. If you ever have any other trouble, please feel free to let us know.
Does this work with the most recent version, being 2+? Please show a demo, your site is not coming up.
This module DOES work with the new OpenCart 2.0+ version. We are currently in the process of moving hosting providers for our demo systems and hope to have them back up in the next day or two. If you have any problems installing, we will be more than happy to help and get everything up and running for you.
