can i have some example, or clue how to use them? thanks for advance

You can do this like you inhirate any other class, standard way.

I’ve looked at all this (most of it does nothing) and still don’t understand what it is trying to do. Please explain in more detail. Thanks

That was documentation of how you can perform database operation without running queries directly. Let me know what exactly you want to do. Thanks

hi,

how to use; SELECT * FROM opinions WHERE MATCH AGAINST (‘nice language’)

as query? i need to make a search but like_cols is not working for text

It should be $sdb->like_cols=array(“rdate”=>” $rs4 “, “rating”=>” $rs5 “);

great it works thanks

Great :)

Just bought, nice class so far, thanks for your work. When running a limit x,y query (with a where clause), I need to also return the total rows for the full query. $sdb->rows_returned of course returns 10. What is your suggestion for the most efficient way to get the total rows? Does it need to be a separate result set e.g. $result1 based on Count(*) and then I parse that in? Any better way?

I think you are writing code for pagination. Yes, it will require running 2 separate queries, one for total and other for limit. Thanks

Exactly. OK, thanks

Any easy way to output the debug output $sdb->query to a text file?

You can easily write on text file using write file php functions.

It appears when including a where clause that $sdb->query shows the positional placeholders (question marks). Is there a way to see exactly what SQL is getting executed?

We have used parameter binding query execution in PDO as it’s most safest way to run queries, Placeholders are used in that and they are replaced by PDO internally. so it’s not possible directly. You can also print values to get ? values.

Did not see an example in the PDO select documentation on the exact syntax to use to engage the BETWEEN clause. However in the class itself there is a comment in line 39 illustrating it as: e.g. $sdb->between_columns=array(“col1”=>val1,”col1”=>val2); – however in my testing this does not work, instead what does work is e.g. $sdb->between_columns=array(“col1”=>val1,val2); – can you confirm?

Thanks. How about the multiple between statements?

Hi, its same way. Just call it multiple times

The multiple BETWEEN calls are not working for me. It is always applying only the last call. I can see this in the $sdb->query as well. Can you test on your end and confirm?

Need help;

When you dbInsert, and if defined value is missing in array script is not inserting db, how to fix it?

Sorry, I am not able to understand your question. If you are not passing value then how insert will work?

How does i code this in simplifiedDB

$db->exec("SET @num := 0; UPDATE hold SET hold_ID = @num := (@num+1);");

Hi,

You can do like this

$query = “SET @num := 0; UPDATE hold SET hold_ID = @num := (@num+1); ”;

$sdb->dbExecuteQuery($query);

Thanks

Hi. we have many duplicate records in our database and currently we are using mysql distinct to return unique results. i’m wondering if Simplified DB support The SELECT DISTINCT Statement? thank you

Yes, it supports. Any query can be run using the execute query operation. Thanks

last update Last Update 22 December 13 do you had made any changes and where we can see latest features

Hi,

Yes, last update was on 22 Dec with most of the features added. If you need only PDO then you can buy my new script.
