This is great and easy to use plugin. Just solved my issue in a few clicks. Thanks!
Thanks for the appreciation!
That’s exactly what i was looking for. Great solution for controlling search over the website.
Thank you for purchasing our plugin. We hope you will have good experience using Search Manager plugin.
Hello, do you have an example website where I can test the search plugin?
For now we have no demo site with this plugin.
Can we notify you when it will be ready?
We are happy to notify you that demo site with this plugin is ready!
I am wondering who bought this plugin without seeing real live demo!!!!
Thank you for contacting us!
For now we have no demo site with this plugin. But it should be launched soon.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us any time.
We have launched demo site for this plugin! We would appreciate if you check it out.
your Plugin might solve a big problem I have – getting independant searches to work in the blog part of my website & another one in the WooCommerce part of my site.
Question: Will the search results of the blog part display on a blog / search results page, while the products search results are shown on a shop site? (Because I have set my system to show different headers in earch area of the site, and the visitor should end up in the correct area when searching.
I’m using flatsome, which already seems to tweak the search a little. (Normally it makes the WP search only search products, but you can set a checkmark so that it also searches products.
Do you think that your Plugin is independant enough of these flatsome settings that it works for this theme? Any experiences?
I’d love to try if it works. In case not, is a refund possible or do you have a trial version?
Thanks a lot & have a great day,
Thank you for your comment!
Basically our plugin is designed for another purpose. It allows you to manage your search queries, create redirects for them, see search stats etc.
You can see how this plugin works on our demo site – http://demo.searchmanagerwp.com/
Just click login and you will be pointed to admin dashboard.
Regarding to your questions:
Our plugin works independently of any theme you have installed.
By default WordPress + WooCommerce have 2 types of search: default WordPress search and search by products from WooCommerce plugin – http://prntscr.com/bd1rds
WooCommerce search has separate layout and technically it adds “&post_type=product” parameter to the search URL.
Via our plugin you can exclude products from main WordPress search if you need – http://prntscr.com/bd1srp
Please let us know if it solves your problem and do not hesitate to contact us any time.
Hi, I would like to know if your plugin will search for the SKU’s of variable products. On a variable product, a SKU # is left blank in the main area, and each individual variable, has its own sku, price, color, etc.. Can that be configured with your plug in? The variable product is a built in feature of woocommerce. Thank you very much!!
Thank you for interest in our plugin!
Unfortunately for now there are no search by variable products SKU.
But we are planning to add this feature in next release.
pre purchase query: can I search custom fields with this?
Thank you for your interest in our plugin!
Unfortunately there are no option for this.
For some reason autocomplete is not working, search field do not suggest product names.
¿Should I have to do anything in order it work?
Please notice that product only contains name (a code) and the SKU (the same code as the name), there is no description.
Please send us more details (screens, urls etc) to firstname.lastname@example.org so we can help you.
Thank you for interest in our product!
Our plugin does NOT modify any template.
To achieve your goal you need to edit your theme templates and add some css styles.
lil’ pre-sale question.. can I remove out of stock products from the search results with this?
Thank you for your question!
Unfortunately there are no such feature for now.
BTW you can manage this manually via woocommerce settings – http://prntscr.com/cz3f26
But plugin does NOT remove out of stock products from search automatically.
We’ll check this ability and if it’s possible we’ll add it in future releases.
Hello, do you plan to integrate with Google CSE or similar service that will allow me to search and show results from 2 wordpress installations in different domains? Similar to https://codecanyon.net/item/google-custom-search-for-wordpress-plugin/5914335
Looks like this functionality is out of scope of this plugin. So I can’t promise this will be implemented in this item.
Very Nice work:)
Thank you! Have a nice day
Just installed it. Noticed 2 pages of Chinese search crap within the first couple of minutes. Is there any way to get rid of it?
I didn’t understand what do you mean. Can you please send us screenshot and detailed description of this issue?
You can use support form to keep further discussion private.
thanks for the speedy reply! I installed the plugin, and within two minutes there were two pages logged withf searches from chinese sites. I obviously deleted them all. There’s one left. See here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/5994tipb4kwrrb0/AACAC9d8GiXbr7sLVWsVBhlZa?dl=0
I also noticed that checking the box that would mark all entries didn’t mark them, so I had to mark them manually one by one.
PS: My site seems to get spam-searched by some Chinese idiots, so my question would be: how can I prevent this, because otherwise I have way too much garbage in the backend search terms list.
PPS: Please add an IP column or other identifier, so that I can take steps to exclude the spam searches from my site.
Ignore the “Mark all” issue. That’s working now. Chinese search spam still coming..
PS: If I search for “pdf download”, I get my 404 / Nirvana page. Other searches work.
Can you please contact us via support form and send us a link and screenshots of the issue?
We need to check this.
The screenshots are in the dropbox link.
When trying to delete all the Chinese crap, I get this
“Request-URI Too Large – The requested URL’s length exceeds the capacity limit for this server.”
WIthout a feature to block/filter searches right at the beginning, the plugin is of little/no use. Please consider implementing this, but I will also suggest this to the theme developer, so that something like a captcha is added before submitting a search.
Thanks for idea!
Please contact your server administrator regarding this.
Why don’t you add a simple filter that prevents searches with non-ASCII characters, or rather limits searches and the resulting db storage to ASCII characters, and even have a throttle because the searches come in bulk. I mean, if the plugin it to be worth anything to the webmaster, you need to make as sure as you can that the arriving data is clean. I have blocked some IPs, but no such luck, because your plugin doesn’t show from which IP the actual search came.
We will add IP column in the next release!
