Hello – nice app! is there a search option to search for recipes within the app? thanks.

Hi. Thank you. Glad you like it. No, this version currently doesn’t include a search function, it could in the next update.

saw search option was added – is there a screenshot of this I can see? thanks!

Yes, screenshots will be updated soon on the product page. But it’s just a simple searchbar under the navigation bar, like in any other apps.

This looks great. Have you thought about adding “Shopping cart” feature. Where receipe ingreadiants would be past over to a checklist? Someone, already mentioned, but “Search” is a must. I’d consider adding social icons and documenting “embedding links” in the recipe. Essentially, this could be comparable to “Jamie Oliver’s app”. Best of luck!

P.S. Change the icon, it’s “not great” and I’ve ignored the listing first few times when scrolling through the list :)

Hopefully end of this week. Stay tuned.

I want to buy this, but I am waiting for the update. If I would start editing current template would I need to change a lot, to keep it up to date? By the way, how are you storing the data CoreData / UserDefaults?

Hey, it’s almost release ready, just need to change a few things. Not really there will be only minor changes in the UI and a new datasource, that’s all. Nope, none of that. I just stored them archived via NSCoding, no need for CoreData for such a small project.

Hello, thanks for the App. I tried to install pod but I got: “-bash: pod: command not found” please advise

Hi. You don’t have Cocoapods installed on your Mac, please follow this url to learn how to install: https://cocoapods.org

From couple of seconds could go all the way to couple of minutes. But should be fast.

really but it taking a lot of time i moved the folder to desktop and also chnage the source code folder to source …does it causing the delay of process???

Don’t think so.

Hi, I’m not sure why it is not downloading.. You could try skipping Cocoapods for Backendless and implement it manually, check out their site for instructions how to, or see this github link: https://github.com/Backendless/ios-SDK

How to add images to backendless.com. As the .zip files imported have no images in it..Plus I have imported and can’t get images only the names of recipies

I want to edit files UIViewController.h But I can not do it, which I do lock. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BwzXnwlPRu3ZcTZkcFBhUFktam8

You cannot edit those classes. Just create a subclass of UIViewController to make adjustments.

Hi, Is there a way to add my own audio file or video file or a youtube video to the recipes?

Hi. Sure, you need to extend your objects to have audio/video file and either upload it with your app locally (not recommended), or uploading it to the server, or provide a url for your video if it’s stored elsewhere like vimeo.

Im not a techie person. How difficult is it?

It requires some programming so I’d definitely hire or pay for a developer to do it.

HI, when I try to open a terminal in the project, you get it. Although I did install Pods as written on the site((

Hi, How did you run Cocoapods in Terminal? By “pod install”? If so, it should’ve generated the workspace file that you should work in. If not, you missed something. Please go to https://cocoapods.org.

I’ve tried numerous ways and from the site which you gave me. But like with Siri OSX it doesn’t work(( I don’t know how else to properly do the installation.

Hello, I sent you an email Thank you very much.

Hi, could you please send it again, I don’t think I received it.

Hi, I sent Thank you

Hi,

1) How do you add new recipe, is it an xml document or is it a better system?

2) Do you take freelance jobs if I buy this app?

Hi,

1. Currently the project is setup to use local (json files) and to use a backend service, in this case backendless.com.

2. Yes.

Okay, is it easy to add recipes compared to xml? Xmls is often very unorganized to add a lot of data in

I set it up the easiest way. It works with folders, just like in Finders. You have one folder for a collection of recipes (e.g.: Cookies), within that collection there are folders for each recipe. Each recipe is defined by a .json file and an image that is placed in that folder.

So to create a new recipe, you need to edit the .json file and put the image of the recipe inside the folder, than add it to an existing Collection, or create a new one.
