Hi there, sorry the plugin did not meet your expectations but we give everyone a chance to test full functionality before purchase. We also allow refunds. We never received an email from you to discuss what issues you had, this rating is the first we're hearing of it which is a shame because we pride ourselves on our customer service and could have solved the problem for you.
Not very good. A client can pay by check, but then you can't mark an invoice as paid!
The client login doesn't work well. When you create the client, it doesn't send them an email to create a password and you cant do it either. you have to leave to the user tab and do it from there BUT if you create the client in the user tab, it will not recognize the user as a client.
Also, permissions are bad. Only and admin can manage invoices, no levels.
Limited payment options. If you look in the comments they've said for years they'd do recurring payment system and they didn't
Thanks for taking the time to give this feedback. We know there are things to improve and they are being worked on. Overall the plugin works quite well for a majority of cases, but nothing is perfect I suppose.
I already gave a 1 star review, but I would give a 0 (if I could) to this plugin after the authors response due to his impoliteness and rudeness. Author claims he explained to me by email how to fix the bug, but the thing is that : 1- I've never contacted him for anything 2- This bug shouldn't be there in the first place. What a delusional jackass.

As a customer, I can give whatever rating I want if I'm not satisfied with the product. When I did that, you replied with an incorrect statement and you even said I couldn't follow instructions you provided me. I had to put you back on track, cause I never contacted you beforehand. I would report you too, no need. You shot yourself in the foot, thing delusional people do when they loose control.
Very simple product with limited options to set default values or create company invoice profiles/templates. We trade in the UK with a VAT tax rate of 20% but this has to be entered manually into every invoice, and when entering individual items you have to enter the ex-VAT price since the script will automatically add on an extra 20% (no option to enter product prices with the tax included and have the default rate calculated into the subtotal).
It probably does the job if you want a barebones invoice system with some sort of database storage, but if you want custom auto-numbering invoices, default values and other conveniences then I didn't find that in this script - at $40 it was expensive enough that I leave this review because that money isn't coming back - if it was like $12 I would have kept the script without complaint but at this price point its a bit of a con.
We actually believe $40 is very cheap for the amount of time and effort that as gone into this product, as well as the value our users receive from it. Any other invoicing system will charge more than $40 PER MONTH so I think Quip Invoices is a great deal.
As for your other comments I believe you may have misunderstood how the plugin works. This is definitely our fault and we must improve how the plugin acts to make it more obvious but you can certainly achieve what you want using Quip Invoices.
