First off, great plugin! Was exactly what I was looking for and is very clean good with a lot of hooks and notes! The only issue I am running into is when you go to create a new invoice, it creates the invoice but then you have to go to the invoice in the list and hit send to send the invoice notification to the client. Is there a way to make it so when the invoice is created it automatically send the invoice email?
Also, where in the line of code can I make it so the invoices display so the newest invoice is on top. I know it is in include/tables/quip-invoices-table-invoices.php but order by is currently set to DESC so I’m not sure why it would be switched around.

Lots of technical questions there, it’s probably better to deal with via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. But in short, yes it’s always possible to change the behavior of the plugin if you’re willing to dig in and write some PHP code but out of the box the plugin does not offer those changes you are asking for.
Sending an invoice on creation is usually not the desired functionality for a majority of our users and there are no options within the plugin to set this to happen.
I do agree on the invoice ordering, I will look into it as it should probably put the newest invoices at the top as you say.

Hello, Where I can insert client VAT Number and then this appears in PDF or Email?
There is a notes section you can fill in to add any extra information such as VAT number. All sections are shown in the PDF and email.

The invoice doesnt send to mail. I got (php mail() / sendmail / postfix etc.) on my hosting, so it must to be something wrong in the mail setup. do i need to setup the emial in somewhere else? thanks
The plugin mail just uses the WordPress built-in mailer so first thing to do is check that is working. A good place to check (if you’re able) is the mail logs on your web server (usually /var/log/mail) and see if there are any error messages.
As I said, the plugin does nothing special other than one line of code to send email that works as long as the underlying web server is configured correctly so please take a look at that first.

Is it possible that the invoices are completely private? I don’t want them to show up without the proper login credentials, not even the pdf version.
The invoices are private. You’re unable to see the invoices without a login. Clients can only see invoices with a unique hidden URL that you send to them.

Also could you add a function to mark an invoice as paid? I won’t be using online payments for some invoices.
There is already a function to do so. You can manually add payments for any invoice which will mark the invoice as paid. This is to support offline payments like cash, check, phone etc.
great! 2 more suggestions is:
1. add a “mark as paid” button to the invoices
2. Give the option to choose “other” as payment option, because now we need to choose stripe or paypal. Yes if you leave it empty it wont work but the pay online button is still present in the pdf. (This is not a big issue but it would be nice to be able to disable online payments completely)

2. This already exists too. Just unselect the “credit card” option as a payment types allowed and the button will not show on the invoice.
Is it possible to give non admins rights to create invoices, etc…? It is linked to a website that he doesn’t need to have acces to but he needs to be able to use the plugin.
Non admins can only see invoices under the “my invoices” menu. There isn’t a way yet to have multiple levels of access rights in the system.

when I create an invoice I choose the option Recurring Invoice Weekly
and after one hour i found the system created more than 500 invoices

When you create a recurring invoice we create future invoices for you and this is working exactly as designed. The recurring invoices are all hidden from the main view however and only visible when you select the ‘Recurring’ link from the parent invoice.
If you must delete all the recurring invoices at once, the quickest way is to just delete the parent invoice. This is the invoice that you originally created and selected the ‘Repeat’ checkbox. Deleting the parent invoice will remove all of those future recurring invoices that were automatically created.

PreSales question… does this plugin integrate with WooCommerce at all, so as to pull in products from Woo?
We have a WooCommerce integration in progress although it has stalled a bit as it’s not exactly clear what our customers want from such an integration. At the very least we are thinking it could automatically create a new invoice when a WooCommerce sale occurs and simply pre-fill the invoice details with the WooCommerce order details.
Anyway, due to current time constraints (and aformentioned lack of details) a WooCommerce integration won’t be added to Quip Invoices any time soon.
