Hi, i just update the plugin but:
Members area! Clients can now login and manage all of their invoices from the WordPress dashboard – how i do not see any option here!
You can now create invoice templates which save common settings and line items for reusing many times – templates does not save after creating a invoice!
There is a new section called “My Invoices” that clients will see. So if you create a new invoice and new client, a WordPress user will be created for that client which you can check in the client details section. This client can then login to your WordPress dashboard and they only see the “My Invoices” section and that section only contains the invoices assigned to them.
To save a template, when creating an invoice use the checkbox next to the “Create Invoice” button. Then you’ll see a new template in the templates section containing the same data you added in the invoice. You can then use this template to create new invoices from.
To update a template, you must go to the templates section and click “Edit” on the template you wish to change.

after i created a new invoice i do not see any templates, i do see the tab tamples but this is empty
I’m sorry it’s not working for you, it should just simply work out of the box. If you’d like any extra support you must pay for a support package as it appears yours has expired.
As I said, for most users this should just be a case of updating the plugin and the new features will begin to work. If it’s not working for you it could be any number of things I’m not sure about until I look into futher.

I found the problem, WP DB Booster gives the problem. I use SSL and WP DB Booster wants to open: http://cdn.oesmith.co.uk/morris-0.4.3.min.css?ver=1.0.0 (none SSL).

Glad you like the update. Bulk operations like Delete are a great idea, will add it to the backlog.
We’re looking into the PDF issue however in order to enable PDF creation we will have to change the minimum recommended specifications for users web servers and it will likely require new PHP version and extensions to be installed on every users web server.
Because of this we are reluctant to do it as it could potentially break the plugin for lots of people until they upgrade their servers.
hello just a pre-sale question, your plugin works very well and i would like to know if there is a way to improve the client search method when creating a new invoice… now is a simple list, it will be possible to create a search form inside in order to find the client maybe by email or phone number? thank you very much
We are actually already working on some improvements like this, particularly for users who may have lots of clients, payments, invoices etc. I hope that a better client search would be included in the next update or so.

Sorry you’re having trouble with the plugin. That error looks like perhaps you have some invalid characters in your Stripe API keys. Can you double check the Setting page, Payment tab and make sure your API keys are correct please?

Hi, pre-sale question. Does the plugin have a feature where the customer receives an option to accept or deny the quote in the email as well?
No, there is no option or button for the customer to accept/deny the quote currently. But it’s a great idea! Will add it to the backlog for a future update.
Can the Quote and Invoice template me easily customized? e.g, outline, text color etc?
The design of the quotes and invoices is pretty much set as-is. You can add your own logo but the design and layouts you see in the demo is what we have available currently.
Any update on recurring billing?
No updates on that at the moment. It’s still on the list but will be a little while before we start work on it. There are just too many things that we want to do with the plugin!
Does it already have some of these?
Recurring invoicing is in the pipeline but not implemented yet. We do currently support partial payments. As for the others, all are good suggestions and I’ve added to the backlog.
When I create a quote, the quote date and expiration date change back to Thursday, 01 January, 1970. This happens after I select each date and click create. Now the invoice also show the same dates.
Any way to fix this issue?
Alternatively it could be an issue with saving to the database, which would mean us checking what may have changed on your server. Could be a version issue.
Try disabling other plugins and also checking the console and if that isn’t the issue please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with details about your website and server (plugins installed, PHP version etc.) and we can go from there.
Is there a dashboard?
I’m not sure what you mean exactly? What would appear on this dashboard?
There is a section for clients to see all the invoices they have outstanding and to pay them. There is a section for the site owner/admin to see all their invoices, clients, payments etc. I guess in a way those are dashboards that show all of the various information needed.
A information dashboard with metrics… just an idea
Ahh yes, that is a good idea It’s one of my favorite ideas to add a series of reports and metrics, but not many people seem to want it so it keeps falling behind other requests.
We don’t do custom work like this.

I wanted to ask if there’s an available option to add nicely Terms & Conditions link to emails sent for invoices? As adding regular html didn’t work out. Any suggestions? I want that to be always included in invoice emails.
There isn’t currently an option to do that although I suppose you could add the link into the Notes section that is provided. It would just be a plain text link though unfortunately as that field doesn’t recognize html. It’s a good idea though, I will add it to the backlog.
hello i’m using your plugin and it’s great. i’ve only a problem when i write a long description into an invoice. If the description of a payment voice is too long it seems that i was not able to save it and nothing happens. do you have a length liit in description field? is it possible to expand it? thank you very much
Glad you’re enjoying the plugin. Yes, there is a limit on the description, 255 characters I believe. For now you’ll have to keep it lower than that number of characters but it’s certainly something we can increase in a future update.

If the description is not saving, it might indicate that everything else is not saving as well. Can you please try creating a few invoices, some with descriptions and some without and let me know if they save correctly.
Stripe has launched apple pay for checkout. Are you thinking to include it?
We have no plans to include Apple Pay at the moment, sorry about that.

Sorry, there is no front-end dashboard as it is designed for the admin of the website to manage invoices so it is on the backend logged in section.
There is a front end aspect to the plugin, it’s a place to allow clients to view their invoices and payments.

Clients can view invoices on the front end by clicking the link sent from the plugin when you choose to send them the invoice. You can also see it on the front end by clicking the “view” link from the Invoices list in the plugin admin.
Finally, there is a section in the back end called “My Invoices” that will appear for any clients so they can see all their invoices. They can access using the wordpress user system and only have access to that section.

No, that’s not built into the plugin at the moment. If you wanted that functionality you’d have to customize the code yourself.

Hi – is there anyway to lock the paypal merchant ID field for the “operators” for the site, so that they cannot change the email address of the paypal account?
Hi there, the plugin settings (such as paypal ID) can only be changed by website admins. If you have multiple admins there is no way to differentiate between which are allowed to change settings and which are not – we just use the standard WordPress user system.
So in short, no you can’t lock the paypal ID settings if you’re allowing multiple admin level operators to use your website.

Hi there – just wanted to give feedback/suggestion. Your plugin would have been perfect for our use IF the line items in a created template were modifiable/editable. E.g. If you have template for (1) Hammer $5.00/ea and (1) Nail at .05/each - that you could “Create invoice” from this template named “Hammer_and_Nails” then edit line item hammer or nail to increase qty adjust price (manually). Having these items and qty/price values static killed it for being solution for us at the moment. Just wanted to provide suggestion. Thanks!

You’ll only be able to charge the customer for the total amount of the invoice one time. If you require more charges, you’ll need to create another invoice.
You can however allow the customer to pay for the invoice in parts, so they only pay some of the invoice total at one time and then at a later time some more.

As I understand it, I create an invoice and I can charge the customer multiple times. This is adjustable the number of times? because I do not see the manipulation to do in the demo. Thank you
There is no way to set up some kind of recurring payment automatically, which is what I think you are asking for?
You can select the option to “Allow partial payment” during invoice creation. This then lets the customer choose how much of the invoice total they wish to pay. This allows them to make multiple payments over time to pay off the invoice. Could be 10 small payments or 2 large payments, totally up to the customer.
But no, there is not an option for things like “pay $10 a month for 6 months” and Quip Invoices automatically manages the payment. This is something we’d like to add one day but not any time soon.

Glad you like the plugin! There isn’t a date customization option at the moment sorry about that. If you’re comfortable with PHP code you can easily edit the files yourself or hire someone for 1-2 hours work to do so as well.

Can I add a light colored watermark “PAID IN FULL” in the middle of the invoice?
The invoice status is shown at the top on the invoice. PAID is shown in large letters in green background when the invoice is paid.
There is no functionality in the software to have a watermark like you mention.
