I highly recommend Portfolio Manager Pro. This plug in offers an easy method to display various projects, galleries or marketing portfolios. The tool is very flexible and has a solution for the different ways client wants to see their work displayed. Support has been responsive and effective. They have been helpful in getting my project up and running.

Although this gives you a template builder to design your layouts - it doesn't have some of the functionality of the free version (for example image sliders), and you can't create custom templates within your theme as per the lite version, which is great for custom layouts and adding additional fields with ACF.
Real shame as it limits the use of the plugin. We've stopped trying to use it and sort an alternative plugin.
Exceptionally fast and efficient support as well as being exactly the plugin I needed for a client project. Would recommend this PM Pro to anyone. Keep it up OTWthemes.
There are a lot of possibilities to customize your portfolio according to your wishes with this plugin. I'm an absolute beginner, so I could do the basics on my own but then I got stuck a little. It was so cool to find out, that the other comments about support are not exaggerated. You get responses really soon and as often as you need in order to fix your problems.

The plugin could have been great if it would be compatible with the Addon Essential Grid.
But unfortunately, when you select Portfolio Manager pro as the source od Essential Grid, you don't get the images because Portfolio Manager pro use his own system

I just checked on the support logs. Please note we stated we support the Visual Composer and the Content Manager page builders.
If I understand correctly what you need is the Essential Grid to be able to read the images from the Portfolio Manager. In this case you need to contact the Essential Grid and see why they can't read the images. Please understand we can't modify their code :-)
