One of the major drawback of your project is lack of geographical reference everywhere. If a person wants to insert education, he may want to add reference of the country, state and city. Same in other areas like employment.
in other scripts, coders have already implemented feature of inserting dependent drop downs of country-->state—>city. Some use default database from Maxmind.
This is extremely important because this gives a standard option that can be made searchable on such information.
