I modified the CHMOD, but now it refuses to install the module because something in the Writepage in class PdfGenerator is overloaded (or maybe overriden, as the first part of the message refers to the override that is impossible to install)
about 50 + extra modules installed, and never had a problem (and never had to modify server parameters). One question : I suppose the recursive mode for CHMOD 777 is only for the installation of the module, right ?
Following last mail :
OK, the module is installed (change in cache parameters did it), at least that’s what it says
However, still the old invoice is showing up !
Strange enough, on my test server everything works fine (including installation without changes in CHMOD)
I think I saw something about this in the comments from buyers, but since my first message I do not see it anymore on Envato (only my messages)
The module also want’s to write to your override/ catalog in root, if that catalog doesn’t have permissions it will not work for it to move the file during the install of the module. Then you will have to move it manually there.
If you have tested this in a local server, there is a different permission level that allow you to do this without CHMOD, thats the reason why it worked in your local environment.
Hello, The other site is not a local server, it is a copy of the website which is renamed and to which I give access to the devellopers . The module was installed with no problems, just by creating the pdf folder in the theme (no modification of CHMOD) . On my main site, however, I finaly manage to install the module, but still the old invoices come up. It seems that the templates were created (I see 4 in the pdf folder). What could do that there are not the ones that are used (it seems) ? Could I replace the PS templates with your (I keep a copy of PS tpl of course), but in which folder are they ?
Have you tried to delete the .tpl-files in the pdf/ catalog inside your theme/-catalog and then generate new ones through the module? Sounds like something wrong has occured during your attempt to install the module.
You could send me your FTP and store administration details in a private message if you want, I can then try to trouble shoot this for you.
Can you please confirm me where the model files are located ?
You are talking about file / catalog, I do not have aa folder named catalog
in my theme
I just copied the folder named pdf in /theme/mytheme/ from the test site to the production site. It’s working on the test site, but not on production site.
Is it the right folder to copy, or is there something else ?? As I told you after a few problems, with the production site (and not with the copy of it on the same VPS server !! ??) the module installed correctly on both websites, but on the production shop it’s still the old invoices coming out. Is there something to set on or off in the parameters (like override, ...) or just confirm that I am just copying and deleting the files from the right place. Obviously it seems the old Pdf have not benn replaced by the new ones on the production shop, but I have no explaination why.(I can configure the settings, the colors and select the 2 templates in the backoffice)
I have already explained this several times. The module will during the install write files to 1. Your override/-catalog in root of your installation.
When you configure your settings in the module, it will also check if it exist an pdf/-catalog in your theme-catalog under /themes/THEMENAME/pdf/ with the .tpl-files corresponding to the theme you choose. If there is no files or catalog in your themes/-catalog, then you have permission problems on your server.
I can help you trouble shoot this, but it will require that you send me over your details.
hello. can i see the admin demo area?
