I am sand box testing the Paypal Currency Converter Pro using European Central Bank but the rate seem very different to what I get checking with There used to be a Yahoo option for the currency source in the plug in but there is only ECB now?

Yes it is true, the Yahoo option has gone for good. I recommend you to get a free lifetime API key from OpenExchangeRates.

Thank you! That is much better.

Hi Before I buy this plugin I want to know if it will work for me.

The problem I am having is that the base currenct used is ZAR, an unsupported paypal currency. Which I think your plugin will solve. BUT, the site I am working on is multicurrency… What will your plugin do if the user chooses AUD or GBP etc and then checks out to pay with paypal? Thanks Lee

This plugin is not ment to be used with another multicurrency plugin because the main purpose is to have a non supported shop currency converted to your PayPal account currency.

I currently am completing the development of As you can see it has a currency converter on it. I understand that your solution wont work with a currency converter? Are there any that can work? How can I implement your plugin and still allow users to convert the currency on our site? Any advice or help will be valued. Thanks Lee

That’s correct. What could be done is this: Have the plugin set up for your basic shop currency and your PayPal account currency and only allow it to be active for this relation(this needs some code change in the plugin.). With other words if your customer selects a currency on the frontend that is already an allowed PayPal currency then you don’t need conversion(although PayPal will convert, but not to your advantage). If the customer currency is non of the allowed PayPal currencies and not your shop currency, then you are out of luck with PayPal. Meeaning you need to disable the PayPal payment option for that currency(with a suitable function inside your function.php).

As I told you on email I want a refund because I couldn’t use the plugin, always see an error.

Thank You!

First of all, I am still willing to help you to fix this issue. But if you want your money back you need to file the refund request at code canyon.

Hi, I’m about to buy this plugin but before I’d like to know if with this plugin Paypal can accept Colombian Pesos? Thanks

This plugin converts a shop currency, which is not accepted by PayPal, into one of the possibilities PayPal offers to its customers. In your case this would most probably be from COP to USD.

I don’t know yet but will have a look at it and tell later(1-3 busines days). You can as well try yourself with the free version, but keep in mind that Yahoo option is no longer working.

I just bought this plugin but I am afraid it is not working for me :(

My default currency is USD and I am using the following plugin to display multiple currencies as a drop-down in my store:

I think the plugin is not detecting the currency selected by the user but it assumes USD and when it redirects to Paypal, the amount is not converted as per the selected currency. Example: If the payment is 25 EUR, it will show as 25 USD in Paypal, it doesn’t convert.

Is there any solution for this?

Thank you

Oh… I thought I had found the solution for my problem but it seems I didn’t :(

Would you be able to do this kind of work (for a cost obviously)? Otherwise, can I proceed and issue a refund?

Thank you

ATM I don’t have capacities to help you with your specific solution. The question I have: Why would you want to offer your customer different currencies when after all you want to be paid in USD. I can only assume that you want to give additional information to the customer. However, you can file a refund request.

Hmm, I understand, thank you.

Regarding your question… The store is not in a country where USD is the main currency. The store ships to 5 countries and each country has its own currency. It is important and useful for the user to see the prices on their own currency, not always in USD.

So, basically, yes, the multiple currencies are just for information purposes. However, PayPal shall be accepted and none of the 5 currencies used are supported by PayPal. This way, we really need to have the currency converted to USD on the background perhaps, before it redirects to PayPal. This is how it works in many open-source ecommerce platforms such as Magento and others.

I will ask for the refund. Thank you for your fast reply.

Hi there,

I purhased this plugin a while ago and I’m recently having issues with one of my sites where peopl can’t make purchases.

I’m converting Indonesian Rupiah to USD In checkout so paypal can receive money.

Do you know of any issues wthat could be in connecton with your plugin.

thanks Tea

Please check if you have used Yahoo as a currency exchange rate provider. If so, change it to OpenExchange. Yahoo is no longer providing the service in use.

Buenas tardes soporte.

I needed to translate your request, because I don’t speak Spanish. However, everything you need to know is stated on in section “Mandatory Settings” and following.

I downloaded and activate this plugin PAYPAL CURRENCY CONVERTER PRO FOR WOOCOMMERCE and it seems to be working fine on the checkout page , its just these problems are hindering me from putting the exchange rate for the currency or for it to be updated automatically , I tried searching online and through the FAQ but I didnt find any answer . kindly help me in this please? the problems are listed below

Warning: fopen(): php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known in /home2/tranzyman/public_html/wp-content/plugins/paypal-currency-converter-basic-for-woocommerce/paypalcc-basic.php on line 382

I see…the free version. Fair enough. However the free version is not on the same versioning level and basically does not entitle you to ask questions on this site. Her is a hint anyway: YAHOO no longer offers this service.

yes sorry to bother you , I figured that out when I checked some previous comments here . newbie here just trying things. thanks for the reply though.

Any idea why an item that’s priced 6,6 USD in my website ends up being charged at 5,4 USD on Paypal? Exchange rate seems to be OK (set manually). My main currency is CLP. Thank you.

To answer this question I need more information. Until then I can only assume what the problem is. What puzzles me first is that you mention there is something priced at X USD on your website but your “main” (shop?) currency is set to CLP. How can this be? There is most probably another plugin involved. Lets say you have an item that is priced with 10000CLP in your shop and should be payed via PayPal and the exchangerate is correctly settled to around 0.0016CLP/USD then you should be payed 16.45USD, right?

That’s right. Site is on CLP and I’m converting into USD as a Paypal currency. When I get to Paypal, though, it goes through paying around 6 to 8% less of the actual exchange rate which is pretty odd. I used to have another plugin (WC Currency Switcher) which I have disconnected as I’m using yours now. Somehow, even though exchange rate is OK in the frontend, Paypal would always charge less :(

This needs further investigation. I urge you to check your functions.php, just in case you manipulated that for whatever reason. Then make sure there is no oprhaned code from older plugins messing with your setup. Then check your item settings regarding pricing etc. Furthermore, make sure the exchangerate is registered as expected.

I purchased ur plugin just now. our base currency is inr and hence the pricing of all the products is set to Inr. Hence I was not able to activate paypal before installing ur plugin as Inr is a non paypal supported currency. However after installing ur plugin though the paypal option got activated the conversion from inr to usd is not happening. In simple words if a guest is selecting a product the equivalent of inr in numerics is showing in usd at the ehck out. Kindly state what needs to be done

I’m sorry, for an unknown reason I have missed your request. Have you figured out your problem already, or do you still need assistance.

Hello there,

I just bought your plugin, it’s working fine but the Auto-processing function is not working.

Any idea what could be happening?

Hi, me again! i modified:

// virtual order, mark as completed if ( $virtual_order and $options[‘autocomplete’] == ‘on’) { $order->update_status(‘processing’, __( ‘Due to PPCC settings for virtual Orders: ’, ‘PPCC-PRO’ )); // Reduce stock levels $order->reduce_order_stock(); }

It is fine? thanks!

I need virtual products order change to processing, not completed

The code snippet you showed should do the trick However, I think when s.b. payed for a virtual product the order is completed, isn’t it? .

just purchased and testing your plugin. Seem to working okay with the normal PayPal checkout, but PayPal Express is returning same error as if currency isn’t supported:

PayPal error (10605): An error (10605) occurred while processing your PayPal payment. Please contact the store owner for assistance.

Am I missing some setting specifically for it?

Thank you

Hi, that’s great news. I’ll try again. Thanks

Did you send another message?

Hi, nope, haven’t even signed in for a while…

Hey does this plugin will change currency when checking-out with paypal? now my website is AED

Yes it woll do this, once set up in the right manner.

Hello there, wich is the correct method for upgrading the plugin to a new version? Thanks!

If you are not able to just install the WP way, then you might deinstall the old version fisrt and then you install the new version. Or you copy paste the content of the plugin folder from the new plugin(extracted on your local HD) to the plugin folder of the old plugin on your webserver.

Guten Morgen,

I have purchased this plugin today and I have no doubt that it is a great plugin. I have noticed an error in the paypal display when it calculates the totals. In my checkout page it shows 69.39 USD instead of .6939 USD. Cart total: 0.69 USD Handling fee: 0.31 UD Order Total Inclusive Tax: 69.39 USD

Can you please help me to sort out. I can send you screenshot by email

Yes, please got to and send me the screenshot while using the “Contact Author” form or better send me a private message.

I think this has to do with the code in the paypal settings >> description. Screenshot at the following URL

The description matches exactly to what you have provided. Sorry I am unable to figure this out. I want to provide you access to my website so that you can please have a look. How can I send you a private message with the site access details. Is it through contact Author form? Also I want to include in the breakdown, the product cost in USD just above the handling fee which is currently not shown.

I think you need to go to the author profile page…there you can send PM with your email as sender.

Thanks, I have sent you the URL and login credentials. I realized I forgot to add wp-admin to access the admin end. Kindly do so. Thanks again.

I purchased this item “PAYPAL CURRENCY CONVERTER PRO FOR WOOCOMMERCE” and get this:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare get_ppcc_option() (previously declared in /home3/naturasb/public_html/wp-content/plugins/paypal-currency-converter-basic-for-woocommerce/functions.php:24) in /home3/naturasb/public_html/wp-content/plugins/paypalcurrencyconverterpro/functions.php on line 40

DOP (Dominican Peso) 1US$=49 pesos

See my screenshots, backend: and checkout: Everything works as expected! Maybe your understanding is different.

OK is working. Thanks. and Sorry for bothering you.
