Will this plugin work with Currency which is not supported by PayPal? For instance, INR is not supported by PayPal and the PayPal gateway cannot be activated on this Woocommerce. Will it work with help of your extension?

Yes, that’s why I created this plugin. You set your shop currency to INR and then decide to which allowed currency it should be converted for PayPal payment. As you can see on the example snapshots in my case it is KRW which is also not supported by PayPal. Have a look here: http://www.intelligent-it.asia/ppcc/

Convert USD/EUR TO RON? Romanian Leu

Yes, this is absolutely possible but only from RON or LEI towards EUR since RON or LEI is not a supported PayPal currency. Have a look at the image: http://www.intelligent-it.asia/ppcc/assets/images/ron2eur.jpg Exchange Rate provider for this example is European Central Bank but could be any of the three provided currency exchange rate provider.

Another possible scenario (among many): http://www.intelligent-it.asia/ppcc/assets/images/RUB2EUR.jpg Exchange Rate provider for this example is European Central Bank but could be any of the three provided currency exchange rate provider.

Awesome, will be your first buyer! PayPal not supported for ZAR, now its possible!

Will you please assist with the following error:

Unfortunately I can not reproduce this error, please try another exchange rate provider and save the settings to see if that helps.

Is it possible to allow the user to select the currency?

Yes, of course. You set your WooCommerce Shop currency in WooCommerce’s settings first. After that you have to choose the allowed PayPal currencies for the conversion with a select box in my plugin.

I think I have to clarify this…In case you refer to the user as your customer on the web front-end, then the answer is no, In case your talk about the user as back-end admin, then the answer is yes. I doubt that there is an opportunity in offering the customer a choice for currency conversion…this would be another roadblock in online payment in my opinion. Though it could be done eventually…if demand is there, I will consider building such a plugin or extension.

do you have any video ? I checked it but no change in currency conversion.

I have corrected the error from my side. It was my old code which was not allowing your plugin to work.

I’m glad that it worked out for you. Thanks for giving the feedback and for pointing out the price change. Regarding the opportunities you gain with this plugin I believe that this price is still a bargain.

Yes this price is also affordable, but soon after I was about to buy this product, Suddenly it changed the price tag. Missed the $10 for just 2 hours.

amazing! well done

Thank you! Please check out the latest version as well.

I bought this plugin as a pre-PRO version, which means I bought it before it was posted here. I can say that the plugin works great but the most important thing is that Henry does an amazing job providing support! So if you ran in any kind of problem, you can 100% count on Henry to help you get through. I’d like to see other high quality plugins developed by you Henry!

Keep up the good work!

Thanks a lot!

As of version 1.1 the Tax will be also converted. Due to WordPress’s update to 3.8 the admin backend layout has changed slightly. The old WP icons seem to be no longer valid and have now been replaced by ‘dashicons’. Furthermore the PayPal checkout description text will be also updated on manual exchange rate updates.

Hello, please check your servers php.ini for the entry “allow_url_fopen=0” change it to “allow_url_fopen=1” or add that entry.

Hello query again, really in Argentina (ARS) have 3 types of values ??for the dollar (USD) is possible to manually set the value of conversion to set an appropriate value and not the official …?

You may set the exchange rate to whatever you want. But bear in mind that it should be a reasonable value ;-)

I just purchased this plugin, but on activation it is giving me this error.

The plugin generated 235 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.

Please update the plugin to the latest version and check again, thank you. This one is harmonized with WordPress 3.8.1 and WooCommerce 2.1.2

Hi, a quick question for you.

Need to clarify (probably my brain is overheated in the end of a week), will that plugin allow customers to choose a currency to pay/view with and ACTUALLY pay using this currency despite what is being set in WooCommerce as a default shop’s currency?

Regards

It allows you, the shop owner, to decide the targeted currency. Please check out the documentation and look at the screenshots you may find there and eventually you will understand. It is all about to getting your ‘exotic’ shop currency into one of PayPal’s allowed currencies. The customer does not have a choice here. But it allows you to offer PayPal payment for your customers. Regardless of the currency that the customer might favorite. Let me give you one example: Your shop currency is KRW, or any currency that is not supported by PayPal, so actually no chance to offer PayPal payment. Activate my plugin and choose one out of the allowed PayPal currencies to convert your shop currency to. Now the customer that selects PayPal as payment method will see the converted rate in his payment checkout form at PayPal.com. You as a shop owner also will be notified about the conversion in the order notes. Using the cron job you can set the plugin on autopilot, so it fetches the current exchange rate on your desired schedule.

Why the plugin not working I just place the order

Please be patient, I have to admit that I have never heard of that currency before. But I will find a way and make you happy. Just give me some time.

I have a solution for you. You can go to http://intelligent-it.asia/contact/ and leave me your contact details and I will send you a new version, or you wait for me to update the version here on codecanyon.net. The new version 1.3 will allow you to set up your own custom currency.

Upgrade to ver 1.3 should be available pretty soon.

PayPal Currency Converter Pro for WooCommerce now gives you the possibility to define your own custom currency!

CUSTOM CURRENCY

If you need a custom currency, check the check-box “Use Custom Currency”, then you will see 3 new text input fields called Code, Symbol, and Name. Fill this out with the appropriate settings. For example: Code=XOF, Symbol=XOF, Name= XFA Franc Save your settings and navigate to WooCommerce’s settings page where you should find your new custom currency. Select it and save your settings. Navigate back to PayPal Currency Converte Pro settings page to check if everything is set. PayPal Currency Converter Pro settings page

Google does not support MNT. Will this work with Coinmill.com?

It works with the openexchangerates api that is built in the plugin. (If you can live without the Google history chart and the themoneyconverter.com ticker, they are for informational purpose only) Here is the proof:

Admin backend: Mongolian Tugrik (MNT)

Shop checkout page: Mongolian Tugrik (MNT) checkout

PayPal pay page: Mongolian Tugrik (MNT) checkout PayPal

Hi,

I’m using your plugin’s custom currency option. PayPal works, but all orders are pending even after payment was made. My customers don’t receive confirmation emails and my stock is not being reduced because of this. I found this error in my PayPal log:

Payment error: Currencies do not match (sent “BAM” | returned “EUR”)

Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks!

Watch your Inbox for the update Notification of Version 1.4. It will also set non virtual orders to “processing” and reduce the stock.

Problem fixed :) Excellent support, thanks!

Great work :) – This is a “Must Have” plugin for any shop needing the default currency to be converted to an allowed PayPal currency on checkout. Many thanks for your excellent work to provide a customised solution to work with the PayPal Digital Goods gateway. A huge thanks !! 8-)
