I am looking at the effect on the envato logo.
I want to use this on a large logo to be used as header (banner) on my website.
Is it possible?
Hi! Yes, this is possible, if your banner has fixed width and height. Using regular CSS you can put the canvas-element with logo where you want: at top, in a slider/banner etc.And be careful with combination of big size of canvas with small size and high count of particles, this can be not fast.
The effect is wonderful! Immediately drew the attention of site visitors. With this effect the site looks much prettier. Recommend! To see the effect: www.honeynatural.ru
It would be great to go from one image to another with this effect. Is it possible?
Not yet, but it’s nice idea. Thanks, i’ll try to do this in next version.
can we add to wordpress?
Hi! Yes, but it requires some setup. You’ll need manually add the code from “Usage” section on http://particler.swypse.ru in the yours site layout/template.
Unfortunately there are no ready-to-use wordpress-plugin yet.
Does this effect have to have a white or solid background, or can it be placed over a background texture for a site, without causing a white or solid bounding box around it?
I want the dots to be directly over my website background image. Is this possible?
I’ve prepared some demos at http://particler.swypse.ru/demo/ to show the plugin on the dark non solid background. Hope this will help you imagine how it will be displayed on your site.
Any transparent PNG file can be used as a source image.
Thanks for the question!
I was wondering if there was a way to make the images greyscale when not hovered and coloured where the mouse hovers.
Let me know, thanks!
Thank you for the idea, I will try to add some options to plugin to make this behavior possible.
But now you can do this in your code:
<canvas class=”canvas” ... ></canvas>
I am facing an issue using Particler js for the hover effect. In some version of Firefox, the animation is not smooth as compare to chrome version and same case with some version of Chrome. Below is the version detail of the browser in which I am facing an issue.
Firefox version:59.0.2 (64-bit)
Chrome version: 66.0.3359.117
Can you send me some demo files and example of particler’s config to check the issue on my local pc? firstname.lastname@example.org
If the count of particles is too big then you can really face the problem with performance in firefox, indeed chrome has better support of animations. I’ll try to answer more detailed after receiving demo files.
