Can the PHP proxy work on a different domain than the desktop site contents?

I want to have a domain for the mobile version that the desktop version.

Thank you!

I don’t know your exact setup, but you’ll probably need to upload the mobilitee folder to the server containing the content your mobile app will pull from to avoid any cross-domain AJAX issues. There are workaounds for this (see CORS, for example) but it’s easiest if you can serve mobilitee from the same domain.

The item description says that “Live demo removed on 7/6/2012 as my home site has been updated and I haven’t had a chance to update the demo code”.

I would like to purchase this item, however I am following your post to see the updated demo. It has been a long time, the demo has not been updated. When we can expect to see the demo? Is this script too complex to be configured with your new site?

Hi sanjayahuja, I switched my personal site to an extremely simple single-page site, and there simply isn’t any content for mobilitee to pull from. Seriously, there’s maybe one sentence on my homepage.

Mobilitee does include the complete, fully-documented demo app in the bundle you download, however, so that you may refer to it for examples of how it works.

I’ve just uploaded the full documentation to dropbox here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/24670781/mobilitee_documentation.html

Hope that helps, Paul

Hi PaulpullenI

I would like to purchase this item, however I like to see updated demo.

Is this app still supported?

Hello Paul I have some question, am not php or ajax expert so I will like if its posible you to help me customizing this app, of course I will pay for it so tell me if this is posible

1. add this app into yours: http://codecanyon.net/item/mobile-store-locator/239351?WT.ac=category_item&WT.seg_1=category_item&WT.z_author=yougapi

2. add an existing web form form my webpage 3. send something like push notification to each user of this app 4. social links

My best Oscar

Wanted to buy this! But, sadly…., Looks like the author either died or was perhaps a con artist!

Works fine, chekit out here: http://acme.r3nta.me

I don’t get it, does it create the Android and iOS mobile app for your website?

Sorry for the ridiculous delay in responding. I do not receive any notifications when a user posts a new question, and I haven’t checked my author dashboard in awhile. This application consists of 2 parts: a php “proxy” that is capable of “extracting” pieces of pages from your non-mobile website (you send the proxy a specially-formatted URL detailing which section of which page you’d like to extract (via CSS selectors), and it sends back the desired content from your existing site), which is then fed into the second part: a jQuery-mobile based wrapper which displays that content in a suitable manner for consumption by mobile devices. It does not create a “native” app store app.

is it an app where the author replies to questions or has he done a runner
