Hello hemn. Is it possible to run the video slider locally with mp4s and no internet connection? Would i need to download jquery on my computer? I’m a bit stocked trying to do that. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi, I am working with the Mighty Slider Video slider.

I have videos loading and am wondering if it’s possible to change the way the play button is displayed?

It currently has a moving circle that goes around the play button. It makes it seem like the video is still loading.

Is there a way to change it so it displays simply as a play button and nothing moving around it?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hello, I am creating a simple full width slider based off of your example. I would like some of the cover images to stay centered when you shrink down the browser but some to align to the left of right. It looks like centered is the default setting as that is what it does now. How can I make some stay centered and some align to the left or right?

Hi,
Thanks for using MightySlider.

Unfortunately i couldn’t understand your English. Can you be clear or just show me a wireframe?

And please renew your support period.

Hi, I am using the mighty slider to display video and image slides.

When the slide is a video, I would like to change the video play icon for the cover to a static play button rather than the default where a circle is spinning around the play button icon. How can I do this?

Thank you

worked great. thank you!

You’re welcome!

Another question on this, With the spinner off now, it’s a little harder to see the play button. IF I want to change the opacity or color of the circle behind the play button, how do I do that?

Also, can I change the color of the previous and next buttons? They are currently white and it’s hard to see those as well.

Thanks!!

Hi hemn,

Could you please help me understand how the slider capture the event for when a video is clicked to be played? Would you be able to share code as an example?

I see when a video is played, ms inserts an iframe. Then removes it when finished. I’m looking to capture these same video start and stop events so I can disable then re-enable captions for the slide.

I need to do this because in our styling the video controls at the bottom are blocked when played.

We are mixing both images and video slides, so I’m thinking by capturing a video play event, or similar, would be the ideal way to code this.

Thank you!

Thank you for the reply.. I have the MediaGenerated event in my javascript, however, it’s not firing when the video is clicked to play. Any ideas? I have it set up similar to the ‘Active’ event and the Active event is firing no problem. Here is my code:

slider.on(‘active’, function (name, index) { //code here });

Event below does not fire when video is clicked to play:

slider.on(‘mediaGenerated’, function (name, index) { //code goes here });

Thank you!

I cannot get the “mediaGenerated” event to fire. Can you give me an example of how I wire this up in code when the play button on the video is clicked?

And just for my understanding, this event fires when the <iframe> element is inserted into the DOM for playing the video correct?

I was able to get the mediaGenerated event to fire. This is working now. thank you very much.

Hi,

How can I determine if a slide is a video slide? I have a mix of image and video slides.

Here is an example of my video slide div:

In the jquery, I’ve tried the following code in the Active event, but it’s not working to hide the caption: }

active: function(name, index){
      var slide = this.slides[index],
       videoElement = $('video', slide.element).get(0);
if (videoElement) {
   // code to hide caption
}

Also, if I want to hide the the caption when the video is played (rather than when slide becomes active), would I use the mediaGenerated event?

Thanks!” />

Hi, I have figured out how to determine if a slide is a video. Now I need to know how I can determine when the video is clicked to play. I saw other posts that mention using the “mediaGenerated” event. I added this in, but it doesn’t seem to get fired when I play a video. Can you please help me understand how to catch the event of when the video is played?

We are working on a very short timeline to get this out to the customer. So it’s helpful to know what is the average turnaround for responses on this support site? I have posted a few questions with no responses after several days. A couple questions a while ago were answered (which the answers were very helpful) however, now there’s a long delay.

Thanks..

Hi,
Thanks for using MightySlider and sorry for the late.

If your captions are inside the MightySlider parent so you can use css to hide the caption. Every time a video clicked to play mightyslider will add a class: ‘mSMedia’ to the parent and remove it when the video closed.

how do i just animate a layer fading in?

I would love to use the ken burns full screen version of this to display my daughters pics. I see mention of lazy loading. Is it possible to use that version and load many images in it. I mean like hundreds or even thousands? I am thinking I would need to most likely wire a db call and have php feed the images but would the silder be able to cope?

Hello,

I want to buy your product but i would like to know if there’s a feature that can auto height the frame.

For exemple : http://jquery.malsup.com/cycle2/demo/container-resize.php

Thanks!

Hi,
Thanks for your interest in mightySlider.

This feature is available in mightySlider but there is no demo for it.

Thanks for your answers! Is it difficult to program this feature? Or is it just a parameter to enter?

Thanks again
